Raw Tonight was 1 GIANT GREAT PROMO NIGHT

RKOx7

Vipère Mortelle
I must say I was completely satisfied with RAW tonight and completely left wanting more.

Undertaker came out and spoke. He's said his thoughts, although I'm slightly disappointed that the 10 year later thing since WrestleMania X8 was not acknowledged, I have no doubt this match will be a great one.

We went straight to a backstage segment with Orton being decimated by Nexus and by the end of the night he accomplished what he needed to, two swift RKO's and one swifter punt. The Nexus is now comprised of... 2 people who were never in the original Nexus to begin with.

Following this was a Diva's title match where Michael Cole interrupted like the assclown he is, to follow up with an excellent segment with Stone Cold, it served justice to hear Michael Cole squeal and cry and bitch and moan. Oh and it was kind of nice to see JBL again... you know... nice to see him get his ass kicked... thumbs up.

Stone Cold made his presence felt and made this Wrestlemania one more star stud shinier.

Vickie and Dolph returned, and we find out that Dolph is a RAW superstar now and Vickie had another begging moment... but she has an opportunity to get a job on RAW since Trish Stratus will fight Vickie next week. Cant wait.

Lastly, Cena's rap was kinda dumb, again... but Miz capitalized with a great promo that not only decimated John Cena, but told the Rock that Miz is still there.

I personally didn't like the matches heading into this Mania but the WWE is building their stories better than they have been in awhile and they're utilizing their legends correctly. I'm intrigued.

How did you guys feel about all of tonight's various spots, segments, and promos and which is your favorite?

So as you can see Raw has been good no! GREAT it has honestly been just great to watch and feel the "real electricity" i used to feel from 2004-2007. Yea theres not enough electricity to go back from 1998-2003 but aleast the storys feel truly personal. We dont need blood, we dont need bra and panties all we need is to feel that personal animosity that we have seen since forever. The last good ending to a Raw was when Jeff Hardy leaped off of the tron thingamajig and swanton bombed on orton. So the question is why cant wwe be like this, why cant they just push it to limits because they have been playing it too safe for awhile and sure we dont need swearing words like ass every week but they should just make stories feel more personal to get my attention going. I liked what Miz did tonight, he proved that he does deserve to be where he is and not that much people get that chance in WWE because theyre not trusted. So hopefully after Mania we can continue to see more the rage they have going on. We dont need attitude era again but we need RAGE and ANGER to come back to WWE.

I was happy to see JBL return but now that stone cold is the guest ref where does that leave JBL???

First off, The Miz's promo not only was close to excellent, he capitalized on what was already a losing situation. Cena's rap was starting to bore people. In fact, it was already boring. Even i was tempted to change the channel. But seeing Miz come out interested me. Great job, Miz.

Second, The whole New Nexus thing is starting to settle down. They have gotten rid of the dead weight (Junior Perfect, Husky, etc.) I hope that when Randy and Mason face, Mason wins so at least he will be at Wrestlemania. Nothing else to really say about this. Hope they put on a good match.

Ah, what else.......o yea: STONE COLD! STONE COLD!

Thats pretty much it.

the fact that stone cold is the ref for cole vs king made that match look a little bit better...i was hoping CM Punk would cut a good promo but sadly he didnt cut one.....the fact that orton got the shit beat out of him backstage then otunga hits his finisher and all of sudden orton hits the RKO and the match is over? :wtf: orton is basically cena 2.0 now with the whole not selling and coming back to win out of nowhere.....every promo tonight was really good except for cena's which was boring & lame i heard no "final knockout" from cena tonight although i wasnt expecting one lol punk vs orton is looking really good i cant wait to see that match hopefully punk pulls out the victory over orton 2 bad nexus has died :disappointed:

Best Raw in a long time. Austin's segment was great, anyone else notice the dumbass with the sign that read "AUTSIN"? I really hope that person was like 11 or younger. Anyway I've been hard on the Miz, he cut a decent promo, he just showed us all that he wishes he was the Rock, but it was still pretty good. Do I think he should be WWE champ, my answer is still hell no but he was pretty good tonight, he cut to the chase, so if WWE only has him in the last 5-10 minutes every week I might grow to tolerate him

Really? I thought the Miz's promo fucking sucked. Was it good because he said "ass"? He's trying to force himself into the Rock/Cena feud but lets face it no one still wants him there. It's Icon vs Icon, he just happens to have the strap so he's thrown in with that. I think WWE realized that he wasn't really looking too good in this so they gave him this promo and chance to lay out Cena tonight again. I really didn't think the promo was all that great but I KNEW the IWC would hop all over it saying it was brilliant mostly because he swore and The Rock was a big part of his promo. Give me a break. If Barrett or Ziggler or CM Punk were in this situation all 3 would be doing a much better job. Some of the blame has to go to the WWE but Miz isn't as great as people (especially in the IWC) make him seem.

