The way they were booking Low Ki before this I thought for sure he was going to win. But, I'm really happy to see that he won. I'm also really looking forward to Ibushi vs KUSHIDA.
 
New Japan has announced that they will be doing an iPPV for the 8/5 G1 Climax Show. This is pretty big news since I'm pretty sure New Japan hasn't done one before and if they have it's been a really long time since they've done one. It costs $25 though and starts at 4 a.m. Eastern U.S time, so I probably won't be watching it. But, here's the card for those of you who are interested.

Afterwards Marufuji expressed that he wants a match for the IWGP Championship regardless of what happens during the G1 Climax.
 
Well it looks like TAKA and Taichi are no longer getting along. After some recent loses by the team Taichi seems to think that TAKA is the reason they're losing and TAKA thinks Taichi is the weakest link of their tag team. This all took place last week as these two began fighting on Twitter (yes even New Japan uses Twitter). So their stable leader Minoru Suzuki came up with a great idea. Taichi will face TAKA one on one in K-DOJO and the loser will be expelled from Suzuki-gun.

Also, New Japan has started a partnership with the California based SWF (Sacramento Wrestling Federation). New Japan will be sending over Shinsuke Nakamura, Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov in late August. The partnership begins August 25 with a New Japan wrestling tryout. Then on August 26 the New Japan stars that I've listed will compete in SWF's very first event. My early thoughts on this is that New Japan will probably be doing a USA West Coast tour much like they did last year for the East Coast.

I never thought that Benjamin would do so well in Japan. Good for him!

I am 100% perfectly fine with how this tournament went. I am perfectly fine with Okada winning it all since I'm a pretty big fan of his if you can't tell by my sig. I am also fine with Anderson pulling off the huge upset on Tanahashi and being in the finals. It's cool seeing Anderson get such a huge push as of late and I honestly think the best thing that ever happened to him was Bernard going to the WWE.
 
Pretty big Puro update from NJPW. First off Kazuchika Okada has announced that he does not want to challenge right away at a mid-level show in Kobe. Instead he has announced that he will wait and challenge whoever the IWGP champ is at Wrestle King VII at the Tokyo Dome on 1/4/13. Because of this on 9/23 Hiroshi Tanahashi will defend the IWGP Heavyweight title against Naomichi Marufuji since Marufuji was able to defeated Tanahashi at the G1 Climax. Also, it was announced that Kota Ibushi will defend the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight title against KUSHIDA on 9/7. Also, the following foreigners have been announced for the next upcoming tour Low Ki, the IWGP Jr. Tag Champs Alex Koslov & Rocky Romero, Mascara Dorada, Averno, former TNA star Alex Shelley & former WWE wrestler Harry Smith.
