[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

Very good promotion, well worth checking out. They bring in alot of the top indy talent along with the big names from the Dragon Gate promotion in Japan and they really let them just go all out in the ring, even moreso than ROH does.

I was super-bummed when I read Danielson got pulled from the MWF show. :(

xfear, I'd like your opinion on these songs.

They had him autograph a bunch of posters or something, but still :(

There's a DGUSA show in Fall River on... October 29th? It's even cheaper than MWF so I might check it out. How many people go to their shows usually?

That Spineshank joint is one of my favorites. I made that Jeff Hardy's theme music in SVR 2008, it worked fucking fantastically with his entrance and persona.

I am awesome.

Holy shit that was both amazing and incredibly frustrating simply because it leaves you wanting to see MORE damnit! How can you leave us like that?! Weakness.

Perhaps a Lost movie one day in the future? I'd love to see that tie up some loose ends, it would do big bank too I'm sure. I kind of doubt JJ, Cuse and Lindelof will want to make one though. A fan can dream.

Not bad Milky, watching a PWG show from 2005 until I have to go to work. You?

Should just name it WALT.

Better yet, it should just have Ben reading us bedtime stories whilst he stares at us intent and creepy like.

I would pay for that.

I want Villain Ben back. :(

X, you ever play either of the Saints Row games? It took me a bit to figure out why the voice of Johnny Gat was familiar.

X, would you know where I can find a clip of Punk's promo after he beat Austin Aries for the ROH Title at Death Before Dishonor III?

Was Hennig really that good now Jake? Not really. Outside of matches with better workers like Bret Hart and Tito Santana, he really wasn't very memorable after about 1993. He was simply awful in WCW.

No he wasn't. I've actually been saying it for years. I just said he was good in that thread to really drive home my point. I forget what my point was now, but I needed to say Curt Henning was great to make it.

For someone so praised you'd think he'd have had more than half a dozen memorable matches in his career.

What in God's name are you doing on the internet at this time of day Jake? Did you finally send the little one off to child labor?

So X, my man.

I finally got around to watching Rob Zombie's Halloween 2 this weekend, and man... I fucking HATED it. I remember you had some pretty high praise for it when it was first released, and maybe I would have felt the same way watching it at a movie theater, but fuck... on my couch, in my home all by myself, I was so extremely disappointed with the outcome of this.

I thought the hospital scene was terrific, but once it turned out to be a dream, the movie went way down hill from there. No more suspenseful moments, just ridiculous ghost and annoying bitches whining. That's all the movie was for me. There were some decent killings past that, but still... severely disappointed overall, like I said.

All that said, you can still sense how great of a director Rob Zombie is going to become. I just think he ought to either direct other people's scripts, or have his re-written by a professional, because the dialogue and everything else in his films are becoming a bit repetitive.

Strange, I missed this...

I wouldn't say "high praise", I gave it 3/5 saying there were parts I thought were absolutely brilliant and other parts I thought were absolutely ******ed, but I thought the good definitely outweighed the bad, and upon re-watching it a few months back I liked it just as much as I originally did.

I fucking LOVE the brutality of the killing in the film though, keep in mind I'm a diehard slasher fan, I thought the whole killing rampage inside the strip club was one of the best kill scenes in the history of the Halloween franchise.

I also am pretty much in love with Scout Taylor Compton and Danielle Harris so they could whine and cry all day and I'd be cool with it. I thought they were both very good, as was Brad Dourif again. And I wouldn't have labeled the visions of Michael's mother as a ridiculous ghost, it was definitely visions that were coming to the obviously mentally disturbed Michael and later Laurie, showing their psychological bond after the whole revelation of him being her brother.

All that said, you can still sense how great of a director Rob Zombie is going to become. I just think he ought to either direct other people's scripts, or have his re-written by a professional, because the dialogue and everything else in his films are becoming a bit repetitive.

Agreed, but he's so unique I don't mind a bit of repetitiveness. I really, really dug H2 though so I'm bummed you didn't. Sorry dude :(

AMAZING soundtrack though. Like, amazing.

So...I blame you.

For?
