Pick me an American sports team

NHL - Toronto Maple Leafs. We have tons of Leafs bashers, but we can take the constant criticism. We have a storied history behind us and while we are in the middle of a bad streak of losing, things are looking up with Brian Burke at the helm.

NBA - Toronto Raptors. Support the only Canadian team in the league. If not, go for the Caviliers because Lebron James is just amazing.

MLB - Toronto Blue Jays. See a pattern here. They are doing great to start the season, leading in almost every offensive category and tops in the toughest division in baseball.

NFL - The Dallas Cowboys for sure. America's Team, the greatest football franchise in history. The Steelers won't be alone with 6 rings come this season.

NFL-Jacksonville Jaguars, just because I don't want to be the only Jags fan here. We are getting new uniforms this year and that could spark some excitement. We aren't gonna be much on the field, but you will be able to watch the team develop and grow before your eyes. If you like run and gun offense, don't look here. We are a ground and pound, three yards and a cloud of dust type team. And we have Maurice Jones-Drew. The dude is isanely good. It will also make your lady happy because the team name is a cat, and it seems as if she likes cats.

NBA-Orlando Magic. This team is on the brink of greatness. Don't be surprised if they reach the finals. We swept the Lakers this year, and just blew out the Cavs a few weeks ago. Most of all Dwight Howard is on the team. The dude is a beast and a class act. You can tell he is having fun on the court and he just seems like a great guy. Plus, he's Superman.

Don't really care about the MLB or NHL, but if I had to pick teams, I would choose the Atlanta Braves for baseball and either the Washington Capitols or Pittsburgh Penguins for hockey.

If the Jags get lucky and land Crabtree, I'll be buying one of those new jerseys and you'll be my AFC team.

There are reports out of Philly that we are trading our 8th pick for the Eagles 1st rounder (21st pick), 2nd rounder, 5th rounder, 2010 2nd rounder, and Reggie Brown.

I have no idea how true that is, but somebody on the Jags message board who lives in Philly is saying they're talking about it on the radio. So basically take this with a grain of salt.

So, here's my suggestions

MLB- The Boston Red Sox- just because they're my favs to the point I do the prayer hands in the playoffs, if I'm lucky enough to catch a game. And I cried in '04 and '07, when they won it all.

NFL- The Bengals- Just because they're from Cincy, and they gotta start winning sometime, right? But seriously, I suggest the Pats. Class acts all the way, on the field anyway.

NHL- The Columbus Blue Jackets- Apart from being the only team in the NHL from the state of Ohio, they have Rick Nash. And a Stanley Cup on the way. However, if you go with all around talent, the Canadiens are probably the best way.

ECHL- The Cyclones- Kelly Cup champs, last year and soon, this year.

NBA- not a big fan, so no suggestions.

MLB: Houston Astros

NBA: Houston Rockets

NFL: Houston Texans - someone has to right... Plus when they finally make it big, u can say (like i will), that I was a fan from the start.
