The controls will work but the looks and fucking everything else about it will be stupid

What kind of rap do you like then Dex? I mean c'mon, that's Nas, that song could have come out in 96, it's got that old school feeling.

I was into the gangsta rap thing back in the mid to late 90s. That whole west coast thing... Dre, Snoop, Ice Cube... ya know, the NWA alumni. To be perfectly honest though, I don't think it was ever really my cup of tea. I think I just forced myself to like it because my friends did. It was high school, I was impressionable, etc.

Static X...that's a pretty good song, but honestly, I'm not a very big fan of nu-metal. Don't hate me for calling them nu-metal either, that's just the only genre I can think of that they associate with.

Nu-metal? Ouch. Not the first time I've heard them described that way but I really don't see it. They seem to have a much more industrial-influenced sound as far as I can tell. Certainly not full-on industrial like a KMFDM or a Front Line Assembly, but the influences are there.

Let's see if I can't get you into some random music, this is one of my top ten favorite bands, ever, Refused. Don't mind the random video.

Hardcore Punk. I dig it. Never heard of the band but I'm a fan of the genre. There's some Black Flag influence at work there.

My turn.

Starts slow. Give it time. I'm completely in love with this band right now. They've got this folksy/grungy thing going on that I really dig.

My day is going great. Just now, in math class, my friend gave me a bucket of homemade buttercream icing. She was supposed to put it on cupcakes, but the person who was supposed to make the cupcakes didn't, so I ended up with the icing.

Also, in history class, my teacher was talking about high schoolers bringing toys to class and this one kid opened his backpack and took out:
  • A Spongebob Coloring Book
  • Markers
  • Sticky Notes
  • A My Little Pony
  • Rubber Gloves
  • Headphones
  • Measuring Tape
  • A Dora the Explorer Happy Meal-type toy
  • Rope

It was so fucking surreal and it seemed planned. Hilarious, though. Imagine if one of your kids did that while you were subbing. :lmao:

Planning on becoming a fulltime teacher?

'Tis a sad day. But Angelina Love really wasn't "fired" per se, I can almost guarantee she'll be back within a few weeks (assuming the WWE doesn't offer her a contract), it's not very difficult to get a new work visa, especially for a professional wrestler.

But yes...whiskey tonight for sure. I've still got this bottle of JD's from the Pats-Giants game I went to last night, so I'm sure I'll get a bit shitty later on, maybe with the girlfriend.
I don't know how one lets their work visa expire, you would think it would be a priority if you want to maintain residence and employment. I would think also that TNA would come up with a storyline on why she wasn't on the air instead of coming out and saying she was released. There is something fishy my friend.
JD? I am more of a Wild Turkey man myself. But it's all good.

Ahh, that's too bad man. Hip hop is such a wonderful genre.

I get what you're saying, I've just never been a big Static X fan. The metal I listen to is much heavier, or is metalcore or mathcore or shit like that. Old school metal as well of course.

Black Flag? Hmm, I suppose so. Refused were probably the greatest hardcore band of the 90s. Well, them or Aus Rotten, or maybe Toxic Narcotic. Refused were insane though, their last few years they really started to experiment with electronic music with the hardcore, simply amazing results. Their earlier stuff was much more metal and hardcore than what they eventually became, which is what you'll see here in these two songs which I'm sure you've heard atleast one of before:

Wow, I really like it man. It's a rather melancholic song, but very, very good.

To continue this trend of random music posting, a little Smiths to liven up the day:

WTF? Was this kid planning on kidnapping a pre schooler?

...Well that's a very, very disturbing backpack.

Perhaps. Well, yeah, I am. But I'm thinking of going back to school.

What is good X? Everyone else, what is good?

Not much David, watching a cheesy mid-90s horror film, having a cigarette, pondering what movie to see tonight with the girlfriend, and fuckin' around on WZ here.

Did I tell you I went to the Patriots-Giants game yesterday? Such a great day, Just a day full of happy sunshine drinking football winning blunt smoking awesomeness.

How about you?

Very disturbing backpack, but it was such a weird experience. Hilarious.

...You have a girlfriend? Awesome.

