Puro fans, UNITE!

Nah, I've seen it. Only thing I don't get there is having Anderson join the group. I was really happy with his current singles run and wasn't thrilled to see him be one of Devitt's lackeys. I'm happy for Devitt though and think this means a heavyweight run is in store for him. Hope he succeeds, but not sure how the fans will react since he's currently a junior or former junior if he moves up.

I like how their continuing with his aspirations to be Heavyweight Champion. I know in Japan a Jr. Heavyweight taking on a Heavyweight is out of the norm but their singles match was really good and they have a certain amount of chemistry. I'd prefer if Devitt dropped the Jr. Heavyweight title though, don't know if that's the plan with Taguchi or possibly Alex Shelley who their investing quite a bit in, but before he challenges for the Heavyweight title I'd like to see him drop it.

Any thoughts on Shelton Benjamin in NJPW?

I'm hoping Devitt drops the belt after BOSJ so he can go on and be a heavyweight. I'm neutral on Shelton. I don't hate him, but I don't love him. He's just kinda there for me.

I think he makes a solid midcard guy for them. It's nice to see him going it alone, after years of being beside Charlie Haas now he can stand-out on his own a little. His ROH run ended pretty abruptly but at least he got a nice little send-off match. What did you think of the Okada/Tanahashi's feud going into Invasion Attack?

I really liked it. I'm a huge fan of Okada after being one of hid biggest critics when he won his first belt. I thought that entire feud between those two was played out perfectly. I also liked the Suzuki Gun vs CHAOS feud as well.

In all honesty Kotre I'm way behind in my puro watching and have only been watching the main events and stuff involving Devitt for the past 5-6 months. But, I plan on going back through and watching the rest of the matches I've missed. So I'll tell you what I think then. I've heard nothing but good things about his and Archer tag title run though.

BOSJ Day 1 happened today. I'll post the results later when I get a chance to. Also, it was announced that Zack Sabre Jr. will be competing in every NOAH show for the month of June.

Day 1 of BOSJ results:
1. Block A: Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Hiromu Takahashi
2. Block B: TAKA Michinoku defeated Tiger Mask IV
3. Block B: Jado defeated Kenny Omega
4. Block A: Taichi defeated Rocky Romero
5. Block A: Ricochet defeated Barreta
6. Block B: Alex Koslov defeated Ryusuke Taguchi
7. Block B: BUSHI defeated KUSHIDA
8. Block A: Prince Devitt defeated Alex Shelley

Mainly surprised that Jado beat Omega and that BUSHI beat KUSHIDA. Looking forward to most of these matches though.

I forgot to mention this earlier, but during BOSJ day 1 NWA President Bruce Thorpe and NWA World Champion Rob Conway announced that they are returning to Japan.

Quite a bit of news has happened over in Japan the past couple of days. First off SUWA and Genba announced that they will be vacating the GHC Jr. Tag titles due to SUWA suffering from a servical spindle injury which has caused numbness in his finger tips. The winners of the G+ Cup Junior Heavyweight Tag League will be declared the new champs. Second, NOAH has announced the card for the upcoming Misawa Memorial Show.

(2) Super Crazy & Daiske Harada vs. Zack Sabre Jr. & Pesadilla
(3) Maybach Taniguchi vs. Jake Dirden
(4) Taiji Ishimori & Atsushi Kotoge vs. Genba Hirayanagi & Maybach SUWA Jr.
(5) Kensuke Sasaki & Yoshinari Ogawa vs. Akitoshi Saito & Masao Inoue

(7) KENTA vs Mohammed Gone
(8) Naomichi Marufuji vs Takashi Sugiura

Next up, All Japan announced that Manabu Soya had successfully undergone surgery on his left eye. He will be rehabilitating his left eye and is then expected to undergo surgery on his shoulder as well.
Finally, a rumor has been going around Japan and has been reported by Tokyo Sports that BJW's Abdullah Kobayashi has contracted Hepatitis C. This is believed to be the reason Abdullah was pulled from all of the upcoming shows he was expected to appear on. It is unknown when Abdullah had contracted Hepatitis, but it is believed he has had Hepatitis for a while now. This is incredibly dangerous due to Abdullah mainly wrestling death matches in which Abdullah is usually busted open. The rumor also states that all members of the BJW roster and any wrestler who's been in contact with Abdullah will undergo a thorough examination. This is very sad news for BJW and I hope the rumor is false.

The BOSJ semi finals have been decided. The winner of Block A Prince Devitt will face Kenny Omega who finished 2nd in block B. The winner of Block B Ryusuke Taguchi will face Block A runner up Alex Shelley.

I think Ayumi is planning on retiring in August. Not sure on the exact date, but that's what I remember hearing. Akira Taue is also officially retiring in December. Masanobu Fuchi said he might retire do to all the drama going on in AJPW. Also, I've read some reports that Jushin Liger was considering retirement. But, he talked to Genichiro Tenryu and Tenryu told him if he still has some desire to wrestle and thinks that he still van then he should continue. He also said that if Liger retires he should stay retired and not be a wrestler who retires and then comes back 2-3 years later. Liger took Tenth advice and said he's going to stay for a while.

Also tell me if that Nakamura vs Sombra match is any good.

Devitt is going after the Heavyweight title, its confirmed now. When he lists off his accomplishments it really shows how good he is, it's nice Sheamus is Irish, Devitt makes me proud to be Irish. Dude is legit.

So on July 5 the G1 climax participants will be announced. Also, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Jushin Liger will challenge Tama Tonga and Terrible for the CMLL titles. The main event is Prince Devitt vs Gedo for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship. The winner there will face OK Ada for the IWGP Championship on July 20. Also, the July 5 show will be on iPPV. On July 20 Forever Hooligans will defend their Jr. Tag belts against TAKA Michinoku and Taichi. TenCozy will defend the IWGP tag belts against Toru Yano and Takashi Iizuka. Masato Tanaka defends his NEVER Championship against Tetsuya Naito. Finally winner of Devitt vs Gedo faces OK Ada for the IWGP Championship

I think it was pretty cool the way they pushed Devitt with his victory in the Super Jr. 2013, and right after a big victory against Tanahashi. I mean everything about that booking pleases me - in one hand they are building Devitt a little bit and give him an opportunity in the heavyweight division, and in other hand they are making Okada even bigger as a star - because that's the idea that I have: Tanahashi couldn't do it, and he's their number one guy so what are the odds Okada can pull it off? And then Okada will most certainly pull it off and they just made him look strong, in the same way they made Devitt look like a great heel in both divisions.

This is just making him relevant until Taguchi returns..

As of today it is official that 9 wrestlers have left All Japan. These wrestlers are now freelance, but its heavily speculated that they will be joining Mutoh. They are Masakatsu Funaki, Masayuki Kono, Yasufumi Nakanoueno, KAI, Ryota Hama, Shuji Kondo, Minoru Tanaka, Kaz Hayashi and Hiroshi Yamato.

So Taishi Takizawa who was known as Jiro in NXT was arrested on June 20 for taking up skirt pictures of woman. As a result of his actions he was stripped of his K-Dojo Champion of Strongest K title.
