[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

Huh? You can talk shit about Weezy if you want mang. I'm not the biggest Weezy fan, used to love his shit way way way back in like 06 and his mixtape shit. I dug the No Ceilings mixtape too for the most part. Aside from that though, dude's been making a ton of really bad music.

Holy shit I have to go look this up now?

Well to summarize:

Everyone was talking about Wayne in the music section, I think JKO started it up and I tore into the thread. You didn't necessarily defend Wayne or anything like that, but you asked me to tone down the hate, which I have successfully done so since then.

Yes it's been awhile since that went down. In any case, just to let ya know man I'm gonna start up something in the hip hop thread. Gonna choose two artists and start a debate on who is/was better. Might be something you'd be interested in.

Super awesome song + clips from Adventureland = awesomesauce. I forgot how much I absolutely adored that film the first time I saw it. We need more movies like that.

I also loved Adventureland. It's right up there with The Wrestler as my favorite movie from 2009.

I vaguely remember you mentioning one time X that you have The Squid and the Whale on DVD, but never watched it. If you like Adventureland that much, then you'll love The Squid and the Whale as well, I promise you. It's really short (only about 80 minutes long, if that much), but man... it's a great movie with tremendously interesting characters that captures the eighties perfectly.

Really? Shit I'll have to get on that then man.

So i watched the pilot of MTV's "Teen Wolf". It was decent. I have no idea why they're claiming this is some kind of "reboot" of the franchise like it's linked to the original awesome Michael J. Fox film from the 80s, when it's nothing like it really.

Now I'm in the mood to watch the original Teen Wolf.

BEST. MOVIE. EVAH.

Hey man:

I just wanted to tell you I've been reading the reviews you've been doing over at 411mania, and they're really solid. They reminded me of you and this place and I just figured I'd stop by, say hello, and congratulate you on your work. Congratulations on becoming a global mod as well, I don't believe you were when I left.

Holy blast from the past! Harthan what's up dude?

Hey Ty! Yeah, it certainly has been a while. There's not a whole lot on my end, really. I've been missing this place for a while, and like I said, X reminded me of it with his reviews, so I thought I'd come by.

How about you? How have you been? How is the e-fed these days?

Doing pretty good personally. Work, family, the usual stuff. The fed is doing great we just had Redemption which was 10 matches long due to how much talent we have now. I've been world champ for almost a year now.

You should stick around man our ROH conversations were always a blast.

Fantastic man. I'm really glad you're doing so well in WZCW. Are you the head of creative now? Great that there's so much talent now too.

I am thinking about sticking around. I've been popping into different wrestling forums here and there, trying to find conversation, and honestly this is the best forum on the net. The people here are just so much more intelligent, the average post here is actually thoughtful. It's great. I do miss talking about ROH with you, man. I haven't gotten to chat with anybody about indy wrestling in eons. Have you been keeping up with ROH?

Holy hell, it's Harthan! How's it going man? Long time no see! Glad you've liked the reviews man and thanks for the compliments.

How's life man?

How's life man?

It's good man. I just graduated high school and I'm headed to college in the fall. My life is in a way better place than it was when I left here. I'm excited to get back on a forum, I've barely talked to anyone about wrestling in the last 18 months. Overall I'm just doing really solid.

Good to hear man. I'm thrilled that you're going to stick around for a while man, the forum has really improved since you last left and we've got quite a few great regular posters.

Pretty good man, just enjoying life and of course wrestling and all of it's wonderful niches and subgenres.

Can't wait to jump back into discussion. Is there any activity about indy and puro stuff? That section was always so dead back when I was here.

Speaking of niches and subgenres, do you watch CHIKARA? It's something I got into after I left here and man is it ever fantastic.

Unfortunately there's still only a few of us that actually watch indy/puro stuff, mainly myself, The Bearded One, Thriller and various others. Not a lot of puro guys here besides myself, I started an "All Things Puro" thread awhile back but it hasn't exactly taken off unfortunately. Still, we've got a nice core group of people that watch/post about indy stuff.

I do infact watch and love CHIKARA, I reviewed all three nights of this year's King of Trios a few weeks/months back and I keep up to date with the promotion and watch/rate all their shows. I was actually about to start watching the latest CHIKARA release, the first night of the Anniversario weekend once I'm finished with this CMLL I'm watching.

Anyone else who watches indies and puro is a-okay with me on this forum, we need more discussion on these topics! The indy/international section was in fact merged into the "General Wrestling Section" like a year or two back too, so that didn't help matters either.

Shame, but it's nothing new. I just saw that All Things Puro thread. I'm starting to catch up on puro for the year so I might post a review of the Dome Show in there. I should be getting those CHIKARA shows soon as well.

Oh Mr. Xfear, I was wondering if you would like to listen to my podcast. We just started out last week, so I'm itching for some feedback.
