[Official] X Marks the Spot: Xfearbefore Xclusive Thread

It's your call, X, whichever is easier for you.

That show does look good. London-Generico should be very good, and we saw Richards-Strong go in Chicago in an amazing match.

Well it wouldn't be much difficulty to do either, but do you know how to use/watch/burn ISO files? That way if you wanted to you could actually burn the DVD as it was released with all of the menus/extras and so forth. But if you're just looking to watch the show and not to burn it or whatever, I'll just send you the AVI.

It's only a matter of time before that ROH World Title is around Davey's waist man, and right next to the PWG Title it'll look damn good on him. He's easily my vote for the best American worker on the indies now that Danielson is gone. Wouldn't be surprised at all to see him win the Best Technical Wrestler award this year from Meltzer, an award Danielson has won like year-after-year for quite a few years now.

I'll definitely let you know how the show is. I fucking love PWG, makes me wish I lived in California.

She was with Moxley at Dragongate's Mercury Rising show right? I think I had to pause it to touch myself a few times there.

Indeed that was her. She has stolen my heart, the harlot.

Hey X, are you nervous about game 7 of the NBA Finals?

Hell yes I am. We played miserably in Game 6 if we don't put out a better effort on the court in Game 7, the results are going to be the same. I have confidence in the C's though, they've taken some bad lickings this year and in the playoffs and were able to regroup and come back to win again. The only thing that really concerns me is the fact that they're in LA.

Oh how sweet this title would be. I'd really love to see guys like Allen and Garnett get one more ring before hanging it up.

Yeah it would be great to see Garnett and Allen get one more ring. But they are in LA, and you just know Kobe is going to want to crazy tomorrow night. Perkins isn't going to be %100, and he's a force when it comes to defense. My team got knocked out of the playoffs a long time ago, but I'm pulling for the Celtics in this series. I really don't have anything against the Lakers, but one of my friends is a Lakers' fan, and man can he be obnoxious about it some times. I Hope the Celtics can pull it off in game 7.

Would that be their match from 11/20/94? If so I just watched that for the first time this past week and was fuckin' blown away by it. 18 minutes or so of pure fucking brutality with some of the stiffest ad most brutal wrestling I've ever seen. And that sick table spot towards the end? Man people must have been flipping the fuck out seeing that in 1994 between two WOMEN.

Or are you talking about a different match between the two?

That's the one; she takes four piledrivers in succession, the last one being through a table, and she still manages to win the match.

Nice, thanks, definitely going to search out these match ups now. I was unaware that Bertha Faye ever wrestled in Japan.

Bertha Faye is so underrated as a worker. Judging her career based solely on her time in WWE is like judging Andre's career based on what he was doing in the early 90s.

Really? Lame I'd heard so many good things about Shimmer and was just about to check out some of their early shows. Still probably will just to get my MsChif fix.

They have a few diamonds; Mschif, Melissa, Daisy Haze, Kong, and Del Rey almost always have entertaining matches.

The rest are usually comparable to something you'd find in CZW.

Yeah, absolutely loved that match, gave it the full five star treatment. After I saw that match I was like "Okay, I REALLY need to watch more joshi, because apparently I've been missing some awesome shit".

I was totally unaware she could work a decent match to be honest because like most, I was unaware of anything she did outside of that short run in the WWF in 95, which was (obviously) rather atrocious. I'll take your word for it though and look up her Japanese stuff.

CZW? Oh good lord no, like do they go the ultraviolent route or something? I usually despise most deathmatch "wrestling", especially when it involves women.

I have no fucking clue how CZW has managed to stay in business and even grow after all these years. Atleast that miserable excuse for a human being Zandig doesn't own the promotion anymore, who knows, maybe it could become a decent promotion. Outside of some of the junior heavyweight wrestling and the ROH/PWG guys they always book though CZW is fucking worthless in my eyes.

Well, atleast it's better than IWA-MS though. Holy fuck I hate that promotion and especially that no-talent fat fuck Ian Rotten. You know you're a shitty worker when even ECW in the mid-90s didn't want you anymore.

I have a dilemma, wifey and the kid are out of town tonight, and I could use a few stiff drinks, yet I work at 7 AM......

Should I go to the bar or no?

Going to a bar never ends in not leaving absolutely wasted, so I'd say just crack out the stash of Crown Royal and have a few in the comfort of your own home homey.

Unless of course you're out of CR. In which case, the world has just imploded.

This is true, however I have the choice of two bars, one is for the older "upper class" people in town that I don't get along with, and the other bar is the wild one often times that more than likely lead me to stumbling up my steps when I get home. However it is Wednesday which means it could be a slow night, meaning a short time there for me.

