Randy Orton heel turn & Dolph Ziggler face turn?

When a fan asked him recently on twitter if he would come back a heel.. he replied "we can only pray"

Seems to me Orton rather play a heel than face.. I kind of agree, Orton has heel written all over him while a guy like Ziggler IMO LOOKS the part of more of a face.. again JMO..

What do you guys think?

I honestly did not like Orton being somewhat of a face. IMO he needs to go back to kicking people's heads off and "injuring" them. It fits him better to be full-pledged heel and have the crowd booing him then have the crowd cheering him, and Orton sucking up to the crowd.

Yeah he makes a perfect heel tattoos, Drugs, Roids this make for a perfect prisoner...oops I mean Heel. Plus the most Important thing he gets to be himself. He gets to be the true Orton hating fans because he thinks he is special. Hating on any wreslter who gets a bigger push than him. Basiclly the true version of a Douche bag.

As for Dolph Ziggler I would liek to see him face for one reason and one reason alone. I don't want to see Flair come back and do the same crap with Zig as he did with AJ styles, I should have place the period after "see flair come back".

Dolph reminds me of BA Billy Gunn, Shawn Micheals, and Mr. Perfect all where great as heels because of their looks, I think being a face for Dolph will be to hard, but would add legitimacy to him as a wrestler if her could get over as a face. I would hate to see him change his theme song to be more fan friendly.

i personally think that ziggles push may have taken a setback due to orton having been suspended. there was talk that a ziggle orton fued was being set up but now it just seems that ziggle is gonna have to wait

a fued between the two may suffer from orton being set down to the top midcard but probably not

I don't think they'd change Ziggler's theme if he turned. They didn't change Edge's theme when he turned face and Jericho only dropped the countdown when he turned Heel. Ziggler as a face would be interesting, but I feel like he could get over. He's got the charisma to do it, he just needs something that gets him over should they turn him. At any rate, Ziggler vs Orton would be an interesting feud, but honestly, Orton as face is too boring on the mic to match Ziggler. Orton's monotonous voice worked as a heel, not as a face.

I don't see Ziggler as a face at all. Other than the fact that he's very athletic there is really noting likable about him. He's much better as a heel imo. As for Orton, I've always liked him better as a heel aswell, but baby faces seem to be in short supply at his level. Still, I wouldn't mind him making the turn.

Whether Orton comes back as a heel or a face won't be a major factor, in my view, because the guy's going to be massively over no matter what. Personally, I'd rather see him as a heel. Everything about Orton's character, from his mannerisms to his character's personality and to what we even know about the guy in real life all practically scream heel character. He's much better as a heel but he'll get over no matter what. When a guy can cause 10,000 people to pop just by turning his head and glaring as if he'd done a moonsault off the top of a cage in a HIAC match, the rest is academic.

As for Dolph Ziggler, I think WWE should keep him as a heel for the time being. If WWE is able to secure a deal with Ric Flair and they go through with the idea of Flair being Ziggler's manager, which is said to be a popular idea among WWE officials, then Ziggler most definitely needs to be kept heel. I think we've gotten some glimpses of what Ziggler brings as a character but WWE really hasn't pulled the trigger on him yet. Like most other people right now, I want to see what Ziggler has without Vickie. He's improved a LOT in his promos and he's actually developed an on-screen character that it's easy for fans to rally against, but he's long since gone as far as he can with Vickie. I think that Ziggler could really step up his game with someone like Flair managing him.

Last year orton and cena was top faces.
since then wwe lost top heel punk as he changed to face.
and then sheamus the top 4 faces now are
cena
punk
orton
sheamus
top heels 4 are
alberto
big show
tensai
cody
heels like a big wrestler
so since orton is no longer needed being face so now is perfect for orton heel turn.

I believe Bryan would be a higher ranking heel than Cody, that isn't a knock on Cody as I like him but that is just the fact.
Need proof of that Bryan is in the WWE title hunt Cody's not. Also Tensai is kind of out as a top heel at the moment I think Kane might actually be higher ranked than him. That is if you are only taking in ring performers.
If not then Big Johnny is 100% a top heel. Orton could come back heel but there would be no issue if he came back as a face

Orton always wanted to stay heel...

Problem with Orton turning heel, he is still the most over babyface on smackdown. Even when he shook Sheamus (who is very popular) hand and then RKO'ed him he still got cheered for it.

I would love to see him turn heel but he has to do something over the top though. And he has to do it with a big name like a CM punk or a legend like Undertaker, HHH etc.

I dont know if you can turn Orton heel against somebody like Ziggler.

top heels 4 are
alberto
big show
tensai
cody

First off let's see randy stay clean before their is any waste in time and money on him.

Now let's look at your List.

Tensai...is complete and udder garbage with a capital G. What makes him a top heel the fact is he is attacking John Cena.

How about
Johnny Ace, Ziggler, Kane, Swagger, Miz and Bryan. These four are way better than Tensai. The WWE just wasted money to bring A-train back as some sort of Asian monster they tried his with others and it failed. Sorry to let you know but for the most part Asian style gimmicks don't sell well since Steamboat. Other than maybe Yokosuna.

