I took this a month or so ago after it snowed pretty bad. The icicles were like 4 foot long in a few days. I like the rainbow in the light behind the icicle, just the way the sun hits it, everything. Pretty cool picture in my opinion.

Sweet thread idea, I'm big on the whole nature front, and I like to capture the moment as they say, so I'm more than happy to contribute a little nature photography.

100_1195.jpg

Just a sweet view of the California hills, about an hour before sunset, I love the old twisted tree hanging off the edge off the hill side. I took this photo out in Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Preserve, epic hikes and view for miles on miles.

I hope for some success in this thread, I have much to contribute.

Bad ass Icicle picture, I love how the sun reflects off the ice, something I don't get to see to much of out on the West Coast.

I'm a fan of the nature photography too. Cool picture man, i'd love to visit Cali some day. I'm sure they have such great photo opportunities.

This is a picture I took one day of my dog. He's a Shih-Tzu/English Spaniel mix. His name is Mani. Like.. Armani.

I took this picture after I put a shell in my Mossberg 500A 12 Gauge. It took me forever to get the light to hit it right, and a clear picture of it. I think it's pretty cool.

So Freddy Do you use a Digital or a 16mm camera? The shotgun shell was pretty sweet, very clear shot.

I have a couple more nature shots to add the the photography gallery, so here we go.

100_1225.jpg

Epic sunset shot, one of my favorite pictures, Is it a Kenyan sunset? Nope, California sunset, nothing sexier.

100_0992.jpg

A mid summer day, just a classic sun shot, with rolling hills and blue sky's all day long.

I was using a Kodak EasyShare. 12.1 MP. The screen cracked unfortunately so i'm camera-less at the moment.

This is a picture of a Riviera my dad used to own, we went to go see it in the woods of a friends house he sold it to years ago. It's 64 Riviera. 425 V8 with 400 horsepower. Very rare car.

30sxaur.jpg

This is the sky outside of the mall around here, Chesterfield Towne Center around the evening. It was taken like most of mine are, just "Oh cool, that'd be a good picture." and I just take it. Virginia has beautiful sunsets and skies.

5p33v9.jpg

Kodak makes a pretty decent camera, not the best, but it certainly gets the job done, Ive been using a digital Kodak for a couple of years now, besides the fact that its out of date, it still takes some epic photos.

Here are a couple more sunset shots, different views from the tops of different hills, enjoy.

100_1100.jpg

Took this photo right as the sun was finishing setting, I really like how it turned out, with just a glimpse of slight in the distance. An amazing sky as well, the colors are amazing.

100_1227.jpg

Right before the sun sets behind the distant hills. With the tall wheat grass blowing in the breeze.

I'll start posting some of my trippy night time photo's next, I adjust the shutter speed for some really funky looking photo's. I'll make sure to post those next.

Yeah, do you have a recommendation for a good digital camera? Someone told me a CoolPix or whatever, i'm not sure though. Seeing as how my Kodak is KO'd.

I'm not sure what possessed me to take this picture. I take alot like this.

20969_305028736188_554101188_5095805_3884090_n.jpg

These are the spokes on my friends Harley-Davidson. I was in random picture taking mode that day. I like the way it came out.

It all depends on how much your looking to spend on a digital camera, I have a friend who is in love with photography, and he uses a cannon, I think its the rebel ti, or something along those lines. Its a very high quality camera, with lots of add-ons and features, though it is definitely on the pricey side.

Here are some of the night time photos that I promised, taken with minimal light ( night time, no shit) and a little adjustment to the shutter speed.

100_1400.jpg

100_1539.jpg

100_1542.jpg

All three of these pictures where taken on a night time trip to visit my friend up in Sacramento, I was taking photos from the passenger seat, and I ended up with quite a few trippy photos.

The Arco gas station, the 505 north to Redding, and the State farm billboard, all three of these pictures would be boring and shit if I took them during the day, the movement of the car and the adjusted shutter speed really make for some cool looking photo's.

