Joba pitched eight inning, only allowed three hits. No runs. Tex, Melky, and Robby went yard. We were up 6-0 in the bottom of the ninth, and some idiot reliever gave up two runs. Mo came in and shut it down. I was very encouraged until Mark Bur-something came in and pitched like a high schooler.

I know Becker must be mad because they're trading all the Pirate players away.

I'm actually happy. They got a potential Ace in Alderson, and maybe Clements can hit at the major league level. We also got rid of two huge contracts and a decent size contract in Snells.

Who knows at this point. Dice-K is a weird fellow, but you can't deny the ridiculous talent he has. The guy is one of those pitchers that's either going to give you an amazing outing, or a terrible one. No in between. He's either going to strike out 13 batters or give up 13 runs. Who knows at this point, TBH most of us in Boston aren't worried about him. We've already got plenty of depth for pitching, Dice-K could be out the rest of the year and I'm sure we'd be fine. That said I hope he learns what the hell he's doing wrong this year and fixes it, when he's on the guy is one of the toughest to beat.

True. Most of the sports talk people have been blaming his pitching problems on the World Baseball Classic but I don't know. They don't need him right now but their offense needs to step it up.
