[Official] MIZ is main eventing a PPV (OMG)

golden miz

.... BECAUSE I'M AWESOME
I've ever been more excited. WWE fnnaly did the right thing by having the best establshed fued as the main event After all this is a C rated PPV. But main eventing is mai eventing. This match is major because it wasput ae two title matches.I say this match is it, miz is now an official main eventer. What do you all think, they did something right with raw for once. I hope the title floats over of this fued, I could see orton entering in to ths fued.Hopefull it will be awesome. No pun attended

This match will probably be in the first 90 minutes of The Bash let alone the main event. The last time that had a non-title match be the main event (discounting Elimination Chamber matches) was Unforgiven 2007. The only way this match will be in the main event is if the title match before it results in a disqualification. John Cena just said it to hype up the match which I believe Miz will win with a surprise roll-up.

orton wont defend at the bash so most likely a raw match is awalys over a smackdown match so i think wwe had the title match on this raw to open room to establish a young star on a ppv that isn concidered a main ppv. After thisatch is the main event for rw. Who knows if it will be he main event of the woleshow but probly

wait orton s facing hhh again so its on now but i still thnk they wer right about the main event miz match

Cena's the biggest star the have, by far. Title match, last match of the nite it dont matter. He's on a PPV with Cena, its a main event.

Last year's Summerslam, actually.

But this could be exactly what Miz needs to get himself on the map properly. I don't see Cena losing, but I do see Miz being made to look like a million bucks.
While it's not exactly Miz's golden pass to the main event, it'll definately do wonders for his career overall. And here's hoping that the Cena/Miz feud keeps going till Summerslam.

ya this threat should have never been made because its obvious you misunderstood raw. I can see why you put it because of what cena said but come on there was tons of time left in the show and you should have known there was something else that was going to happen. Try and slow down before you go and post something like miz main eventing a ppv...ha ha ha that funny . thats like gillberg beating the undertaker at wrestlemania

Miz will be out of the Main Event scene by Summerslam. He's this generation's Mr. Ass: he was in a popular tag team, and now he's riding the coattails of a main-event player taking a break from the title scene. I think Miz will pull off a victory at The Bash, but he'll get his ass handed to him at Summerslam. Then, if he's lucky, he'll have a tag team partner he can fall in love with and marry, except, in the end, it won't be a publicity stunt (I'm thinking Cody Rhodes...I like the ring of Mike and Cody).

I pray that yu're right, Blade. For all we know, this could be a one off feud.

If you want to know the truth... I could see the Miz going over in this match. Just this once. Granted, it won't be clean, and you shouldn't expect for it to be. I'd expect something like The Big Show or someone to help out the Miz by the end of the match. But I actually do believe that The Miz has a chance in this match. If the WWE is planning on having this become a feud until Summerslam, then you can't have The Miz job to Cena, because it makes us feel like The Miz isn't a credible challenger. There is the theory that all Miz has to do is work a good match, but even then, what more would Cena have to prove against the Miz?

This isn't exactly main event, but it is a positive sign for those that like the Miz, such as myself. And it shows he's gotten down how to play a character.

Unlike..... That other guy....

I'd love to see Miz and Cena main event. They could put on one hell of a show. But the three stages of hell, will no doubt, be the main event of this PPV. It will easily go 45 minutes. But Miz needs to win this match, or Cena needs to make him look like Bret Hart, in order for Miz to go to the main event. John is very good at putting young talent over. Miz is the next big thing on raw, and this is without a doubt, the biggest, and most important match of his young career.

Who knows, maybe by this time next year, we will see The Miz facing Morrison at the Great American bash for the title.

This match is far, far, far from the "main event". You have 3 championship matches on the show, and also the US Title (I think?). All of these matches are going to be placed higher on the card then Miz/Cena. I wouldnt be suprised if this match takes place before the Divas match.

well just when i thought i wasnt gonna order the bash (another wwe ppv i have skipped and not ordered) this just ensures it 1,000,000 %!!!! the fucking mizzz in a main match at the ppv how awful is that this loserr has to come out and tell us "hey i talked to marysee in the back" and say "im awesome" and sayyyy "its miz time" this guy is so awfull i can not stand it anymore i totally ignoree the tv now whenever he is on hes just horriblee
fuck the miz fire the miz hes a wwe superstar WANNABE! hes a reality show star at best he belongs on i love money or some shit like that daisy of love or something on vh1 he does not belong in the wwe i can not take this annoying queer serious for the life of me :wtf:

I'm hoping for a fluke win for The Miz. Nothing can hurt Cena and he can always get his revenge at N.O.C or Summerslam. I am really starting to take Miz seriously as a M.E player. I just hope they don't bury him yet, he is succeeding at his job. I wonder if the match will actually be any good.

