Rebook a Wrestlemania

Wolf Pac

Mid-Card Championship Winner
Have you ever felt a past Wrestlemania could've been booked better than how it was at the time? If you do then pick any past Wrestlemania and tell us what matches you would've booked for that WM at the time.

It doesnt matter if you want to rebook the whole card or just add on or change 1 or 2 matches, just post the whole card anyway as long you add your changes in it. And try give reasons to your changes. If you havent made any changes then just "Same" underneath the match you havent changed.

You can rebook as much Wrestlemania's as you want.

Post away.

I would rebook Wrestlemania 13

1) #1 Contendership for Tag Team Titles
The Godwinns vs. Headbangers vs. New Blackjacks vs. Phill LaFon & Doug Furnas
Same

2) IC Championship
Rocky Maivia vs. The Sultan
Same

3) Vader vs. Mankind
The two were having problems at the time as a tag team and with the exception of Goldust & The Executioner they were the top two monsters to feud with Undertaker for the majority of Mid 96 - Early 97, so it would've been interesting to see these two face off.

4) HHH vs. Goldust
Same

5) No DQ Submission Match w/ Ken Shamrock as Special Referee - Winner faces Taker or Sid for the vacant WWF Title later in main event
Bret Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin
Same but just with the Winner faces Sid or Taker stip added on.

6) Winner faces Bret Hart or Stone Cold for the vacant WWF Title later in main event
Undertaker vs. Sid
Same as above. Originally though it was gonna be Bret faces Taker for the WWF Title regardless of whether he wins or loses to Austin and Sid wouldnt be involved in the title picture at all but then I thought about it and made this booking cause Sid at the time was too big of a main eventer to drop down and face a midcarder. I realize this would be two wins for Taker at WM 13 which would add 2 victories onto his streak which would make his streak 19 - 0 now but at least it's not like what others out there have pointed out that Taker being in an Undisputed Title Tournament at WM 27 would add more & more victories onto his streak not that I find anything wrong with it really, I mean Taker winning more than 1 match at WM has never been done before and I like that idea, it's history making.

7) European Championship
Owen Hart vs. British Bulldog
Like Vader - Mankind, these two were having problems as a tag team at the time but more times than Vader - Mankind did. The reason for this as revealed the next night after WM is that Owen wanted another shot at the Euro Title and because Bulldog was more popular. Frankly I think this would've been better to have than having BB & Owen defending their Tag Titles at the PPV, imo it would've been another classic teammate/brother vs. teammate/brother (in law) match in WM history along with the likes of Eddie vs. Rey, Taker vs. Kane, Matt vs. Jeff, Owen vs. Bret etc.

8) Chicago Street Fight
Ahmed Johnson & Legion Of Doom vs. Nation Of Domination (Farooq, Crush & Savio Vega)
Same

9) WWF Championship
Bret Hart vs. Undertaker
I've always truly believed this should've been the main event for WM 13. As hot as Austin, Sid, Taker & Bret were at the time, Bret & Taker were the veterans who deserved the championship match more at the time plus we never really saw a winner from the first match they had back at Royal Rumble 96 and I really cant remember the last time Taker beat Bret in a match, so Taker should've at least faced & defeat Bret here before he lost the title back to him in a rematch at Summerslam which would've looked good in the history books cause I also cant remember the last time the same main event from WM was booked for a rematch at Summerslam for the same World Title in the same year (hope that's not confusing for ya). Bret vs. Taker would've drew more ratings & been a better matchup for WM 13 than what Sid vs. Taker produced on the night. Sid vs. Taker is my least liked WM main event ever but I'm sure there's probs a more worse WM main event out there which I'm now considering making a thread for.

Honestly, Wrestlemania 23. Basically, i wanted to change the 2 main event matches, Cena vs HBK, and Taker vs Batista.

Cena vs HBK: Probably the match i was really pissed about. I was doing my research on the slowly evoling career of
John Cena and saw that he had a 3-0 record at Wrestlemania(Big Show, Jbl,HHH). I figured that he would probably lose because people would start to take notice of his record. At first i thought it would of been HHH(i want a redo of tht 1 too^^). But i thought i would settle for the showstopper to stop it. NOOO. I mean dnt get me wrong it was a good match but HBK (and HHH at WM22) tapping really ruined the night for me. I mean Hbk was already tapped to Angle 2 years and i thought this was HBKs bounce back time. Guess not.

