OK, I'm going. You guys are really trying to get a books forum in there. It's going to take like six months at double the pace to convince Sly.
It's gonna take us some time, and several dead threads, to zero in on what flies in a book forum and what doesn't. I know there are people here that read extensively as I do. We just have to figure out what they're reading, what they care about enough to discuss, and what tone the discussion should have. I'm not giving it up anytime soon.

I kinda got it spoiled a little posting in the Kofi thread you started, but I don't know enough of what happened. I was typing something about Kofi in a bar thread, and it wound up being a thre eparagraph post, so I said fuck it, and went to start a Kofi thread, and then I saw one. Posted my thoughts and then started to go through it and had to stop. But yeah, I've been a Kofi fan for a while. He's fun to watch. But then again, I hate the wrestling.

I've decided to go through all of the Attitude Era again, starting from the first episode of Raw in 1998. I'm on the February 2nd, 1998 edition right now. I really, really wish I could find a decent quality set of Shotgun Saturday Night.

When you get to the one after Judgement Day 2001, PM me and I will throw on my copy of the Tag Team Title match and we can do a live discussion of that match in retrospect. Eight years on, we can examine how the four guys careers went. Seriously, that match was the beginning of the end for Stone Cold, The ascension of HHH came right afterward. Jericho went from midcarder to Hall of Famer, and not a Hall of Famer, but the guy who will lead his class, and Benoit, well, you know. I think it would be fun to do an LD like that.

You're preaching to the choir man, NAO were fuckin' robbed in the first round of the WZ tournament against the Mega Powers. New Age Outlaws were pretty much the coolest fucking thing on the planet Earth (aside from Austin) to me and my friends, and to this day they remain my favorite tag team. I don't give a fuck what anyone says, Billy Gunn was a damn good and underrated worker, and very few people have ever worked a crowd up like Road Dogg could.
I forgot how fucking brilliant that dumpster segment was. Terry Funk's quivering carcass is about as classic of an image as you get. That's how you do a worked shoot man, having all of the wrestlers come out of the locker room and trying to kill the Outlaws. Some woman keeps crying loudly, and JR is breaking kayfabe, talking about faces and heels. What an awesome segment, I haven't watched it in years.

And hey... I saw Wrong Turn 3. It sucked. The first killing in the film was awesome though and actually made me jump. I would explain why, but I don't want to ruin it for you.
But yeah... outside of the first few minutes, I didn't dig the movie at all. Definitely a downgrade from 1 and 2, IMO.

Yeah I've heard the third film is trash so far from a few reliable sources, so I don't think I'm even going to bother.

Do you have the Halloween 6 uncut version? I have never seen that, but I hear it's fucking awesome and ten times better than the version released. If you have that, then watch it in my honor. If not, then of course... I have to ask you to go with Friday the 13th Part 7.
