Punk Heel Turn?

Anyone else think this is going to happen soon? I think the whole Straight Edge thing make's as a better heel gimmick anyway. He's also better at it. I find him smug like Orton and think it's a more natural fit. Also with the Original's vs. New Breed feud happening it would make sence. Unless they had the original's let him be on there side, because he's a good wrestler. And have them say that Punk is similar to what was in the oringinal ECW.

I could see him turn heel then he could have some good matches with the Originals, only problem there though is i was wanting to see some more of him vs Burke in the ring. maybe he'll stay neutral & they could have the New Breeds trying to persude him to join & if not they attack him then the Originals would come out to help & he refuses their help saying he doesn't need anyones help that way he'd kinda be heel but wrestle people on both sides.

To be honest, I don't think you can really make CM Punk a heel in WWE. He'd be someone like Triple H who gets cheered massively even if he is a heel. I don't think that really suits CM Punk. So I'm quite sure that CM Punk will stay a face for a long time.

I think Punk would benefit from a good heel turn as you said u find him smug like Orton well i do as well. I think with the orignials vs New Breed feud he be a perfect fit to go heel and possibly lead to a match with RVD at WM23...

I completely agree. CM Punk has been embraced by the audience, and trying to turn him heel would be tough, especially with the what I see as a poor creative team at the helm. Even if they try the heel turn, I think the crowd will fight it and make the entire thing blow up in Vince's face. Punk is one of few talented wrestlers in ECW, and without a better roster than what they have now, it would hurt the product to turn Punk at this point.

If you saw punk in roh you'd realise he is much better heel. But in the first few months of his wwe career id keep him face for now. He would be a better heel on s.down or raw not ecw.

I dont see Punk turning heel anytime soon. He is one of the most over with the crowd and beats everyone. If he is a heel, it would make him a little more interesting, but i dont think it will happen.

ecw can't have punk turn heel, That would leave too few faces.They have sandman,sabu,rvd,dreamer, and balls mahoney. No one in that bunch besides RVD will ever win the title, and rvd, well...that speaks for itself.

IMO, I do not believe that the crowd reaction would matter. Think back to WCW Bash at the Beach. Hogan turning heel? Hogan is considered one of the top babyfaces (although his in ring work is mediocre), and the WCW fans hated him when he was in the nWo. Punk becoming would be the best for his career in ECW.

That being said, I do not believe that Punk will turn heel anytime soon, until he learns how to act backstage. He always disagrees with Arn Anderson and Fit Finlay, and until he can learn to take orders, the company will not do anything that will help him (beating Mike Knox doesn't hurt him, it doesn't help him either).

He is pretty over as a face, but I could see him being portrayed arrogant, therefore being over as a heel. Its going to be the same eitherway really, A little bit of heat and a little bit of a pop.

Shannon Moore lol just the name makes me laugh for a womans name!! He was good in WCW as 3 Count with Gregory Helms and Evan Kariagis and somehow lost in the shuffle they fired him in WWE wentto TNA and was getting noticed quickly and then undecided and confused jumped back to WWE and guess what he has been a ZERO since hasn't been used lately and is not going anywhere perhaps he is hitting his head hard on the concrete wall for not staying in TNA oh well people learn with mistakes but he doesn't!!
I see him going against Gregory Helms but he is more of an IC material yet again Shan Helms is his name not Gregory is awful noone can wrestle him cause he has no challengers perhaps Daivari or Rey Mysterio can take it off him once and for all!!

I would like to see more of Punk's character developed before a heel turn is thrust upon us. It needs to be developed and right now, that isn't happening. He is not pleasing the WWE to say the least, so I think as of now, he won't be receiving a push of any kind, like a heel turn, anytime soon.

It will be interesting to see a heel character of this sort, but I have heard he can do both with this character, which is a good sign for him because most wrestlers are either only good faces or only good heels, and if he can do both, it is great for him. Again, develop his character more and then I think they can alter it but I don't think it would happen soon anyway. It would be interesting to see how he portrays himself as a heel though.

I must agree here. I really can't see Punk as a heel, and with the talk a little while back of dissolving ECW into the other brands, that makes option 2 a real possible way of doin it.

I think the best way to work it would be to have them invade, and recruit, and become a huge faction, led by punk and Burke. Eventually, have punk and burke have a sort of power struggle/falling out type of thing, where they begin to fued with eachother. Some of the members take punks side, others take burke's. It could be something like NWO vs. Wolfpack. Either that, or the Newbreed takes one persons side, and its more like a ROCK vs. Varooq NOD situation. Either way would work In my opinion.

He can piss the crowd off very easily by saying something he has said before... Straight edge means that I am better than you! If he cuts a great promo and finishes it off with that saying in the middle of the ring, I am pretty sure half the crowd would turn on him because he would be critizing almost all of them.

I dont thi nk fans care about his character. The guy was over with the crowd the second they found out he was signed, simply becasue hes such a good athelete.