It's a good thing for Miz and will help elevate him if he performs well and get's over as a legit contender against someone like Cena. As for being and official main eventer, come on he still has a long way to go to take that spot.

I really hope Cena doesn't just go over in a squash. I want a Miz win with a roll up or a DQ the ref doesn't see. I DO NO want a Big Shit run in, that will really piss me off. The Big Show/Cena thing has run it's course and all I wanna see is Miz and Cena interact without the Show getting his 2 more mins of TV time. Miz and Cena work the mic really well and a feud till Summerslam would be pretty damn good.

Looking forward to how this match goes but don't be surprised if Creative fucks this up.

Last year's Summerslam was Main Evented by Edge-Undertaker Hell in the Cell. Non-title. Cena-Batista was the 2nd Main Event at Summerslam as well, also non-title. Don't take Cena literally. There is no way Miz-Cena is booked to happen before either Title Match. It'll be match 5 or 6 on the card, likely after the Women's Title Match. Everyone will be back from the bathroom and settled in with their last beers, so the crowd should be rabid by this point. Here's hoping for a clean Miz win by roll up or a Cena DQ...can anyone else see Miz annoying Cena to the point where he gets himself DQ'd?? That's what I really want to see: Cena lose it. I can get behind Cena if he drops his WWE Historian gimmick and shows up every week to fight...I want to see backstage footage of Cena stalking someone, playing mind games. I don't need him to suck up to kids anymore.

sting4life you hit the nail right on the head man Amen brother
you are so right the day the miz becomes a main eventer or is the champ is the day i stop watching wrestling and ive been watching my whole life
its incredible how bad the miz is i dunno why you people some of you are on the miz bandwaggon just really stop and think to yourself who your cheering for
this guy doesnt give a flying shit about the wwe or wrestling or you fans or being in the wwe all he wants to do is be on tv, get paid, get laid and get in maryse's panties which he probably already did i heard and that makes me hate him even more!!!!
but enough about that it would be awful if the miz held the wwe title ever it would embarass everyone who ever held that belt in the past like shawn michaels, stone cold steve austin, the rock, bret hart, the greats of the business if the miz were to hold it it would become a COMPLETE joke
honestly this dude with his spikey hair spray on tan and nonfunny jokes and annoying humor is just pathetic
can we start a petition to get the miz fired people? try that for a thread...

There’s no way this will be a Main Event Match. We all know Orton vs. Triple H will be at the top of the card. Followed by Hardy vs. Punk. You guys got to remember there’s a Tag Title Match, a Women’s title Match and an ECW World title match on the card. Smart money puts the tag titles on the line first, followed by the ECW, then the Women’s, then the Miz vs. Cena. Till probably be right before Hardy vs. Punk.

I would hope the Miz goes over, but after I bet will see the Big Slow get involved costing Cena the Match via DQ. If we are lucky Big Show will leave Cena be, since he finally beat him on Monday, and Cena can move into a feud with Miz to build him up. The Miz gets good heat, and has been since he was on ECW with Morrison.

As for the people who dislike the Miz, although he has the worst in ring attire on the entire roster come on give the guy some credit, he's vastly improved in the ring and on the mic over the past few years. He could become a great talent in the upper mid card over the next year, and could become a major player in the next few years.

John is very good at putting young talent over...

I LOL'ed pretty hard.

If this is a squash it's all been a waste of time. The Miz haters remind me of TNA haters. The guy is hilarious and has been the most entertaining thing on Raw since the draft on the worst wrestling show on television. Logic would dictate a cheap win or a no-contest but since it IS Raw...well you know.

ONCE AGAIN, I want to remind everyone here that yours truly called this almost TWO YEARS AGO! I knew this was going to happen. And I got shit on the same way I did in 1997 when I told everyone how great the WCW Cruiserweight Crybaby Chris Jericho was going to be some day, or when I said that a 3-person stable known as "The Brood" had assembled some sick young talent.