Undertaker and Batista: Unlike the Cena Hbk match, i actually wanted Batista to tap in this match. I felt that this is where Taker should of unveiled his HELL'S GATE on the grandest stage of them all. And not on some worthless person like big daddy v.

WRESTLEMANIA 8: 8 matches

- Taker wins title @ Survivor Series 1991
- The Ultimate Warrior returns and wins Royal Rumble 1992

Grudge Match: Randy Savage vs. Jake The Snake Roberts

- Jake the Snake Roberts attacks Randy Savage at Wrestlemania 7
- Savage campaigns up until Wrestlemania 8 to be reinstated, and is.

8 Man Tag: Big Boss Man, Virgil, Sgt. Slaughter, Jim Duggan vs. The Nasty Boys, Repo Man, and The Mountie
- Same as Wrestlemania 8

WrestleMania 2
(No three arenas. The show will originate exclusively from the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago, Il. The action will be called exclusively by Gorilla Monsoon and Jesse "The Body" Ventura.)

Ray Charles still sings "America the Beautiful", but let's skip the bizarre video package that ends with Hulk Hogan being somehow promoted as an American WrestleStalin or something. It was an incredibly weird way to start the show. Ray Charles singing is more than entertaining enough on its own.

1. Killer Bees vs. Hart Foundation
Both these teams were in the battle royal, which is a complete waste. Bret Hart has talked about their matches together and mentioned that every time they went out there, they had the crowd in a frenzy. So why not do it at 'Mania? I'd give 'em time and let The Hart Foundation go over.

2. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper vs. "Mr. #1derful" Paul Orndorff
They turned Orndorff face and yet I don't remember them ever running this match. I would. Mania 1 tag team partners become Mania 2 opponents. This wouldn't be a great match, so I would hold them on time. But it would have great heat. Plus it would spare us what these two actually did on this show, which was ruin it with really bizarre and really blatant racism (Orndoff on Fuji, Piper on Mr. T). Plus it would spare us that quagmire of a boxing match Piper had with T. Since Piper had just finished up his run with Hogan and didn't really need the win, I'll give it to Orndorff.

3. Jake "The Snake" Roberts vs. Uncle Elmer
Squash. Pretty much the same as the Jake "The Snake" vs. George Wells match from the actual show, but Uncle Elmer is a more sympathetic snake attack-victim.

4. The Funks vs. JYD & Tito
Same. I love this match. I'd just want the commentators to put The Funks over better as legit madmen.

5. WWF Tag Team Championship Match
The British Bulldogs vs. The Dream Team (c)
Same. I love this match as well. Even Ozzy standing at ringside high as a paper kite. It's good stuff.

6. WWF Intercontinental Championship Match
Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat vs. "The Macho Man" Randy Savage (c)
At the actual show Dragon took on Hercules and Savage faced George "The Animal". What a waste! I'd have them go at it for about as much time as they could handle, and I'd have Savage go over. This would not only make this show a lot better, it would also give them that much more heat for a 'Mania 3 rematch.

7. Battle Royal
Similar to the actual Battle Royal from the event, but I took out The Bees and The Hart Foundation and I'm replacing them with George "The Animal" Steele, Hercules Hernandez, "Adorable" Adrian Adonis, and Don Muraco. Steele eats a turnbuckle, Adonis takes a turnbuckle, bump, bump, bump... We're left with Andre the Giant and "The Fridge" at the end, and (in Chicago) Dre goes over.

8. WWF Championship Match
Steel Cage Match
Hulk Hogan (c) vs. King Kong Bundy
Same. Though since this is fantasy booking, in a fantasy world this match could've been a lot cleaner. The end where Bobby Heenan takes a bump is especially sloppy and fake-looking (I won't say whose fault it was, but I will say that there were only two guys in the ring and it wasn't Heenan's fault). Hogan knowing how to wrestle probably would've sent the show off with a less weird ending.

Oh man I just sat down with this card in mind! First off, I really liked your card. So here's mine.

