Predict the NEW top 5 Main Eventers of 2011

Crush1

Getting Noticed By Management
Yes ladies and gentleman this is a thread in which YOU have to predict who is going to be main eventing. You can use anyone you like FROM THE MIDCARD. But at least try to give some small reason as to why you have picked the wrestlers that are going to main event in 2011

OK if everythings fine then lets.... get... ready.... steady..... GO!!!!!

1. Jack Swagger: Because he has the skillz, looks and is being pushed correctly.

2. John Morrison: This guy has the word Fame and Fortune written all over his abs. No joke.

3. MVP One of the most talented guys i have ever seen.

4. Evan Bourne basicly Rey Mysterio#2

5. CM Punk He's one of my favs even though the entire IWC is blasting him left and right <_<

Anyway these are my picks. And isnt it SUCH a coincidence that at least four of my picks are related to ECW? HOHOHOHOHOH XD ( Because ECW is a GOOD!! show you should try watching it sometimes)

I'll one-up you. The TEN people that are currently not a solid main event star but I can see being such in 2011, are, in no particular order:

1. John Morrison - There's no reason why he wouldn't be.

2. The Miz - This guy went from absolute garbage jobber that should be released to being above the IC and US titles (their current value) in a year. Imagine if he keeps improving. He could be a big star.

3. Evan Bourne - Like HHD says above, this guy's the new Rey Mysterio. Three matches into his WWE career, the guy was getting cheered by the fans, even though he lost his first match and was using a different name! He seems to have a great work ethic, hasn't gotten into any problems yet, and he's very entertaining and young. Only thing he has to improve is his mic skills and he'll be gold.

4. Cody Rhodes - Continues to improve, is a great midcarder right now and could have a successful IC title reign with ease, and he seems to really understand wrestling at its core. With enough time, this guy will be one of the biggest faces in the company's main event scene.

5. Ted DiBiase - Can't see why not.

6. Jack Swagger - Although I think everybody is creaming their pants over him WAAAAAAAAY too early, and ignoring his horrible lisp which worsens his already rather bland promos (and acting ability), the guy does have potential. I haven't been entertained by any of his matches yet, but that's not in the same fashion as someone like Kozlov, who has a lame looking headbutt and that's all he ever does. Swagger has more flexibility when it comes to a learning curve, so he has the potential to make it in the business, especially due to his look and his size.

7. Shelton Benjamin - His mic skills still might not be fantastic, but you can't argue that he hasn't gotten better than what he was a few months ago. His trip to ECW and this US title reign have helped him gain that confidence to start actually improving his game.

8. The Brian Kendrick - In 2009 he'll most likely have a midcard title reign. In 2010, upper midcarder. 2011, breaks out into the main event. This is assuming he behaves and doesn't get busted for marijuana enough to make enemies backstage.

9. MVP - His age puts it a bit into question, but he'll most likely be main eventing before 2011 and still hanging around there then.

10. Mr. Kennedy OR Kofi Kingston - I could see Kofi having some problems in 2009 when they don't want to focus on him too much and he starts getting a little bland. But the guy has the abilities that he could be the next Booker T in a lot of ways. He's not a definite. And another guy that isn't a definite is Mr. Kennedy. 2011 isn't too far away, but how likely is it that he gets injured again? He hasn't even had a successful midcard title reign, so he isn't so high up that they could protect his spot, you know? Kennedy, I feel, needs 2009 to be great, and if it isn't, he's screwed and he'll never get his opportunity to be a main event star at the level they want him to be. Kofi and Ken have about the same amount of chances, which is why I can't pick between the two.

But of course, there would be those dark horses in FCW that could debut within the next 6 months and make such a huge splash that they blast one of these ten out of it. And there are those weird circumstances where someone gets a bad injury and things go haywire. You can never really tell, but those are 10 names that haven't won a world championship yet but have the ability to be in the main event by 2011.

1- Christian - his return is gonna be solid, he is gonna have immediate fan reaction and by 2011 I see a first title reign after a MITB victory

2- Ted Dibiase Jr. - I see him getting the exact push Randy got from evolution. A solid winning streak and maybe an upset title win, but basically he has every tool to be a main eventer

3- Jack Swagger - Only if he gets a manager. He has every skill but that lisp will hinder his promos. You give him a manager and he is a main event heel for many years to come.

4 - John Morrison - I think its only a matter of time. He needs to go back to using the moonlight drive or some finisher like that because he doesnt connect with the springboard kick at a high enough percentage and it just seems weak.

5 - MVP - i think this is more for the end of 2009 but because of this i think its the most likely for him to still be around the main event in 2011

You guys pretty much covered all of the most likely names that will make it big by 2011, but of course there could be even more that haven't even debuted yet.

I got another addition to the list- I can't believe no one mentioned the future WWE Champion, Santino Marella.

Here's my list of future main-eventers:

1. John Morrison. Has to happen eventually. Has been around for a while. Has paid his dues. Generates a lot of heel heat. Great mic skills. In great shape and has apparently been playing by the rules since one suspension. Ditch the Miz, let him fly solo, and he can be a future star.

2. MVP. Great potential, I'm hoping his current losing streak is building up to something significant, such as an extended winning streak leading up to a title run.

3. Maryse. Perhaps a diva does not belong on a list of "main-eventers" because the divas do not typically main event. However I see Maryse as the next big thing on the diva scene. Move her to Raw and make her the Women's Champion. A couple of years ago, she was just a gorgeous model who was unsuccessful in the diva search. Last year, she was around but not really wrestling a lot. Now she is a plausible female wrestler who fits the bill in every respect as a diva. Look, she's no mat technician, really none of them are. But she is every bit as good, and actually much better, than Kelly Kelly, Maria, Michelle McCool, Candice, and most (but not all) others. Great look, great body, has the physique of a diva wrestler, great heel personna (as a Canadian, and more specifically, a French Canadian). If she progresses at her current astronomical rate, I see her as the next Trish Stratus, if not better.

4. Evan Bourne. Great high flyer, over with the fans in the same vein as Rey Mysterio.

5. Ted DiBiase Jr. Great pedigree, being associated with Rhodes and Orton (and separated from Manu and Snuka) will be a big help.

For those of you who see a big push coming for Carlito, Kennedy, Kingston, Santino Marella, or Shelton Benjamin, I believe you're dreaming. Benjamin has been given opportunities, but has not shown he can move up to the next tier. Carlito will be a mid carder for another while but will soon be released. Marella is doing great as a comedic character but now will never be taken seriously. Kennedy is injury prone and will not survive 2009 without getting released. Maybe Kingston, I just don't see it happening.

Great thread. Here's my list:

John Morrison. He's the obvious, near unanimous pick. The guy has so much going for him. He's single handedly carrying the successes of "Tough Enough," though I still feel Matt Capotelli would have been a superstar if not for the brain tumor. Morrison is a maniac, just needs guidance.

Kofi Kingston. He's just that likable. Fresh face, bright smile, entertaining match. He needs to work on versatility (not every match with be high flying) and I haven't been too thrilled with his mic work yet.

Chris Sabin. Seems a little bit out of place, right? But HHD didn't specify that he wanted WWE guys, so I say Sabin, by age 27, jumps ship to WWE and makes some waves. He's got what it takes to make things happen on a grander stage.

Ted DiBiase. Greatness is in the man's genes and in the man's face. He's got a terrific presence, and his non-verbals week-in, week-out are solid. Main event material is ever I've seen it.

Cody Rhodes. I can't get over how much he's improved. Good god, this kid's excellent. His in ring work is solid, he sells pretty well, he has a great look. Keep up with the solid booking and you've got a diamond in the rough here.
