PWF Answers Wrestling Questions

Judging by his list I doubt he was watching when Hogan was at the height of his popularity.

I'm sure his top 5 were his top 5 favorites. Why would he put someone on there that he likely didn't ever watch wrestle and it's pretty obvious by his stance in here that he doesn't care for Hogan so again why would he put him in his top 5?

If I had to pick a top 5 Hogan sure as hell wouldn't be in mine.
Was Hogan a draw? Yes. There's no denying that. But with that logic John Cena should be in everyone's current top 5.

You do realize wrestling is all about your ability to draw, right?

That doesn't mean the people who draw have to be your favorites.
If you read my post I said he likely listed his favorites.
Daniel Bryan doesn't draw as much as John Cena but I still like him more.
Shawn Michaels didn't draw anywhere near Hogan but I like him more.

Okay kiddo, I've got a few for you. I want you to answer the following questions from the Debater's League. Please explain your answers coherently and rationally.

1. Do dirt sheets and insider websites (such as Wrestlezone) enhance or ruin professional wrestling?

2. As an on-screen character, will Triple H ever become a better figurehead than Vince McMahon once was?

3. Is Vince McMahon a creative genius or an idea thief?

4. Are championship belts what defines greatness in wrestling?

Whatever happened to the hand that Mae Young gave birth to? Where does it live in Florida? How many bad tattoos or illegitimate children does it have? What kinds of drugs does it have to peddle it's ass for?

Fine, as long as you'r outright admitting this is a fan's list. The guy asked for a top five of all time, at least be a little objective

As long as you aren't biased and are able to recognize when your favorites are outclassed.

Kane is my favorite wrestler of all time; I'd rather watch one of his matches than anyone else. That being said I can't use the logic that because Kane is my favorite he is the greatest of all time... such a claim would be complete idiocy and completely biased.

I don't disagree with that.

So I'm going to ask the op this.
When forming a top 5 of all time (not your favorite but an actual who is the all time best) what criteria should be used?

Outline in latin how Big E. Langston is like Georeous George and Hulk Hogan if they were to have a child together.

Drawing power, overall influence, and work rate is what I use. I too would like to know what PWF uses.

I clicked on this thread prepared to hate it. But it's nice to know that other people think ProWrestlingFan is a moron.

Question time now. It's a simple one. Although I have a feeling that you'll get it wrong anyway. How good of an in-ring performer is John Cena?

He's gonna get it wrong.

This is why most smarks can't enjoy the product. Why does everybody has to like Hulk Hogan? Just because he drew casual fans? You like what you want to like as a fan simple as that.

Blue cage, black cage or regular steel cage?

Regular steel cage.

1. Both.

2. Don't know.

3. Both.

4. No. But they should. They are called "championships" for a reason.

I don't disagree with that.

Their wrestling ability as the name of the sport is "wrestling" and cut promos. I would replace Brock Lesnar with Bret Hart on my top 5 list. One of the greatest in-ring technicians and he was a "draw" too.

I think he is an average in-ring performer as I have seen his matches when he was "The Prototype" and was the tag-team partner of Rico Constantino in OVW. Its WWE that limits his moveset.

You think the size of a moveset is what makes someone a good wrestler? Next you'll be telling me that Seth Rollins is a decent worker.

You do realize the guy that draws the biggest audience is the one that entertains the most people, as well, right? Hogan wasn't great just because he's the biggest draw in wrestling, but because he sent the most fans home happy, and made them keep coming back for more.

That's what a wrestler is supposed to do. And no one did it to more people than Hulk Hogan. Which means, in fact, he's one of the greatest of all time.

Anyway, if you could put the WWE title on anyone, who would it be?

Please explain how professional wrestling evolved into different products in the USA, UK, Japan, and Mexico due to respective geographies and cultures.

Yes, but in his perspective Hogan sucked, what's the problem with having an opinion? I didn't forget Hogan vs. Warrior at Halloween Havoc. He did it for most of the people, but he didn't for him and that's okay. Hogan set the bar for generic faces some years later, so have it, a legend that nobody is forced to recognize or value.

1. Now onto the thread, have you watched Cibernetico Rises from CHIKARA?
If so, do you think that Donst deserves the spotlight?

2. In your opinion, do you really think that Antonio Cesaro is good as an Anti-USA guy or is he to forced?

Because he's wrong, for one. But I get it, he thinks Hogan is a bad wrestler. Of course, you just happen to pick the worst match Hogan had, but fine. But at least recognize that without him, wrestling as you know it doesn't exist.

Oh, and if you really think Hogan set up the generation of generic faces, boy do I have a team of uninspired writing team members to show you. All of which Hogan didn't use

Actually I do like Hogan. But Haiku, is it really a compulsion that you have to put Hogan in your Top 5 if you are a wrestling fan?
