I never watch anime, but I remember reading that Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt were starring in a live action version of Akira. Of course I instantly got stoked, but I think things ultimately fell through with the project.
Those guys are working together though in the new Christopher Nolan movie, Inception.

'Tis a sad day. But Angelina Love really wasn't "fired" per se, I can almost guarantee she'll be back within a few weeks (assuming the WWE doesn't offer her a contract), it's not very difficult to get a new work visa, especially for a professional wrestler.