Miz is perfect in this role. He's actually worked so effectively with Cena that the crowd is truly WANTING to see this match. Maybe due in part to the fact that we are sick of Cena / Big Show, but whatever.

The amazing thing is that Miz has carried 80% of this feud. Cena was working against Show for the longest time and Miz ran the feud on the mic. It's a formula VERY similar to Jericho and Goldberg in WCW, which was ruined by Goldberg, Hogan, Bischoff, and the WCW politics. Maybe this time, they will do it right and see the thing out.

I don't see this as a squash at all. Remember how brilliant Jack Swagger looked against Cena on Raw a few weeks back? It'll be similar to that. With or without Big Show interference, Miz may even go over and get to run his mouth some more.

Folks, just save yourselves the trouble - when I see greatness in a young star, just shut up and listen to me.

(Laughing) john cena vs miz is not a main event by no means. John cena is putting over miz just like shawn michaels did for kennedy or triple h did 4 hardy when hardy won the title shot in 2008. The wwe is expermentaing with the miz to see if he's ready to go that next level. Having a good rivalry with cena benefits him and showcase his talent but this is not a main event by no means. The real main event is unfortunately triple h and orton and aclose second punk and hardy. Miz is lucky to be on the card at all

*sniffs something in the air*

I smell marks, ladies and gentlemen...by the way, Miz main eventing The Bash is a damn sight better than Cena/Big Show!!!!

I ain't gonna buy it tho, but not for lack of interest....goddamn cable signal doesnt work on ppv's -_-. ah, the wonders of teh interwebs.

I think the Miz needs to win this match. Love him or hate him he has done a great job in the role he is in right now. John Cena and the WWE will get nothing out of a clean John Cena win on Sunday. Nor will John Cena be hurt by losing to the Miz. Miz doesn't need to win this match cleanly just needs to win this match period.

I'm not saying this because I'm a John Cena hater but as a fan of the WWE. Right now Raw only has Randy Orton and Big Show as main event heels. How many times do they want to give us Orton vs Triple H or Big Show vs Cena or Orton vs Cena? Miz is young and will give us another heel on Raw.

Let me just say that Miz walking up to Cena, getting right in his grill, and calling him a coward was a shocking and awesome moment. Heels such as the Miz rarely ever accept a call out on someone else's terms. Yet he still came away looking not only like a pompous ass, but also like the cowardly, opportunistic heel when he suckered Cena and then high-tailed it out.

Best bet is for Miz NOT to win clean. I doubt we've seen the last of Show. Remember, Miz inexplicably attacked Show with a chair a week or two ago, and he's yet to answer for that.

I wonder if a Triple Threat is in our futures for Summer Slam.

After reading the first page, we're starting to become a bit delusional here.

First of all, the WWE needs to use Miz CORRECTLY before he's "the next big thing". Currently right now he looks like John Cena when he wrestled Brock Lesnar in '03 if anyone remembers. A guy who brags and draws attention to get into the top spot, only to look good and eventually lose and never show up again.

Anyway don't get your hopes up. WWE always do these kinds of things temporarily with lower talent main eventing.

I'm not saying Miz isn't main-event material, he still needs a character and approach.

They should slowly make him into a anti-"PG" character. Insulting John Cena and his overall image for now, then keep burning the heat. That would be great.

I have a few things to say here.

First, like many people have said, this is not a main event match. Regardless of what you want it to be and what WWE may say, unless they hype it more than other matches and put in on last, it's not main event.

Second, I can't believe how many people like the Miz. Maybe I'm in the minority here but I just do not find him amusing. Randy Orton is a heel that I see and think yeah I want to see him get beat, the Miz is a guy that I see and just think he's a legit dick and don't care about him. He's a decent wrestler, nothing special. He's ok on the mic, but I think there are certainly other who are better. And his look? He looks like a teenager going through an identity crisis. He wears like 50 things. It looks like he said "what's an interesting article of clothing from this subculture" and added that to his wardrobe. I am not not and likely never will be a fan of the Miz.

Third, this is really doesn't have much to do with this thread but I'll throw it in here. I don't view Cena a top top level guy (even though it's clear he is). I just do not view him on the Stone Cold/Hogan level that WWE wishes I would. In my view, him working with the Miz actually brings him down rather than bringing the Miz up. If fan terms, I cannot believe that the Miz has a legit shot against Cena and if he does, Cena looks weak to me. I'm sure I'm in the minority on this one as well, but those are my feelings.
