I would say that after the success of "Pretty Fly for a White Guy," Dexter and co. stopped trying to produce great albums and focussed more on trying to garner singles success with more mainstream type music.
They have produced plenty of songs that I consider enjoyable - Staring at the Sun, Kids Aren't Alright; A Million Miles Away; Rage Against Myself; You're Gonna Go Far, Kid to name a few - but they have increasingly moved away from their original sound. I still enjoy listening to them but for different reasons.
Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace is far more in the 'easy listening' bracket than their 'neo-punk' roots and that saddens me.
