Report On Sting's Potential Role

I'm not a big fan of this really. I suppose if he came in as the Main Event Mafia Sting with the suit and shades and was the Anti-Authority type of Gm that always apposed Triple H it'd be acceptable. Of course it would have to lead up to a Summer Salam match between the two.

However, when it comes to the Undertaker, I'd like to see the old school Crow Sting, and I just don't think you can make that type of switch. Although, the opposite holds true. You can go from Crow Sting to Main Event Mafia Sting no problem, but vice versa it would kind of lose me. Like, where did he go from dressing and acting like the Mafia Sting to all of a sudden quiet Crow Sting? Unless they made something tragic happen to him?

Wow as I'm writing this I'm starting to get ideas lol. I'd be ok with him coming in that Mafia Sting Gm role, then let's say something tragic the Undertaker or even the Wyatts do to him as the Gm make him turn dark after a brief absence ala the movie "The Crow"...maybe Wyatts do something terrible to him at the behest of the Undertaker which forces him to go bat shit (literally) whooping ass on the Wyatts ala The Nwo and then settling the score with Taker at Mania 31. That'd be siiiiiiick. lol.

Btw, as far as him wrestling with a shirt...just have him wear this like he did back in the day....

Personally, I'd like him to wrestle at Mania 30, but that idea I just came up with is pretty cool too haha.

I give zero credibility to "reports" like this and even less to the people who accept them as fact. However they debut Sting, it will be huge and befitting of a legend and the only WCW mainstay never to appear in WWE.

I agree. I couldn't see him coming to the WWE, just to be an authority figure. I'm sure he'll debut the night after Wrestlemania though.

If I were them, I would capitalize on the tons of WCW content on the WWE Network and bring back the STARRCADE PPV in November. Bring in Jericho, Goldberg, Sting, Nash, Hall, Hogan, Bischoff, Rey, Booker, etc. Fill the card with a bunch of new talent along with WCW talent so you can push the old content on the Network while also using the big PPV name to build new stars.

Imagine a potential card:

• WWEWHC: John Cena vs. Sting
• Goldberg vs. Ryback
• Daniel Bryan vs. Chris Jericho
• War Games: nWo (Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Roman Reigns and Big E. Langston) vs. The Authority (Randy Orton, Kane, The Miz, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins)
• Batista vs. Booker T
• Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust (WrestleMania rematch)
• US: The Big Show vs. Antonio Cesaro
• Tag: The Steiner Brothers vs. The Usos

Guys I would be STUNNED if he goes anywhere near the roof... They just settled with Martha Hart this year, damn they may get Owen into the HOF at last... I can almost guarantee that part of that settlement is that they will not use such a spot again.

Sting does not need to be in the rafters or his old gimmicks... it has to be new or it's pointless. WWE Sting is not the Crow gimmick, the surfer, it's new... unless they want to reform WCW... in which case it works but then Sting never makes his WWE debut as such.
