Kennedy's War? You're joking me FTS. What no one seems to ever take the time to look up is the fact that right before JFK died he had an order drawn up to begin taking the troops out of Vietnam. Unfortunately he was assassinated before it was ever made official, and the VERY first thing LBJ did after JFK died (literally like 2 days after he died) was reverse that order and instead INCREASE the troops in Vietnam.

If you're going to call it someone's war, call it LBJ's. Nixon did an awful enough job as well.

Who got us involved in it in the first place, though? That's right! Mister Kennedy.... KENNEDY!

Indeed we certainly were not. Not sure where you got that info, but I'd stop trusting it. We had a handful of military advisors to the South Vietnamese posted there under Eisenhower. Pretty much standard practice for any conflict we're remotely interested in, and in no way were they involved in direct military action.

Under Kennedy, that handful of advisors increased to... figure off the top of my head, I wanna say 12,000 soldiers? Sounds like Kennedy's war to me.

History of Violence is simply fantastic. Cronenberg is one of the best Director's working today. Have you ever seen any of his old stuff, like Videodrome and Dead Ringers? Or The Fly?

Oh yeah, Cronenberg is simply a genius. You really can't go wrong with just about any of his films. He used to be one of the very best horror directors around in his heyday, but now his last few films have been more "conventional" dramas like A History of Violence and Eastern Promises, both of which are fantastic. Cronenberg is a truly unique director. I'd recommend you check out Videodrome ASAP though, that in my opinion is the greatest film he's ever made. It has Blondie in snuff films and James Woods pulling a gun out of a vagina in his stomach! You just can't go wrong with that!

This week? Not really. Next week I start working again, so I'll probably be on less. Going to see H2 sometime either today or this week.
