See Brian brings up a good point. What is more important when judging someone like Doink The Clown. Do we judge all the wrestlers who have played him, do we judge all the characters those wrestlers have also been, or do we just judge all of Doink's characters.

What it tells me is that those wrestlers gave Doink in ring credibility. Matt Bourne made the character great. I'd think you have to judge all of the characters of Doink. I think at least.

I look at this. I think Santino is one of the greatest comedy characters ever. He is better than Goldust, Doink, and Soctty 2 Hotty, but the difference is, he has a chance to keep going for years and improve his in ring talent. He can become great in the ring if given his chance. But even watching his matches, how often does Santino botch a move? He sells well and looks realistic in the ring, even if it involves being beat up by a group of girls. That makes him a great wrestler, he goes out and does his job to the highest level.
