I'll one-up you. The TEN people that are currently not a solid main event star but I can see being such in 2011, are, in no particular order:
1. John Morrison - There's no reason why he wouldn't be.
2. The Miz - This guy went from absolute garbage jobber that should be released to being above the IC and US titles (their current value) in a year. Imagine if he keeps improving. He could be a big star.
3. Evan Bourne - Like HHD says above, this guy's the new Rey Mysterio. Three matches into his WWE career, the guy was getting cheered by the fans, even though he lost his first match and was using a different name! He seems to have a great work ethic, hasn't gotten into any problems yet, and he's very entertaining and young. Only thing he has to improve is his mic skills and he'll be gold.
4. Cody Rhodes - Continues to improve, is a great midcarder right now and could have a successful IC title reign with ease, and he seems to really understand wrestling at its core. With enough time, this guy will be one of the biggest faces in the company's main event scene.
5. Ted DiBiase - Can't see why not.
6. Jack Swagger - Although I think everybody is creaming their pants over him WAAAAAAAAY too early, and ignoring his horrible lisp which worsens his already rather bland promos (and acting ability), the guy does have potential. I haven't been entertained by any of his matches yet, but that's not in the same fashion as someone like Kozlov, who has a lame looking headbutt and that's all he ever does. Swagger has more flexibility when it comes to a learning curve, so he has the potential to make it in the business, especially due to his look and his size.
7. Shelton Benjamin - His mic skills still might not be fantastic, but you can't argue that he hasn't gotten better than what he was a few months ago. His trip to ECW and this US title reign have helped him gain that confidence to start actually improving his game.
8. The Brian Kendrick - In 2009 he'll most likely have a midcard title reign. In 2010, upper midcarder. 2011, breaks out into the main event. This is assuming he behaves and doesn't get busted for marijuana enough to make enemies backstage.
9. MVP - His age puts it a bit into question, but he'll most likely be main eventing before 2011 and still hanging around there then.
10. Mr. Kennedy OR Kofi Kingston - I could see Kofi having some problems in 2009 when they don't want to focus on him too much and he starts getting a little bland. But the guy has the abilities that he could be the next Booker T in a lot of ways. He's not a definite. And another guy that isn't a definite is Mr. Kennedy. 2011 isn't too far away, but how likely is it that he gets injured again? He hasn't even had a successful midcard title reign, so he isn't so high up that they could protect his spot, you know? Kennedy, I feel, needs 2009 to be great, and if it isn't, he's screwed and he'll never get his opportunity to be a main event star at the level they want him to be. Kofi and Ken have about the same amount of chances, which is why I can't pick between the two.
But of course, there would be those dark horses in FCW that could debut within the next 6 months and make such a huge splash that they blast one of these ten out of it. And there are those weird circumstances where someone gets a bad injury and things go haywire. You can never really tell, but those are 10 names that haven't won a world championship yet but have the ability to be in the main event by 2011.
