So how many episodes are you in for the Creek thus far, X? You enjoying it?
I'm totally loving it man, I'm on Season 2 right now already, about to watch episode 11 "Sex, She Wrote". I loved the first season, absolutely incredible. Second season has been solid so far, but man, I find myself absolutely starting to
hate the actions of some of the characters and resent them. I wanted to smack Joey in the face when she pulls the same "I need to go find myself" bullshit Jen did and then she goes and starts trying to date Jack (who I already know from spoilers winds up being gay...so why the fuck is he seducing her and all this shit?). I love, love, love Pacey and Andie right now, Andie might just be the cutest god damn thing I've ever seen, she reminds me of Fred from Angel like that. She's like a hyperactive, cuter Gwyneth Paltrow. I must say though, since I already have had a few thing spoiled for me on the show, I'm dreading the Pacey-Joey romance. I was loving the Dawson-Joey romance so much and then it just fucking ended out of nowhere for the stupidest of reasons. I know they go off and on again, but it's hard to watch a character that you quickly grow to care about (Dawson) do everything right and still have his heart broken and shit.
God listen to me, I sound like a teenage girl. GOD DAMN YOU TO HELL JMT! I guess I have to check out Friday Night Lights after I'm done with Dawson's since that's the other show you're always telling me to watch.
You broke him, JMT. He used to be a lean mean, synchtube wrestling machine, and now he's spending all his time with Dawson and friends.
I know, but I can't stop. When I really get into a good show, especially a good drama, you can't suck me out man. I'm not as head-over-heels in love with the show as I was when I first watched shows like Buffy, Angel, the X-Files, and Lost, but I'm still loving it and binging through it quickly.
X, JMT, I am spreading the good word of Midnight in Paris. It was an absolutely phenomenal film, 10/10 for me, and you must see it ASAP.
Never heard of it, what's it about? Any notable director/actor/etc?
PLEASE tell me you watched Best in the World today, X. Edwards/Richards was incredible
I've got one of the replays ordered, but I don't want to watch it until I can sit down and do a full review. I promise ye I'll have a review up for the show by tomorrow night before RAW though, so stay tuned.
Dawson's Creek has this reputation for being for teenage girls... but only grown men and women can really get it's complexity and articulate dialogue. It was a brilliant show.
It really is so layered. A bit overly melodramatic, sure, but I love Kevin Williamson's work for the most part, he's incredible with dialogue. Have you seen his latest show, the Vampire Diaries? I've heard it's okay.