Love the lights and everything, it all just clicks together. I took this sporadically at my old apartment.

I love taking photos when I'm out on a walk, but I don't really have any I can say is all artistic and stuff, except for this one:

n1381232243_30221338_8928.jpg

I took this when I lived in Italy. There was a tree near where I used to love to walk, just sitting on an island in the middle of the road. Every day I walked past it I thought to myself that next time I'd bring my camera and take a picture of it. And one day, I did.

I love how it turned out. The light through the limbs, everything. Great picture that reminds me of a good time in my life.

I got a Olympus Stylus1010 10.1 mp digital camera. I haven't used it to much, but got alot of nice pics I took from some MLB games I went to that I'll share!

From Yankees vs. Jays in Toronto I went to,

A-Rod about to make contact

P7110148.jpg

A-Rod after the contact, yep that was a HR!!

P7110150-1.jpg

This was from a weekend series I went to in Pittsburgh vs. Mets

P8160185.jpg

This is of my dog Thorn, an American Staffordshire Terrier, soon to be an AKC champion show dog need just 4 more points to finish him!!

P6200006.jpg

I'm on the road to save up for a Nikon DSLR camera. It's gonna be about a year before I get it, but it's in the process. All these are taken from my cell phone.

I was at work, getting ready to go on break, made myself a sandwich and drew this on there with the mustard, thought it was funny.

38325_452896331188_554101188_6559629_4583613_n.jpg

This is another from work, fucking around.

12464_242874956188_554101188_4756265_80706_n.jpg

This is literally the stupidest trend I think to ever happen with cars. Period. I hate this.

39796_459068361188_554101188_6736414_5346774_n.jpg

And now more onto a picture fitting the whole 'photography' aura. This is a place in Richmond, called Pony Pasture. Beautiful river, with rocks and whatnot to sit on. This is the little waterfall down the ways. Awesome place.

As promised, SSC's epic return to the photography thread.

As most of you know, I'm your stereotypical California hippiestoner, not to be confused with that hipster scum you see polluting your street corners and drinking cheap beer at your local bar.

So there was a point in that last sentence, and that point was I'm a fucking hippie, who loves making sweet love to mother nature. I love hiking, and have plenty of spots that I regularly frequent. Today's pictures come from a place my roommate and I have nicknamed "the top" as it's the highest point in San Ramon, and offers delicious views of the Bay and some other pretty cool shit.

This hike is from the last week of July, and I was able to snag a few pretty spiffy photo's

The first photo is probably my favorite from the hike. It captures the rolling fog coming in from the bay as it overtakes an air patrol tower in the distant hills.

100_2118.jpg

These next two photo's simply contract the differences between the moon during the day and night. The night photo offers a sleek and sexy skyline as well, nothing special but it's the simplicity that makes these photos.

100_2109.jpg

100_2128.jpg

For the finale, just a simple trail shot, shot from pretty low to the ground, and angles just enough to squeeze the tree at the top of the trail into the picture.

100_2099.jpg

I've got plenty of pictures back stocked from my many summer hikes this year, and I'll try to stop by more often and grace everyone with my photography.

Great shit as usual SSC, sorry about the late response. I don't have a camera anymore, but I figured i'd contribute some of my old pictures.

This is a beautiful shot of the old Town Hall in Downtown Richmond VA. Me and my friend went out running around when it was snowing and I managed to snag this picture. Love that building.

l_79bbc951c3c3415a9704120d0fff10c1.jpg

I take odd pictures of things. This is one..

l_ce060a8f9f554cb1ba5e1efb844457a8.jpg

I have absolutely no clue where this was taken, nor do I remember taking it. It's beautiful however.

Haha, this is the steering wheel of my car. I thought it looked cool.

Nice shots, fellas. Here's a two part series I just finished up. I use a Sony Cyber-shot 14 mega-pixel camera. It also takes HD video, but I haven't really messed with any of that yet.

