[Official] jmt225 Goes To A Japanese Steakhouse/Sushi Bar For The First Time

He's finally taking the plunge. Will he enjoy the food? Will he eat only maki, or will he venture to try some nigiri as well? Or, will he eat the maki and only eat the top of the nigiri (and piss off the restaurant when he doesn't eat the nigiri rice)? Will a Japanese chef come out and throw around spatulas? And, will said chef slice an onion and make it move around the table grill like a choo-choo train? Find out what happens this weekend!

Probably not.

I want to go back there...as a matter of fact, I'm in the mood for Japanese food. It's been a long time since I ate some.

There's this Japanese restaurant near me...it's pretty good. They don't do delivery though :(. If they did, I would be one happy camper.

You like sushi? Or, do you go for the knife-throwing and shit?

We have a Takaoka where I am from and it pretty much does what you explained......The food is fantastic.

Kobe is the shit.

I like Benihana too. They're building a PF Chang's mere minutes from my home though. MMMMM PF Chang.

It was a good experience and I'm glad I went.

The best thing there was actually this shit they called Spicy mayonnaise. Sounds ridiculously disgusting, right? But man that shit was awesome. And I hardly ever eat regular mayonnaise (the only time is on a ham sandwich), so this was a huge surprise. They also had this exclusive hot sauce that was really good, too.

Anyway, I had some seaman chicken, fried rice, and some stuffed shrimp, and that was all really good. I tried Flounder, which was terrible, and also gave octopus a taste, just out of pure curiosity, and that was beyond terrible. And like I promised Tdigs, I gave the California Roll a shot, and didn't dig it at all. After that I stayed cleared of the Sushi, sorry, man.

But overall, good experience. I loved the actual buffet itself. It was clean as hell, not many people were there, and the service was fantastic. I'll definitely be going there again and try some more stuff.