But to your point heel really is the only role for Orton now. With the web most people know now he is a juice freak and this give him the perfect out to be himself.

I along with everybody with sense have been saying for months that Randy Orton needs to turn heel. When Orton is heel he is being himself, because quite frankly Randy Orton is an asshole. As a face he is over massively with children and women but I'm pretty sure he doesn't really give a crap.

When Orton returns, after his burial that he deserves for being a drug riddled idiot he needs to turn heel, if he's in a group with Big Johnny so be it if he's on his on even better. But there are others who can fill Ortons void, the wwe just need to put trust in Cody Rhodes or Dolph Ziggler and they could bring more success than Orton.

Geez the last two posters are idiots. Now with that said Yes I agree Orton needs to go heel but it was this same role that turned the crowd from booing him to cheering him. So with that said he should be a tweener as he was after punting mcmahon. He should be a lone wolf that doesnt give a fuck and RKO and Punt everyone

Did you really out TENSAI in the list of top heels???

Daniel Bryan, Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler, Kane, hell even THE MIZ is bigger than Tensai.

On his return, turn Orton heel. He wants it, the fans want it and WWE needs it.

If they guy fucks up again they can fire him and they wont have invested as much as they would trying to make him a top face. They pay his guy shit loads, make him that bad ass heel he was a few years ago. Thats where the guy makes money and seems interesting.

No.

I don't want to see the return of Resthold Orton, the man that can't win a match without ten minutes of interference and is such a pussy he taps out with two seconds to go in a match.

I want to see the continuation of Beardy Orton, the man that had great matches every week and will gladly RKO the babyface world champion - and receive a pop for it - when it works in his favour.

Dude, learn proper grammar. My brain hurts trying to read your post. Randy does not need to turn heel! End of story.

A heel turn seems inevitable for Orton, doesn't it? I suppose that's the essence of a 'tweener, anyhow; they're liable to turn bad at any moment. As it is, Randy is the ultimate loner, the guy who walks by himself through WWE and never seems to have a true ally. When we saw him force-teamed with John Cena, did you get the impression they were truly partners in the ring? I didn't.

Now, his real life problems make a heel turn even more imminent. Enough people follow this stuff on the Internet to be aware of his second violation of the Wellness program. He's let down his fellow employees and his employer. We've read how difficult he is to deal with. He seems like a bad guy in real life, so it will be easier to accept him as one in the ring.

When he comes back.....do it.

Best suggestion for Orton as a heel would be the heel before the legacy. From 2007- mid 2008, Orton was arguably the best heel the company had and he did it by himself taking out legends like HBK, RVD, Dusty Rhodes and more to make a name for himself. Orton should put himself back on the map in a similar way perhaps by taking out one of the top faces upon a return. A renewed Cena/Orton rivalry would certainly interest me. Things weren't over between HBK and Bret after the WM 12 Iron Man Match so why should this rivalry be over after their iron man match at bragging rights back in 09?

Orton is a natural heel. He wrestles like one, he talks like one, he acts like one.

I have no patience for his face push.

Yea we all know he's a better heel then a face and If I had it my way he would be a heel for the rest of his career.

The only reason I'm 99% positive he won't turn heel when he returns is that it's so hard to get a crowd behind a superstar nowadays and even if you think all he is is a RKO,Fist pounding tool he still connects 100% with the crowd. Unlike Cena he's cheered by all the WWE universe(like Punk) and at a time where WWE is lacking Full Time ME Faces I just don't see the need to turn him heel. WWE is content to wait until he no longer get's those strong reactions from the crowd

To be honest when I think of an Orton/Ziggler feud I see Orton as the face and Ziggler as the heel. If Vickie Guerrero was managing Ziggler during such a feud I would imagine Randy Orton punting her in the head at some point, much to the delight of the fans. However, in WWE's current climate that seems an unlikely angle.

If the rumours of Ric Flair being Ziggler's new manager are indeed true then we could see an feud between Orton and Ziggler involving Flair's history with Orton. Either way, I these guys could put on some incredible, show-stealing matches, and I think a feud with Orton could really help Ziggler.

As for whether Orton is better as a face or heel I think that's actually a pretty tough question to answer. When he first turned face and was the psychotic viper gimmick he was extremely over and extremely entertaining. Then his face character got watered down and he became less batshit crazy and more of a standard babyface. If he came back as a psycho again he'd be a great face with an interesting character, I'd be all for it.

His best heel run was when he was the Legend Killer in his younger days. After that gimmick ended Orton's heel character was fucking boring, so if he turns heel and becomes that shit again it's going to suck. It's also going to be hard to come back as a psychotic heel because people will most likely pop for it because it's awesome, and a heel getting cheered isn't really ideal. The best bet for a returning heel Orton might be something new, the next evolution of his character (SEE WUT I DID THAR).

What it comes down to is that it's harder to get people to love you then it is to hate you, and Orton has managed to get people to love him. I'm not sure if it's worth throwing that away, especially because the WWE lacks upper midcard and midcard-level babyfaces.
