Following the draft this week Raw now has both champions like Smackdown did last year. CM Punk won MITB like last year and got drafted away from the belts like last year. Anyone not see what's going to happen? The only question is when? A shock (not to me becuase I'm typing it) is to have after the HHH Orton match have Orton punt HHH and then have CM Punk come out and take the title off HHH. Now that would screw up RAW's main event, but put the shock factor back into the WWE which it needs. Another obvious answer is just to have Edge beat Cena at Backlash. I though believe we will see a recycled storyline with a Raw champion on Smackdown for no real reason get attacked and have Punk take the title.

I'm Pretty sure with the way things are going cm punk will beat edge judgement day in chicago to win the world title. Instead of doing the whole surprise cash in. This gives CM punk 2 months of good build up to beat edge. It's really not that much different then last year but just a little bit

I think Punk let slip during the week that he doesnt want to do the surprise thing this year, he's going to make a challenge to the champion to meet him at a PPV. He also hinted at the PPV in Chicago, Judgment Day i think so he'll probably do it then against Cena or Edge...

Recycle...perhaps. However, you forgot the Orton and Legacy were the ones who prevented CM Punk from defending his World Heavyweight Championship and cost him the title last year at Unforgiven. Perhaps CM Punk will use the MitB briefcase after Orton defeats HHH and is weak...then ruins Orton's moment in the spotlight by costing Orton the WWE Championship and have Orton be a transitional champion yet again...or Orton and Legacy allow him to cash in then disqualify Orton to allow him to keep the title and humiliate Punk yet again...who knows...but I think Punk'll cash in against Orton for revenge...
I want Edge to bring the belt to SD! in a hard fought clean win at Backlash. Slowly build a face turn as he returns to Smackdown triumphantly as champ. I also want to end the brand split by the end of WM26. Here's how...
Separate thing for Punk. Slowly turn him heel. Have him play off his 'fastest rise' thing, and add one addiction to wrestling..."Championships". He wants to be the fastest person to win ALL of WWE's titles. Declare that he will not cash in MITB until WM26. Don't carry the case, don't get announced as the MITB winner, let the announcer's forget it.
Feud with Rey, win his IC belt (by the summer)...bait the Raw US Champ until he wants to go title for title (fall-ish). Beat him and either unify the belts or turn in the Raw belt right afterwards, stating he just wanted to add it to his resume. (Remember he's a heel).
Have CM Punk win the Royal Rumble and challenge for the World Title at WM26. This is where it gets tricky....since Vince likee to end WMs with good guy/belt/confetti.
At Mania have Cena or whoever your main face is win MITB, we need a legit main eventer for this to work.
Have Punk win the World Title. Have the WWE Champ (face) sucessfully defend in an epic. Punk in typical Edge fashion, cash in the 2009 MITB and win the WWE title, unifying the belts.

I think I like the idea of Edge winning the title at Backlash. Then, the following night on Raw, have a battered and bruised Edge come out and gloat about how he won. Punk's comes out and challenges Edge....that's right, challenges for the World Title (not using his MITB). That night, the two face off and Edge wins. After the match, Cena's music hits and Edge's attention is focused on the tron. While Edge's back is turned, Punk hands the ref the briefcase (so to cash in). Cena's music stops and the bell rings. Edge turns around and BAM! GTS on Edge. Which means Punk takes the belt back to SD!, AND "steals" the belt off Edge for a second time.

I agree in the sense that yes i believe this is more probable. However Orton a transitional champion yet again? He had a 200+ day title reign, if anyone is transitional its Edge. And don't worry Orton will have his day soon enough.
I would like to see Cena be the Raw champion and have rivalries with Orton, Triple H, Batista, Big Show, Matt Hardy, MVP (title vs title perhaps), and beat them all. I only say this cause I hate Cena, but I loved wrestling the most (in recent times) when he was beating everyone in 2007, and it got to summerslam and i wanted Orton so much to beat him, and when the match drew near I was almost having a heart attack. That Match! anyway....

I think what we are going to see is CM Punk challenge the winner of the Edge/Cena match for the wwe title at Judgement Day. I think this will end up being Cena. It was sort of teased in the 5 on 5 match the day after WM when Punk kept looking at Cena and his title, and I think it would be a great honor for Punk to beat Cena to take his title. He did the surprise thing last year, this year he wants to beat someone straight up, just like he is straight edge. If(or when) Punk beats Cena, this will solve the problem for not having a title on Smackdown. Also, this gives the chance for Punk to be in the spotlight on Smackdown, and see whether he can truly carry a show. Smackdown, quite frankly, is devoid of any major talent, excluding Taker and Edge. This gives the guys on the fringe a chance to really shine, including Mysterio, Hardy, Jericho, and I really think that Benjamin will finally get his shot at a world title. But for now it would make sense for Punk to get the title, so he can defend it against Edge and Jericho and see what he can do with it.
Yeah CM Punk cash in the MITB at Judgment Day in his hometown of Chicago and Im gonna say he uses it on Orton after Orton wins the Belt in a Hell in a Cell because it was Orton who cost him the belt to begin with. Ive been saying that since he won at WM as well as some inside info from a friend who knows Edge, she went to school with him in Oakville and talks to him all the time. I had her ask him for me

Anyways... I'm speculating Punk will cash in for Judgement Day in Chicago, against either champ but i think if Orton is a champ then it will be against him. I know this doesn't solve the two titles one brand issue but if i think what i've written comes to fruition then this will be the first time a MITB cash-in is unsuccessful.

The only way for this to work is for someone to beat Punk for the briefcase. If they can't do that, then the angle is a failure. No one, except people from Chicago and ROH marks want to see Punk cash it in and win the belt...again.
There are many more viable candidates to have the briefcase than Punk. Benjamin, MVP, Matt Hardy, John Morrison, Kane.
I just came up with the perfect way for this to work. Have him lose the briefcase to ... wait for it ...

Talk about the push someone needs. Both Punk and Morrison are on Smackdown, they can feud, and it could end with Morrison v/s Punk for the briefcase. I'd have Morrison, Rey Mysterio, and Jericho come out to make their case for the shot at the briefcase. They have a three way dance that night, Morrison wins it, and he goes on to Backlash to face Punk for the briefcase.
It puts Morrison, the briefcase, and everyone involved over. Punk's a former champion. He shouldn't need the case to get over. He's over by being straightedge.

Anyway, so I don't get an infracture for spamming, I'll contribute something relevant to this post.
I highly doubt this is a recycled storyline. When WWE recycles storylines, they're not stupid. They don't do the same story twice within a year of each other, especially after their biggest event of the year when EVERYONE was watching. As a matter of fact, I sense a twist that no one sees coming... but, I won't be a smark and paste it all over the internet so it gets ruined for the audience.