Hulk Hogan vs Roddy Piper- World Title Cage Bout
Dream Team vs Bulldogs- Tag Title Bout
Randy Savage vs Paul Orndorff- IC Title Bout
Ricky Steamboat vs Magnificent Muraco
Jake the Snake vs Hillbilly Jim
Junkyard Dog vs King Kong Bundy
Tony Atlas vs Hercules
Adrian Adonis vs Tito Santana
Pedro Morales/Bruno Samartino vs Funk Brothers
Cowboy Bob Orton vs Haku
Killer Bees vs Hart Foundation
Andre wins Battle Royal

How about an absolutely fantasy booking of Wrestlemania 2000 where all the major stars were healthy and Vince signed back a big one...

WrestleMaina 2000

WWF Champion Triple H vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

The Rattlesnake returns on the very last episode of Raw for 1999 and says he is 1. after his assailant and 2. wants the WWF title back. Austin wins the Royal Rumble match making him #1 contender. He then in the next month beats up all the D-X members who led him into the trap and gets them to confess to who ran him down. Before they can spill the beans, Shawn Michaels comes out and attacks Austin saying it was him who ran him down for his friend Triple H. Shawn Michaels says he did it because Austin ended his career and beat him for the title at WM 14. But HHH is revealed to be the true mastermind after Austin and Michaels fight each other to a double dq at No Way Out.

Over the next month Austin flies into a rage and tries to run over HHH at every turn. Austin fights through matches with D-X's Gunn, Dogg and Pac before finally arriving at Wrestlemania and defeating the Game and once again becoming WWF Champion and getting his revenge!

The Rock vs. Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels is also in the Royal Rumble and he starts eliminating everyone for Triple H to protect him. His number one target is the Rock and he eventually SCM's the Rock, knocking him out of the ring. When HBK is eliminated, the Rock is waiting for him and the two explode on the outside. The feud is a classic with the promos being outta this world. Rock defeats Michaels in an amazing match.

Bret Hart vs. Vince McMahon
Another shock return at the Royal Rumble was Bret Hart, he came in and instead of entering the ring he went straight after Vince. When he finally gets in the match he realises that to hurt Vince the best way to do that is for him to be the number one contender or for Steve Austin to be. He helps his nemesis Austin to victory when he sacrifices himself and eliminates both himself and Michaels. Hart then cuts promos on Vince and Vince the same. Hart on several occasions is close to locking Vince in the sharp shooter but he is always saved by Shane McMahon or the Big Show. But Hart finally gets Vince in the ring and he wins the match with the Sharpshooter.

Edge/Christian vs. The Hardy Boyz vs. The Dudleys -Triangle laddermatch.
Wouldn't change this.

The Undertaker vs. The Big Show
The Big Show has taken exception to how Taker treated him and started a huge feud with his former tag team partner. Show got the better of him by destroying Taker's motorcycles, but in the end the streak continues at WM for the Deadman.

Chris Jericho vs. Chris Beniot vs. Kurt Angle vs. Eddie Guerrero
I would add Guerrero to the three way and have him bring his Latino Heat to this already awesome match. As we already had a three way with the TLC, moved this to a fatal four way for a difference.

WWF Hardcore Title Battle Royale
Kane def. Rikishi, Big Bossman, the Hollys, Test, Albert, Dlo, Godfather, Al Snow, Blackman, Saturn, Malenko, Bull Buchanon etc.

New Age Outlaws vs. Too Cool
The Outlaws were the ones that tricked Austin into the trap last year. They are the heels and the very over Too Cool take them on and defeat them to get a tag team #1 contender's spot.

I would probably re-book WrestleMania 24. I mean, that was already a decent WrestleMania as it is.

Belfast Brawl
JBL vs Finlay w/ Hornswoggle
The story line was pretty good, as JBL revealed to Mr. McMahon and the world that Hornswoggle was in fact Finlay's son. So they have this Belfast Brawl at WrestleMania, but have JBL win? I was surprised. Anyway, I would have had Finlay win this match.

Money In The Bank Ladder Match
CM Punk vs Shelton Benjamin vs Chris Jericho vs Carlito vs MVP vs Mr. Kennedy vs John Morrison
I'm fine with the result here, but I think Chris Jericho or Kennedy should have won. Now, unless they were already planning and heading for Jericho heel turn, I would have had Kennedy won because he didn't get to get his chance last year due to injury.

