i don't understand why batista would end the streak. he's already over so what's the point. shouldn't mvp or kennedy do it to get over?

absoutely not....that would be even worse then batista doin it...i dont think batista doin it they probably jus plotting stuff out right now...but no way in hell would vince ever let someone like mvp or kennedy let takers streak end..i mean kennedy is good but i dnt think anyone that hasnt even been in the business that long can end the streak...taker wouldnt allow it....vince wouldnt allow it...he'd want a main eventer to do it but i doubt he will let the streak end...all u need is taker tellin vince he wants to keep the streak and he'll keep it

well if you guys know undertaker never won a royal rumble............... so if a smackdown superstar doesnt win the rumble theres gonna be a tourament for the title its gonna be orton wininng it.

I can see an ECW wrestler winning the Royal Rumble because the ECW brand is in its infancy and needs pushing.

With that in mind I think it will be CM Punk since whilst he has a large fan following, he is yet to hold a title and has thusfar only appeared in one Pay Per View (tonight's December to Dismember being his second).

However WWE does tend to use the Royal Rumble to re-establish or debut wrestlers whom they want to start using or use more often then previously, so I can see Harry Smith or Tatanka getting down to the last 5 at least because Harry Smith is new to SmackDown and Tatanka is currently being rebranded as a heel.

Also if they decide to make the winner somebody from RAW, I think Kenny would be a great choice, he always talks about how he's superior to the rest of the Spirit Squad, and winning the Royal Rumble would give him the push his character needs to back up its claims.

I think a raw superstar will win the rumble like orton or edge and ecw and sd! will have a tournament and it will be Batista vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania and Undertaker winning to keep the streak and his last title run!!

I've changed my mind since I last posted on this thread. Carlito has fallen so far down the roster since his match with Orton at Unforgiven, I will be surprised if he even make's it on the card. My new pick is Kennedy, I see him defeating Taker at Armageddon and then winning the Rumble. He will them move over to Raw and challenge Cena for the title at W.M.

The plan may be for Taker to lose to Batista at Wrestlemania this year, but do you know how many times that will change in the upcoming months? A LOT! There is no way Vince should end Taker's streak. Taker should win the rumble, beat Batista at WM and go out as the greatest wrestler of all-time and everyone will....REST...IN...PEACE!!!

I am all for some of the younger wrestlers to win the rumble such as Kennedy/Orton/Carlito/Hardy etc. But I really want HBK to win the rumble again, I want the rumble to be like his legacy...

A couple of scenarios for Royal Rumble winner:

Undertaker- Everything mentioned before. Starts his last year in wrestling, accomplishes another thing in his career by winning the rumble.

Ric Flair-Maybe DX helps him win somehow and he starts a last title run.

Mr Kennedy-Maybe he's the next guy to get a huge push. Rekindles his feud with Batista. He did have a number of victories against him.

Chris Masters- They give him a mega push and he starts a feud with Cena into wrestlemania.

Shelton Benjamin- He goes on a winning streak and 2007 becomes his year and he becomes first black world champion in the WWE.

CM Punk-Anyone from ECW is a longshot now that the brand is in somewhat jeopardy and I cant since Vince making a ECW guy win the rumble. He is the only guy who has a good chance other than RVD probably.

Randy Orton-Orton vs Cena, but where does that leave Edge?

Who do you think will be the suprise entrants? Some people I could see is Ron Simmons, Jim Duggan (he won first rumble), Chris Jericho(would be great if he returns), Mick Foley(pick your character)..

I think it depends on how things go from now. If the Rated RKO and DX stuff continues then i dont see either of them winnin the rumble. I would like to c orton win but i jst dont think it will happen. Mr Kennedy is prob the most realistic, like wat the done with Shawn Micheals back in 1995 when they had him win it. Also there has been alot of teasin bout him goin to Raw sayin hes beaten every1 on Smackdown so i think he stands a good choice right now, havin sayin tht, it would make Smackdown have the won 4 rumbles in the last 5 so they cld go with a Raw or ECW guy. I like the idea of CM Punk winnin but i dont see it happenin, jst bcos he is still new to WWE and is on ECW.

Considering that a SmackDown wrestler has won the Royal Rumble for the last 4 years I think that a change is in order. Especially now ECW needs to be promoted, having one of their wrestlers win the Royal Rumble would be perfect for WWE as they would be able to put more attention onto the brand and help it develop, as so far its not been as good as people hoped it would have been. As for RAW superstars, perhaps Kenny could even win it since he's trying to prove himself to Rated RKO, and he does seem to be in line for a push since he was depicted as the "only member of Spirit Squad who could beat Ric Flair" and now he's being associated with Rated RKO.

WOOO! Ric Flair baby. Ric wants to retire soon I think and go out with one last title victory/run. So he is my top pick to win the Rumble and go up against Cena. Or maybe Orton if Cena drops the belt before Mania.

Flair vs Orton would be good. Flair vs Cena could be good. Ultimate would be Flair vs HBK or HHH at Mania.

Other possibility is having Undertaker win the rumble and go up against Batista at Mania. Taker vs Batista would be a good match, and a good battle for Taker's streak, which hopefully Taker would be allowed to continue. Win at Mania, Batista does the rematch thing, and Batista wins again on Smackdown with assistant from Ken Kennedy or something.

Oddballs to win: Hulk Hogan (hey what better way to have him involved in Wrestlemania? HBK, Umaga.

Mr Kennedy won't win because he will face Undertaker at WM23. Randy Orton could win, depends on DX/RKO feud status. With that in mind, Shawn Michaels, Triple H or even Edge could win. It's too early for Carlito/Chris Masters/MVP/Kenny. No one from ECW will win it.

My hot tip is Kane. The rumour is Undertaker vs Batista but Kane vs Batista would be more likely, especially as Undertaker's streak will continue. Kane will come back after his Inferno match with MVP as a heel.

Are you serious wrestleman57? SmackDown has its fair share of great heels anyway, besides with the Rated RKO vs DX feud I don't see Edge going anywhere else any time soon. But who knows "Anything can happen in the WWE". Although Edge winning the Royal Rumble could be good, if somebody other than John Cena is the WWE Champion, Edge and John Cena have wrestled so many main event matches for that title in the last year, I think its fair that somebody else faces either of them in a main event for a change.

ok here's an idea: how about edge and orton "lock" hhh out of the building. they do what they did to hbk as they did to flair, and edge wins the royal rumble. he's in the main event at WM23, and hbk comes out a super kicks him, gives him the dx crotch chops, and edge loses. then they rated rko vs. dx fued starts all over. that way, hbk could have his surgery, and in a way, come back and the fued is still there