I'm beginning to think more and more that Miz will win at Mania (which will blow ass... because he fucking sucks) and go on to feud with most likely Morrison and Cena will go on to feud with The Rock. I know, I know. The Rock more than likely won't wrestle again. But they are really teasing it hard. This sucks but whatever. One day the strap will finally be off Miz and he can go to the back of the line. I'm sorry, but get off his dick. He's not that good and neither was that promo.

It was a great sho for sure. Even though many will say Cena's promo was lame it did what it needed to do by not letting the ROCK be able to do a recorded promo or not show up... I really belive this will get the ROCK in the ring again soon, maybe that is just the Superstars doing a good job but i dont know.

I confess myself quite satisfied with the show as a whole. My particular favorite bit was Stone Cold coming out and seeing to it that Michael Cole would not have his own way all the time. Cole has been without physical retribution (or retribution of any kind) for too long and I thought what Stone Cold did to him was thoroughly satisfying. JBL's presence was also enjoyable and he's a hatable enough guy to take a stunner for Cole without anybody being too upset about it.

I also like that we have an official contender for the U.S. Championship. And it is Sheamus, which means maybe someone will care about the fight for the title. Furthermore, Sheamus is right where (in my opinion) he belongs: in the mid-card. He was elevated far too fast and way too far in my opinion, so it's good to see him in a place where he fits a little better.

Also, the Nexus/Orton feud I've been enjoying throughout, particularly Orton taking them out one by one despite their efforts to take him out as a group. This Raw was a great example of this concept in action.

Lastly, while Kaneanite's comments on the Miz were a bit rudely couched, I have to agree on some level. I don't think the Miz has ever shown himself to be that credible a threat to either Cena or The Rock. He just doesn't have that level of charisma and physical dominance. Sorry, but Miz is a sniveling little rat compared to these guys.

A couple things 1st: 1)Taker vs Helmsley was at WM X7 not X8 and 2) Orton is not Cena 2.0 he more like Hogan 2.0

Raw last night was great as they was set-up stories for Mania. I knew when Cole was saying he found he ref, I knew it would be JBL not Stone Cold plus the beer shower on Cole made it more great. I agree that the Miz is getting lost between this Cena-Crocky (I mean The Rock) feud. Kaneanite The Miz is great at what he does I've watched The Miz since his debut and he's improved alot since then. And Ziggler, Barrett, or Punk would be right where the Miz is stuck in the middle. I was glad that Tammy Lynn "Sunny" Sytch was the nxt inductee to the HOF. The Thing that sucked was Randy Orton getting his ass beating backstage then after one RKO to Otunga he wins that so Hoganesque plus the punted of Otunga was uncalled for and Randy shoulda bein DQ'd and the ref shoulda reversed the decision. As far as Cena's promo on the Rock he told the Truth about Dwayne. The Rock is supposed to be the so-called "People's Champ" but he can't be there w/ the people. Cena's the new People's Champ and the Original was DDP not the Rock. I think The Corre shoulda been there as they're the TAg Champs and can be anywhere they want to while as Champs.

Really? (No pun intended) How many times have we seen Rey Mysterio beat guys like JBL, Kurt Angle etc.. how can you say that physical dominance affects where the guy stands in the WWE title picture? The Miz has worked hard to get where he is, don't get me wrong I am no Miz mark, but I think he does deserve to be there.

I'm not a huge Miz fan but to give him even more credit for his promo, he was actually interrupted after attacking Cena because a fan jumped the rail and ran into the ring to save Cena and there was a little cat and mouse there before he wwas caught. Thats when they zoomed in on his face and the Miz kept character and only glanced at the guy. Cena got a lot of heat in the arena at first he got a great pop but then people just started booing and a guy in front of me started a "rocky" chant! Right after the show Michael Cole came out in a referee shirt and Miz and Punk faced off against a hurt Cena and Orton.

Miz is what made Raw interesting.

I was curious of what Austin would do for the night, and after seeing the BS he put on I was hoping there would be something else he would do towards then end. Maybe make a speech or something.

-Undertaker's speech, yeah pretty cool, hyped the match.
-Orton really did well that night. I was loving every second of that segment and the match and what happened afterwards. Very good from Randy.
-Brotis Clay got a debut for god knows what reason. Del Rio did his usual shit, arm breaker.
-Diva's match, nothing good. Cole was interesting, yet annoying.
-SURPRISED AT JBL ANYONE!? I hate the balls off that guy but it was oh so great to see him again. It really was. Classic entrance and JBL-ish mannerisms, good segment.
-Austin hits, was obvious what was going to happen next. Snoozefest..
-I liked the whole Sheamus thing. I never care for mid-card action but this has me curious about what's to come from these two.
-Punk vs Truth. No damn way was Truth going to win. Snoozefest..
-Was great to see a Morrison/Ziggy match :)
-Cena cut a fucking terrible promo. Crowd was actually asleep.

MIZ HITS. Fucks shit up. Cuts a great segment and really puts himself in Rock's face, AND showing Cena that he's to be taken seriously!
Miz, Orton and JBL. Only highlights for me of the night.
