Sounds like a pretty good way of thinking about it. I loved the contribution of the 6-9 hitters. But I'm scared off by Francona's inability to mix up Big Papi and Lowell. I wish he'd use more of a Lowell, but I just don't see it happening.
The game itself was great... But I hated all of the fucking show stuff they had. They had the Miracle speech kid speak about the Yankees, they brought in Neil Young, I think they brought in Keri Hilton, or some broad, Steven Tyler. It got so annoying, really. like they were only catering to the Pink Hats.

Donnie Darko is incredibly overrated imo.
I did indeed watch it yesterday, another good episode that really delved into the psychological repercussions of war as opposed to simply the physical ones, which I surmise is the running theme of this entire mini-series. If I get some inspiration I'll go post in the thread for it in the Movies/TV section.
I'm a bit buzzed right now though so I'm just going to chillax for the rest of the evening. No more serious poster cap for me, no sir.

I own both, so either is doable.
I can understand why you'd say that, and to a certain extent I might even agree that the theatrical cut had it's flaws, but it's still an absolutely remarkable film, truly unique. Anything that is truly 100% unique like that is worth atleast some merit on that fact itself, wouldn't you agree man?
But yeah, don't talk smack 'bout DD in my thread fool, that's one of my all time favorites for some very sentimental reasons.

Don't misunderstand me X, it is a kick ass movie. Just overrated. I've realized that over time I have become very 'whatever' about the film but I used to really love it.
