School cancels prom because of a lesbian

What the fuck? Seriously, just what the fuck? I can almost see the logic in saying no to females in tuxedos (it's tradition, you will wear your dress and you will like it) but cancelling the entire fucking prom just because a lesbian wants to bring her girlfriend as a date is well over the top.

What if it doesn't work that way? What if the "persuaders" decide to put her in the hospital so she and her girlfriend can't attend? Can you imagine the legal ramifications to the school district if that happens?

If their goal is to set one group of students against another, I can't think of a better way to accomplish it.

I'm guessing they are counting on them to talk to her in a calm and respectful manner as all young people these days communicate. I fully expect this girl to have to move from all the death threats she will get. Either that or be dead.