And of course I have a stash of Crown, I got the original and a bottle of the CR Black.

Edit: Also, the upper class bar has blackjack, and I could turn it into a gambling night. Always good for Blackjack.

I have not actually, though I remember reading a glowing review of it comparing it to some of their best work from the late 80s, early 90s. I absolutely loved their comeback already, "Almost Ready" has to be one of their best songs IMO.

I'll have to get on that, I absolutely adore Dinosaur Jr. They just get better with age.

Oh shit, The Lemonheads play here in a few weeks! Cannot wait to see Evan Dando, one of the most underrated songwriters of the last 20+ years, you into the Lemonheads? Oh I cannot wait for that show.

CZW has wrestling that doesn't involve ultraviolence, but it's bad; in fact I'm sure that a good chunk of material found on Botchamania comes from CZW.

Speaking of hardcore matches, there aren't very many women that can consistently work the style and make it look good. Bull Nakano, Megumi Kudo, Aja Kong, and Lufisto are about the only ones I know.

And yes, IWA Mid South is god awful; though, I have to give them some credit for producing some decent non hardcore stuff, and for jump starting the career of my favorite lady Rachel Summerlyn.

Was the very song I was listening to while posting in this thread.

I'm not to big on them since I've only heard a few songs of theirs, but they seem to be at least decent.

They can occasionally have good matches though because of the indy talent they bring in to work actual wrestling matches instead of botch-mania deathmatches. I've seen some very good stuff out of guys like Chuck Taylor, Chris Hero, El Generico, etc in CZW. Outside of the indy guys they bring in though, yeah, CZW is fucking atrocious.

I loved watching Lufisto beat the living shit out of Ian Rotten in a death match. Made me happy in the pants.

True, like CZW they do bring in some good indy workers sometimes, and of course they had the epic CM Punk-Chris Hero feud years back, which is by far the best thing to have ever come out of that terrible promotion.

Was the very song I was listening to while posting in this thread.

Great minds think alike.

You should check out their "It's a Shame About Ray" album, one of the best of the 90s IMO. Here's a few songs from the album, the first video is actually from Lupos in Providence, a venue I've been to dozens of times.

And check out this acoustic version of the Misfits song "Skulls" that Dando did, tell me it doesn't make your musical penis erect:

Fuck YouTube needs alot more studio versions of Lemonheads songs, most of those are missing the sublime back-up vocals of Juliana Hatfield.

Yeah, cannot wait to see Evan and whoever his backing band is these days. It's going to be epic.

I was blown away by that match. I really like Roddy, but Davey moved way up my list of favorites after seeing that match. I love his style, and could easily watch him wrestle for hours on end.

I'll definitely let you know how the show is. I fucking love PWG, makes me wish I lived in California.

Sounds good. Any chance of them ever touring outside of Cali? I know most of the guys are in ROH too, but it would be cool to see a PWG show live.

All right, cool, I'll send you a PM in a bit with the link to it. I'll probably just upload it to MegaUpload. Do you want the whole show, or just the main event?

The one from the ROH show you went to? Yeah I can't imagine those two ever having a bad match honestly. I'm telling you dude, you're going to fucking love the Kenny Omega-Davey Richards match from this PWG show dude, probably my current pick for match of the year.

Nah, they stick entirely to Southern California I'm pretty sure, don't think they ever tour outside of that area. Bit of a bummer, one day I'll have to make the trek out there because the more PWG shows I watch the more I love that promotion.

Whole show would be best, I can do the same for the show I do for you.

That's the one. It was incredible. Honestly, that main event was what sold me on the show. When I get money and ROH has another good sale, I'm gonna get the Omega Effect DVD. I can see him and Aries having a great match. Omega was actually in the first ever ROH match I saw, him vs. Claudio in the first match of Final Battle '08.

I love Russelmania, so I'll probably be checking them out more. The vibe I get from them is that they have the same level of competition as ROH, they just have more fun with it in PWG, if that makes sense.

Oh, and apparently Danielson signed on to the DGUSA 1 year anniversary show on July 24th. I'm pissed, because I was hoping that he would be in Chicago with ROH that night :suspic:

But you said you were wearing one of those invisible condoms...

Was everything a lie? Do you not own a vineyard in Tuscany either? I don't even know you anymore!

Is it weird that I feel weird that the Pats havent won one in a while? They have been one of the few constants of my life, man. They need to come the fuck on this year, I feel like the window is closing for them :(

Also, I was waiting on a rolling smiley from you on how I responded to that nekkid girl demanding my pee pee I felt like you were one of the few who would grasp the true comedy of that moment