Oh and since I know some of you (Doc, Dexter) enjoy electronic music, I've been jamming to this recently:

You didn't you ****e, but I wasn't on much last night since I was at work, so it didn't matter. Glad it was awesome. I was keeping up with the Bears game though, pretty good game from what I heard.

Today is a grand day. Philosophy was good, and has me pondering a thread in the Lounge, but I don't know if it would be a good thread idea. Ate lunch at a good local place with a friend. Then bought a green White Sox hat that goes with my green jersey, and a new Bears hat. It is a good day so far.

You ready for Battle of the Sox round 2?

Man, X, I am pissed at the world. I had a stupid ass meeting where my boss took credit for my work. He happened to mention that I helped, but made me look like a bitch when I did my shit and half of his. Fucking bullshit.

That kind of shit is infuriating. I suggest consulting the best therapist money can buy, Dr. Mary Jane Greenthumb.

LOL, I called her surrogate, Dr. Jack Daniels at lunch. I just got done for the weekend, so, yes, Dr. Green will be getting a call.

Haha I've got 3/4th of a liter of Jack left over from the Pats game last night and the medicine man on the way with some fine herb-age, probably going to see the new Final Destination movie tonight with the girl, what you gettin' into this weekend FTS? Besides jerkin' off stalefish to college football I mean :p

Hmmmmm well I got about a 1/3 to a half a bottle of the Hypno left, half a bottle of Hennessy left......you know what tonight shall bring right X? That's right, I'm breakin out the Incredible Hulk.

Bastard...I have to make me up some Incredible Hulks this weekend now! Deliciouso!

Shit that's just for tonight, my homie Dudlee is comin to town tomorrow night, we have two bottles of Alize to finish off this weekend, plus I have a bottle of Crown Royal Special Reserve on ice, 30 some bottles of Budweiser, a good amount of Miller Light, a good amount of Bud Light, some Dos Equis, a regular bottle of Crown Royal, a bottle of Chambord, I got some Gin, some UV vodka, fuck I know I got some other stuff laying around.

Shall be a GREAT weekend.

Oh yeah brotha. It's do or die time for your ChiSox. The BoSox are on a roll lately, we're looking great the last month.

It has been do or die for the past few weeks. We sank quite a bit. Still like 6 or 7 games out. So we need to kick it in gear if we want to just make a run at the division, and need help in Detroit and Minnesota losing. But they look like even if this year they don't make it, next year I think they can be dangerous. Have you read Brian's posts trying to bash Kenny Williams in the Stadium?

I think both of our teams are fucked to be honest David, unless the Tigers do some severe losing, and the Twins keep rolling like they have been lately, I don't think we can catch them, and we're prone to streaky play unfortunately. The White Sox, I hate to say it but it seems like they're giving up on the season with the trades they've made recently here. So as it stands, I think both of us are out of the playoffs at the end of the year. I think the Sox need to infuse some youth into their lineup, that will probably help them. The Twins have youth but a lot of our pitchers are looking like shit this year. We have some good ones in rotation, but we just don't have a solid number 1 guy. I think we got a good number 2, but from there it doesn't look good. Liriano is proving to be either a flash in a pan from a few seasons ago, or that surgery just completely killed his pitching ability. I'm hoping the Twins got some pitchers ready to go in the minors to potentially be called up next year.

Completely right Ty. The Tigers are playing a lot better than I figured they would. I didn't think they could keep up playing as solid as they have. I was proven wrong. The Twins always scare me, at least in the Dome they have. It has suited their style of plays for years. The slap hits and running is better on that turf, but I am curious how they can do in an outdoor stadium. They need a little more power, and can't rely on high choppers in the infield like they can in the Dome. But they still scare me either way because they play the game the right way. Liriano could have been amazing, but the torque he uses on his pitches killed his arm. But he is still young, so it is possible he could turn it around.

The White Sox tried a small infusion of youth this year, but still have quite a few veterans. I think Beckham, Ramirez, Getz, Quentin, and a few others will be mainstays for a long time, which is very good. Next year I think it will happen too, and the Rios deal will help the outfield. I'm just curious as to what tricks Kenny has up his sleeves for this winter.
