I DID cry when I found out Glenn Quinn had passed away. Stupid, stupid, talented man with his coke.
Funny story, ChiHawks, but Doyle wasn't even supposed to exist. That job was supposed to go to "The Whistler" from seasons one and two of BtVS. He backed out, and Joss hired Glenn, whom he knew from "Roseanne". The rest is history. And, yes, Joss worked on Roseanne. Toy Story as well.
It was at first, but Wesley quickly won me over. I initially really disliked him when he was Faith's watcher, but by Season 2 of Angel I love him already, he's so funny and quirky and fuck, he's evolved into one of my favorites already.
I liked Doyle too though. I've read mixed things about his departure, read that Joss had always planned for him to die quickly to set the tone that anyone can die at any point. But I also read Glenn Quinn got fired for his drug use. Was really bummed when I found out he ODed in 2002.
Oh yeah. I was bummed she turned on them at the end though, I thought maybe after the Spike breakup she might become a good character, but apparently not.

I'll probably finally get around to reviewing seasons 3 and 4 of Buffy sometime this week. Once I get there, I'll have to destroy BTVS for Seasons 5, 6, and 7 though man, ESPECIALLY season 6, which I fucking loathed all throughout with the exception of just 2 episodes.
Angel though I loved from start to finish and will have nothing but glowing things to say about it, barring an episode here and there.

Buffy in seasons 1 and 2 is my favorite. She was fucking banging back then. Unfortunately though as the show progressed, she somehow just became skinnier and skinnier.
Cordy would be 2nd, Lilah Morgan 3rd, that werewolf chick from season 5 of Angel 4th, and Fred 5th.

I gotta agree with Dewdrop. Seasons 5 and 7 you've got to destroy? They are epic for Spike!
I can agree with your ratings so far. Season 1 was pretty hit or miss only because they were just starting out. Season 2 rocked.
I'm watching the episode "Intervention" now, where the Buffybot is introduced.

As for favorite lady Dewster...hmmm...probably Cordelia. I don't know why but I loved her and Xander together, and was pissed she never gave him another shot after the whole Willow thing when Oz pretty much forgave Willow immediately. But then again then we wouldn't have the awesome Xander+Anya relationship. Anya fucking rules.
Also, am I the only one who doesn't really like Tara? She's okay I guess, but I don't like how Willow was just like "Okay I'm gay now!" after one bad relationship.

Spike was the only redeeming quality about the seasons, no doubt. But while he was great, his character was heavily misused.
That's one example, but I'll go more in depth my thread.
For now I'll just say for Season 5, I hated the Dawn thing and the finale, but overall it wasn't that bad. Season 6 was trash from start to finish outside of 2 episodes like I said earlier. And Season 7 was ruined because of those fucking stupid ass potentials (not a spoiler for X... he won't know what that means). If it weren't for them, and the HORRIBLE finale, then I think I would have enjoyed season 7 much more, since I loved what they were doing with the Buffy character during that season, and I also liked how Spike was handled for the most part.
Take the rape scene with Buffy for instance... that was so fucking ******ed and completely unnecessary.
