Reigns is the one who'll be pushed as THE guy. Between the way he broke up the Shield vs. Wyatt family brawl a couple of weeks ago
Oh yes. As you well know, Survivor Series hasn't aired over here, but when I saw the ending with the Wyatts, I knew he was going to get the sustained push. Not that there was any lack of evidence to that - he's hit the Spear to get the Shield the win, he's the primary guy during the assisted Powerbomb and JBL marks out the most for Reigns.
I've been a huge fan of Rollins ever since he had the metal gimmick in NXT and he's still my favourite of the three. I hope he can manage to get over in the main roster, but I think he can pull it off.
The pre-Shield hype concerning Ambrose was a little rough to take and I initially brushed it off as indy marks doing their thing, but ever since he came to the WWE, I saw what all the fuss was about this guy's mic skills and I ate me a big ol' helping of humble pie. The funny thing is, Ambrose seemed to get the initial big push, since he held the singles title and he got the match against 'Taker. I wouldn't say he's fallen out of favour per se, but Reigns just overtook him a little.
During the Shield's first few months, I saw Reigns as a Mason Ryan or even a Zeke Jackson - a big mute that they shovelled in there to give the group some muscle, yet he always exceeded my expectations (low as they were). Sure, he wasn't the mouthpiece of the group, but he did well in the limited mic time he got. Not astounding or world-altering, but good. He also went from "not the worst" to "pretty damn good" in the ring as the Shield rolled on. Ryback reminded us last year that you don't need to be Savage on the mic or Bret in the ring to get massively over and that booking CAN indeed play a major part in allowing a wrestler to get over.
And then, there's the look. He certainly has it - he's a big, relatively handsome man with some cool tattoos (if you're into that sort of thing, which I'm not really).
One of his biggest assets is his age - the dude's 28 and he can easily go for another ten to fifteen years (barring injuries and wellness-violations).
My stance on him is - what've we got to lose? I'd certainly enjoy an internal-Shield feud and programme with the Uso's or Trips or even the Rock after that.
