new main eventers

Everyone is talking about how WWE needs to make new stars and push more people to the top. Do you think we are spoiled because the main event has been so top heavy for so long? I agree that there are no fresh feuds and that would be a good reason. But I think its time to unify the titles and make one world champ that way theres no pressure to push so many midcarders to the top when their not ready and nows the best time in years to do it, with Edge hurt and Jeff possibly leaving. If you keep the main event too top heavy you never go back to one belt cause people would loose thier main event positions, so do it now before more people get pushed and fix it. What you think

I disagree and agree with you..the main event has been full for awhile because the same heavyweights were the same ones headlined but here's the thing with how its turning out to be now.. It kind of feels like that the WWE has realised this and has moved the heavyweights to perform with the midcards at the same time to freshen up the new guys... By example we have cena and miz going back and forth as well as rey and a midcarder bout to fued and jericho is in the tag division to help midcarders and tag division there.. That keeps the spot light on all divisions.. The main event scene to me is changing with cm punk and hardy over on sd and others I feel like will get pushed up there soon with edge and hardy prob out... With the combining the world titles I disagree with.. All brands needs a major champ.. Cause that helps build more main eventers... With the way sd! Is I'm not worried about the main event picture even if hardy leaves and edge out for awhile.. Raw is the same thing... Yeah they need to change up the main event and have Triple H and Randy Orton fued with some younger guys like show and cena has lately to kind of help build names and future superstars.... I say relax and just watch cause we just witnessed a change and this kind of talk is moving to fast before we get to really see what's goin on with the fresh faces and fueds...

I could kind of agree with that statement, that we're spoiled in a way. But in the same sense, WWE has way too many talent that they want to push and they get lost in the mix or just fall of the face of the earth in the storylines.

I never looked at forums or anything during the whole Attitude era or anything, but there weren't all that many main eventers if you think about it, and that was probably one of the best times for wrestling. You had Austin, Rock, Mankind, Triple H and DX, Jericho, Undertaker, and Kane. The mid-card talent didn't seem to get that much of a push because they had the IC title, the European, tag belts and even the Hardcore title.

I think things have just gotten too cluttered in WWE and they are overstocked on talent and titles, but they don't try and focus on the new talent, they just keep churning out the same stuff and have focused the shows on the WWE title and the World Heavyweight Title, when they need to worry about doing a little bit more with the U.S. title and the IC title, and getting 1 set of tag titles already, and not adding ANOTHER women's belt....but none of this isn't anything anyone has said here before already

Here is a few problems with the top heavy cluttering title mess of the entire WWE.

They put tag titles on both brands with a slim variety of tag teams on each brand, thus you had Miz and Morrison who were on ECW a tag champion for Raw and had them feuding with guys on Smackdown, and then we unified the tag titles...

The same thing is going to happen with the woman's division they are building chicks on ECW for Smackdown and/or Raw (Katie Lea for example) and the woman's division is going to either show lack of feuds on one end before the next draft and you will see one unified champion for that as well.

When it comes to the Heavyweight and WWE titles the problem with unifying those titles is the fact that we have seen an undisputed title before and what ended up happening was the guy feuding for it on Smackdown stayed on Smackdown and RAW for a month kinda suffered in terms of setting up a main event feud for the pay-per-view vice versa for Raw, this is also why we don't have one branded pay-per-views anymore while you lose time in the 3 weeks to build a feud if you can't tune in to that show why buy a pay per view for it.

The problem was here during the mid 90's when Hogan was ready to leave WWF, the WWE needed to move mid-carders good mid-carders to the main event which are the guys who still headline today HBK, Bret Hart, Undertaker, Nash, etc. it's almost time for the change to happen again as our top stars are getting older, and can't go like they use to which means will be seeing a new breed of main eventers by 2011, guys like Jack Swagger, Christian (he's still in better shape then Edge), Evan Bourne, Kofi, Zach Ryder, etc.

People are just getting tired of the same main-event wrestlers. Which is understandable. However, those main-event wrestlers are out there so much to get the money and pay for the mid-carders those same people are proclaiming as the future. People just need patience, really.

But I think its time to unify the titles and make one world champ that way theres no pressure to push so many midcarders to the top when their not ready and nows the best time in years to do it, with Edge hurt and Jeff possibly leaving.

People aren't complaining about there being too large of a main-event scene. They're complaining because the same old wrestlers are there. If we make it even smaller by unifying the titles, people will just complain about wrestlers being in the main-event after they've been there 3 years, instead of 5 years.

The real issue with the complaints about the main-event isn't "There are so many wrestlers up there! Baaaah!" It's "I want my favorite wrestler up there, instead of these old farts and the other wrestlers that have been in the main-event for 5+ years."

Which really just communicates impatience. Because if they sat and watched what they were shown, they'd realize that Smackdown is shifting their main-event right now. ECW has a very fluid main-event, but that's because they're a talent farm. Raw is slowly changing their main-event, with the addition of Miz after his Cena feud and the soon-to-be addition of MVP and Swagger.

i agree most of the current main eventers such as jeff hardy, edge, randy orton, mysterio are very entertaining but booking matches such as mysterio vs jericho matches like every week and every ppv gets annoing vince shood allow the mid card wrestlers to build up a better reputation and give them the chance they deserve to make a name for themselves.
