Possible outcome for Wrestlemania XXXI Main Event

Griezz

Dark Match Jobber
I honestly couldn't say how large is the actual concern about what happens with the Wrestlemania main event for the World Heavyweight Championship, but I do have to wonder about it. I honestly can't speak as to whether or not Roman Reigns is indeed "ready" to become WHC, but it's undeniable that in Reigns vs. Lesnar, you have someone who is still basically a rookie with a limited singles background fighting a man who has demonstrated a lack of interest in an active wrestling career & who there are still rumors will be leaving the company. Either way, the company is taking a big risk.

Of course, there is another option: Lesnar defeats Reigns or loses by DQ, keeping the belt. Suddenly, Seth Rollins clocks him with the MITB briefcase, uses the title shot, pins the unconscious Lesnar and becomes the new WHC. Sure, Rollins is a hated heel, but people might feel that he had the seasoning that Reigns still lacks, without the time lost due to injury. Reigns can still chase Rollins for the title throughout the Spring and Summer, while Lesnar can go and do whatever he wants outside of the WWE.

Rollins in my opinion deserves to be champion more than Reigns considering he is the complete package as a wrestler. He has the look and the ability And is pretty impressive on the mic considering he didn't have a lot of mic time with the shield then suddenly become the top heel over night when the shield broke up. Despite being the top heel he has been fed to the top faces.

Reigns on the other hand, yeah he looks cool but he's horrific cutting a promo and have a smaller moveset than Cena.

So I think it's time that Rollins got the title and make him look stronger than the guy that needs two bodyguards to fight his matches. He has a big enough move set to last 30 minutes in a match. So let him be champ and prove that he has what it takes to be a full main eventer

If the various reports of heated business disagreements between Vince & Lesnar are true, then it's likely that WrestleMania or the Raw after WrestleMania will be Lesnar's final appearance in WWE. If so, then there's practically zero chance of Lesnar walking out of WrestleMania as champion; while there are a good number of fans who don't feel Reigns is ready or even deserving of the spot, it's his and that's all there is to say about it.

If reports are accurate, it's not just a hefty portion of fans or writers who feel Reigns isn't ready, it's some in the WWE locker room and among WWE management as well. If true, then even though it's all but certain Roman Reigns beats Lesnar for the title, there's a distinct possibility that Reigns doesn't leave WrestleMania as champion. As we've all been speculating and theorizing about, Seth Rollins could use this moment to cash in his MITB briefcase and essentially "steal" the title from Reigns. WrestleMania will be comprised of a huge number of smarks and it's no secret that many of those smarks are going to be rallying against Roman Reigns. However, WWE could send the smarky audience home happy by having someone they do favor, namely Seth Rollins, screw over Reigns by stealing his moment of glory, cashing in his MITB briefcase and taking the title from an exhausted Roman Reigns. For a lot of fans, it'd be ending the show on a high note and create a moment that generates a ton of buzz heading into Raw the following Monday.

It's also possible that Reigns wins, has his moment and comes to Raw the next night as champion. If Lesnar is still with the company on that night, he could cash in his rematch clause and give Raw a huge main event as it'll be the first & only time Brock Lesnar has wrestled outside of a ppv appearance since his first run ended back in 2004, which'll probably help pop a big rating. Given that the Raw after WrestleMania is traditionally a very hot show, it's possible they could always wait for Rollins to cash in here as that episode of Raw also has a huge smarky audience in attendance.

I think the ultimate goal will be for Reigns to chase the title over the course of the summer, building up some more credibility along the way, before ultimately regaining the title from Rollins at SummerSlam.
Either March 29th or March 30th, I believe Rollins will successfully cash in his MITB briefcase to become WWE World Heavyweight Champion. I think it'll depend on which night WWE officials believe needs the bigger send off because the crowds of both shows will most likely be highly anti-Roman Reigns. On one hand, having Rollins do it a the biggest show of the year will send a lotta fans home happy. On the other hand, waiting until the next night live on television after possibly a huge main event also sends fans home happy and generates a ton of buzz for next week's show.

Ging forward without Leanar, as it seems to be the case right, it makes a lot of sense for Rollins to be the WWE Champion and for Reigns to do the chasing again. And the only way that they can do this, is for Rollins to cash in his briefcase and win come WrestleMania. But I don't think it would right to put him over Lesnar in that instance. I think that it makes much more sense for Reigns to go over Lesnar and then Rollins to go over Reigns. Personally, I think it works on two levels. First, Reigns is forever known as the guy who did what John Cena couldn't; he beats Brock Lesnar clean in the middle of the ring. He picks up his first WWE Championship (of many) and gets the credit for that. Secondly, it means that Rollins gets a similar rub. He would be, I'm fact, the guy who beat the guy who beat Brock Lesnar. And if he is indeed paired with Heyman after WrestleMania, can't you just imagine Heyman saying that already?