Pretty good shit man. I love being able to see all the little details and everything. Awesome work.

Here's a picture I took in a Wal-Mart parking lot, and also the photo i'm using in my sig to promote this thread. Pretty awesome for just a snapshot at Wally World..

Took this a few days ago when it started to snow, old garage.

My Caddy after it snowed, pain in the ass to clean off. Haha.

Love the photos guys. I've been into photography since I was like 14, I used to shoot for the school paper in my high school, and then I kinda just started taking pictures on my own... my real love for it though was when I took a 35mm Black and White Film Photography class, that was so great to work in the dark room and develop photos and stuff... anyway here's a couple cool pics I took.

VVVV The first picture is REALLY big, and I couldnt resize it without making it crazy hard to see with detail. So... I'm providing a URL to where its uploaded just so if anyone wants to take a better look without blowing up your screen.

1018417.jpg

Sorry about the first picture. Its a 3 photo panoramic shot stitched together by my camera of the NYC Skyline. Right in the center is where the Twin Towers would be. The photo was taken from Liberty Island.

parkourh.jpg

Thats a parkour shot of a kid jumping over an escalator.

Here are some pictures from Florida/On the way there.

162953_10150124082876189_554101188_8167165_1968403_n.jpg

Took this out the window of the Richmond International Airport, pretty sweet.

164150_10150123945416189_554101188_8164752_4148036_n.jpg

On the way to the airport.

Another view on the way to the airport. One of my favorite pictures i've ever taken.

I'll post some more later on.

This is at Henricus Historical Park, on the floating pier they have. It's where Sir Thomas Dale settled in 1611. They are re-creating the second successful English settlement in the new world. 400th Anniversary! Awesome place, lots of history there. English home of Pocahontas, etc. Google it, cool place.

189748_10150161096141189_554101188_8620762_4665959_n.jpg

This is one of the memorial gravestones or monuments in a part of Henricus. I can't quite remember what it's dedicated to, but I love the way the sun is shining there. I was just walking around looking for photo opportunities.

189316_10150161093911189_554101188_8620744_684641_n.jpg

Right when you turn into the entrance to Henricus Historical Park, you are greeted by beautiful Wetlands. There are always a slew of photographers out there taking pictures of the beautiful nature and such. I was on the way home and saw the sun setting over the Wetlands, pulled over and had to snap a few pictures of it. Here's my favorite of them all.

185885_10150161086281189_554101188_8620670_7873191_n.jpg

It was raining, and I don't know why I took this picture. I like it though. Hood emblem of my 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood. I've taken a few pretty cool pictures of it, I may post some more later.

This is just a random picture I took. Nothing really special about it, no story to tell.

I took this as I was walking to that Family Dollar store. I always carried my camera and couldn't resist snapping this pic. I snapped like 3 more, this was my favorite however.

Ric Flair's WM24 robe & boots at the Smithsonian in Washington DC. I walked up the escalator and saw this, my jaw dropped. I felt it necessary to give a loud WOOOOO! and do the strut.

It was in this small nightclub called the 9:30 Club. I had so much fun.

I went to Paris a couple of months ago, took a lot of photos and lost my USB lead for my camera. However, I found it the other day, so I thought I'd share some stuff. This is just three of the many I took. I'll probably post more at some point.

eiffel_tower_by_rollingthunderdesign-d3l03th.png
This one was taken from the bottom of the Eiffel Tower. I just like the angles of it. I also happen to think that the Eiffel Tower is an incredible piece of architecture.

a_wall_in_paris_by_rollingthunderdesign-d3l03d5.png
This was just a wall that we passed going up some steps. I can't put my finger on why I like it, I just do. The face isn't real, by the way. We checked.

arc_de_triomphe_by_rollingthunderdesign-d3l0567.png
This is probably my favourite photo I took. It's of the Arc de Triomphe. I love both the detail of it the monument, and the angles that are presented in the photo.