Battle For Brand Supremacy
Batista vs Umaga
Same. But, I do think that if it was a legit battle Raw vs Smackdown Vince would have had Raw win. But, its WrestleMania, you try to keep the fans happy and balance out the wins between heels and face.

ECW Championship
Chavo Guerrero vs Kane
Same. Nothing really I hated about this.

Career Threatening Match
Shawn Michaels vs Ric Flair
Same. For obvious reasons. The only thing I would have done different would be that Shawn Michaels would be forced to retire if he had lost. Just to up the stakes for the match.

Playboy Bunny Lumberjill Match
Beth Phoenix and Melina vs Ashley and Maria
The match had Playboy in it, you would think Ashley and Maria (Playboy cover girls) would win against Beth and Melina.

Triple Threat for the WWE Championship
Triple H vs John Cena vs Randy Orton
You could have gone any way with this one. Vince went with Randy Orton, and went from there. But, I would have taken Triple H. His WrestleMania record sucked, still does, up to this point, I think a win here would have been great for Triple H. Up to this WrestleMania Triple H had lost 3 previous WrestleManias.

No DQ
Big Show vs Floyd "Money" Mayweather
Same. For obvious reasons. If you bring a celeb into action for WrestleMania, you have that celeb win, its just good press for WWE.

World Heavyweight Championship
Undertaker vs Edge
Same. The streak continues. But something that I noticed that was downplayed during this feud that up to WrestleMania 24 Edge was also undefeated at WrestleMania at 5-0. Just the interesting stat that was downplayed during the build. And I'm glad that this was the main event, as Taker had been slighted last year when he and Batista got the 4th match of WrestleMania 23.

But, that's how I would have booked WrestleMania 24.

I would have liked to change a few of the Main Events in WM X8, XIX, and XX.

WrestleMania X8

Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock vs. Kevin Nash and Scott Hall
Austin and Rock were representing the WWE and Nash and Hall were representing the Outsiders / NWO. What better way could this have been displayed on the Grandest Stage of them All?? Not the the way it was displayed, I can tell you that much.

Hulk Hogan vs. The Undertaker vs. Ric Flair in the Undertaker WM Streak Triple Threat match
Undertaker vs. Ric Flair, everyone knew Undertaker would win, and almost everyone knew Arn Anderson would have interfered anyway. You add Hulk Hogan and maybe interference by Bruits the Barber Beefcake, and you have yourself a shadow of doubt. The Streak has never been placed in a Triple Threat match, and with Triple Threat rules, Hogan or Flair could have pinned each other for Taker to lose. I’d probably have Kane take out the Barber and the Enforcer for good measure.

These two matches should have taken place instead of what actually took place. Plus, by not having Hogan vs. Rock, it would have saved some of the fans energy for the Main Main Event.

I also would have had Jericho win with a double turn. Something along the lines of Steph turning on Jericho, HHH thus turning Heel, but somehow Jericho still retaining, due to Steph inadvertently hitting HHH with his own sledge hammer.

WrestleMania XIX

Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock vs. Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon
I would have rather merged the two matches that took place and partner up the respective opponents. This could have been a great way to start the feud for the following WM XX Main Events, that I have in mind.

WrestleMania XX

Evolution, Ric Flair, Randy Orton, Batista and Eugene vs. Mick Foley, Terry Funk, Al Snow, and Mikey Whipwreck (or Tommy Dreamer, if Mikey is unavailable).
This would have been more acceptable, even in defeat, than the Rock N Sock Handicap match. I think Orton should have defended the Intercontinental Title against Foley, but oh well.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. The Rock III
Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon
I know these took place at WM XIX, but it would have been a lot better at WM XX. It’s the 20th WrestleMania. It’s in Madison Square Garden, WWE equivalent to TNA’s Impact Zone. It should have displayed the biggest matches that could ever take place. Goldberg and Lesnar didn’t need Austin. Mick Foley should have looked to his ECW Alumni. Vince McMahon and Hulk Hogan weren’t doing anything on screen. So, why not?? Why did they do these two matches one year too early??