Honestly, unless Brock signs, I don't think there is anyway he walks out of Mania as the Champion. I know that he is scheduled to appear on Raw the next night but it's better to give the guys who are going to be there going forward a WrestleMania moment that is going to stand them in good stead for the rest of their career. Having Lesnar win and lose on Raw accomplishes nothing compared to a win for Reigns and Rollins at WrestleMania.

But like I said, the face should always be chasing the heel for the belt, so having Rollins beat Reigns would be the best course of action.

Yes, that could actually happen.....and I have to admit I never thought of a MITB cash-in match ending in that fashion. During every other cash-in, the winner of the title match is so exhausted and beaten that he's usually easy prey. But what happens if the referee accepts the briefcase from the challenger and the MITB guy commits a blatant foul like hitting the champ with a heavy object, the briefcase or something else? Does the ref disqualify the challenger, thereby ending his MITB challenge? It's a scenario we haven't seen yet, I believe.

Of course, all these plans depend on what WWE has decided in the short term about Roman Reigns. If they've decided he's not ready to be world champion, then he won't win it at WM31. Of course, if that's the case, they could have taken him out of the picture by having him defeated by Daniel Bryan at Fast Lane, which is exactly what I thought was going to happen. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at WWE Creative meetings to learn what they really think of Roman Reigns at this point.

Meanwhile, there's Brock Lesnar, whom I've presumed all along was leaving the company after the big event. If he doesn't, of course he can win the match against Reigns and stay on as champion. But if he's leaving, the OPs idea would work just fine; Rollins cashes in, wins the title.....and Brock packs his bags and rushes to the bank to make a huge deposit before Vince McMahon can put a stop payment on the check.

The reality is Reigns is going to Mania because the whole point of the Lesnar thing was to get Reigns over the following year. That's what was sold to Mark Calloway so they're gonna go with it. If Reigns fluffs it, then it's on him, not the WWE pulling a switch.

I legit think this will be a match with 3 possible finishes until 5 minutes from the end and the refs trusty earpiece will be the one giving the news. If the crowd is buying Reigns, he wins, if not he loses, if they're shitcanning the match... Rollins cashes in.

Rollins will not leave with the belt. And what would be the point of a heel cashing in on a heel to end Mania?

Reigns is winning 100%. Not sure why anyone thinks otherwise. You don't have Brock end the streak only to be pinned after a sneak attack. Brock must lose clean and it will be by the hands of Reigns.

Reigns is winning for sure. And then you can have Rollins come out from the crowd. Meanwhile while Reigns is distracted have Lesnar hit him with an F5. Rollins enters the ring curb stomps Reigns once cash in the contract only to have Reigns kick out at 2. Do that again with a 2nd curb stomp and another 2 count and only in the 3rd curb stomp have Rollins get the 3 and become the new world champ.

That way you still have Reigns luck super strong - as he defeated the man who ended the streak and after this win it took 4 finishers to put him down for the 3 count. Also it makes Rollins get his moment in the sun and close out Mania.

There are 4 different ways this match can end, 1. Brock wins and leaves WWE with the title. 2. Roman wins and is new World Heavyweight Champion. 3. Brock wins and a tired Brock gets surprised by Seth who cashes in and wins. 4. Roman wins and a tired Roman gets surprised by Seth who cashes in and wins. I would say number 4 might just happen but does Vince want to toss a side his feel good moment to end WM31. They could just let Brock win and leave with the title, than starting the next night on Raw start a Tournament for the vacant title.

Brock is not leaving WWE with the title, Vince would make sure of that. I guess what happens depends on whether Brock wants to continue his wrestling career which would involve getting a new deal. If he's still pissed at Vince and doesn't get a new deal then expect anything to happen. He would only be in breach if he didn't show not how he does the match. He could go by the storyline or he could just say screw it.

Reigns sets up for the Superman Punch but is caught in mid-air by Lesnar. Heyman grabs onto Lesnar's leg and Brock drops Reigns to confront Heyman. Reigns takes advantage of the distraction and wins the title, turning heel and aligning himself with Paul Heyman.

The next night Paul explains that Lesnar was going to leave him once again and he had to invest in his future. Lesnar comes out to confront them, but The Shield's old theme plays and Rollins and Ambrose come out through the crowd. They surround Lesnar and eventually get the better of him, putting him through both announce tables to end RAW reunited. Heyman was the man to assemble them initially to help Punk and he is once again at the helm.
