How you know Batista is going to win it back? Especially considering when Vince said not only Batista but Rey would never win it again...or atleast for quite a while....but then again, with all the recent injury's...and with Vince's mood swings, anything could happen I guess, but i'm sure Batista would not win it considering his title riegn had a very low fan draw.

this is just so fucking sick!!! Khali is going to become the world heavyyweight championship. Lots of guys are sayin that khali is gonna lose the belt to big dave at GAB but i actually think vince is going let him be champ for a few months and have khali fued with batista for the title and have batista win it at no mercy or survivor series.....possibly armageddon.......

It's the only way storyline wise they can get Batista back into the title picture. It's actually not a bad storyline when you think about it, just shitty wrestlers. What else are you going to do on Smackdown though?

Nothing because there is nothing else to do..too many injuries and they got ripped off in the draft and i agree this is just a way to get Batista at the Bash this sunday in an overcoming all odds type way...but I was thinkin maybe Kane he is 5x the wrestler than Khali or Batista even though Kane still sucks in the ring IMO he deseves the belt and I know some people think he is shit and will bash me but still if Batista can hold a belt with no mic or wrestling skills whatsoever why cant a guy like Kane who has been around 10 years taking Vince's BS also hes then #1 contender right now and would make more sense to me but o well ill try and sit back and enjoy this snoozer of a storyline but right now Smackdown is in bad shape and it will be great when Mysterio can get back to action and freshen up this main event scene because when a guy like Khali is champ that tells you your so is in bad shape I dont care if its just 2 days or 2 years its bad

The SMART way would be to move Mr. Kennedy back to smackdown and have him win it in the same fashion or similar to the way edge won it. You could easily move both Kennedy and Carlito to SD and even shelton benjamin and fix the main event there without harming raw's main event as 2 are not in it and being wasted and the other is getting lost in the shuffle due to a strong main event picture. HHH is coming back so Kennedy isn't needed, a main event of Benjamin, Kennedy, Carlito, Batista(Sadly), even Finlay, Matt Hardy and Kane with a returing Rey Mysterio would put SD in a good position. Thats whatelse they could do.

I would love to see it Death, but it's become very apparent over the last two drafts that the WWE sees Raw as the number one show, and it will be loaded with talent. I love the idea of moving all of those guys over to smackdown, because we all know when Triple H comes back, those guys are going to be stuck in mid-card status for months, if not years.

Carlito, Kennedy, and Benjamin moving to smackdown right now would be amazing. Putting the belt on Finley, would be great. Hell, I'm all for putting the belt on Matt Hardy at this point.

But the WWE is lazy when it comes to throwing a curve ball. Batista is the safe bet right now, like it or not, and I don't. I would love to have any other scenario happen, but I can't see it.

That would be cool, atleast keep us guessing for a while. But I still remember the raw gold rush one, I didn't like how they went about it. If they could do it right, a tourny leading into a war games match at summerslam, or just hold off the battle royal and make that war games match at GAB to celebrate it's 20th anniversery.

The WWE website spoiled this Friday's Smackdown, announcing that Edge relinquished the WWE World champion due to a pectoral tear, as reported over the weekend here on the site. WWE needed to come up with a last minute plan to get the title off Edge and they did so at the TV taping.

LMAO!!!, that is fucking hilarious, Edge gets hurt, so another guy who truly desevers to be champion is forced to end is run early, just like the guy he took the belt from, the Undertaker, and now this time their big fix was The Great Fuckin Khali!!!!, I swear to god SD! is a cursed show, maybe Khali will follow in the path of the two champs before him, and get injured, then they can send Cena over there and he can come down with a big injury as well

the thing that has me confused is that they said that there will be a Number one contenders match between Batista and Kane to see who faces Khali at GAB, why can't they just make it a triple threat match, Kane vs. Batista vs. Khali, wouldn't that make a little more sense

Personally what I would have done with this whole situation, would be to have a WHC vacant till GAB, then the winner of a battle royal would face Kane (since he is the #1 contender), and the winner of that match would be the new WHC

and if we get Batista vs. Khali for the WHC at GAB I will be very angry, whether you like Kane or not this should be his title shot, Batista should be out of the title picture for awhile, I don't care if that means Khali is our WHC for the next six months or whatever

Wow Im speechless, truly speechless Khali as champion. Wow imagine the 5 star matches that this guy could put on.. wow. The only thing he has going for him is that he is big. But the train wreck of matches that he will be in is just going to further tarnish the image of the title.

I hope Shocky is right and his title reign is a very short one. Though I hope he is wrong about Batista being the next champ. I thought the WWE would know by now that Tista just can't cut it. Who knows perhaps going in the Khali direction maybe good.. probably not.

But again ill agree with Shocky, the WWE should of really had a tournament to crown a new champ. Why rush things?? I eman that way Batista and Khali could happen as a first round match up and perhaps not a clusterfuck of a title match.

1. It's ironic. Edge tok the elt because of Undertaker AND Kennedy getting injured. Now...full circle.

2. Don't put the belt on Batista, put it on KANE! Put it on a man who has worked tirelessly through years of crap and put guys over over and over. Then, let Batista go after Kane.

3. Has anybody else realized that ANOTHER top heel just went down to injury and once again the WWE is SCREWED on talent? A lot of young guys are going to get their shot.

IMO, the best thing for the WWE would have been to pull a fast one on us. Have Edge scheduled for an early match against Kane tonight for the title, but have him bail ASAP. He could have surprised fans to how bad the injury really is, kept the storyline going so that the main event of the upcoming PPV had no buildup, AND Kane could always win the title in a short match at the GAB. But now they fucked up. he worst part of it is, Kahli is Champ, Batista will probably fight him for the title, making Kanes 2nd appearence as a PPV big guy to not even on the card (Main event to nothing, on the poster of Judgement day without a match), as well, they're doing the poster thing with rey as well. We all shit on some of the bad guys, and now the worst of them all has the biggest shit of all!

Kane should defeat Khali for the title. The turn Kane into a MONSTER heel like he used be. Spend the next few weeks after GAB putting him over, and then throw him into a long program with Batista andor Rey. That could make the title scene over on SD! interesting.

I agree that Kane should be the one to have the title shot against Khali. Personally I think that WWE should have given Kane the title before Khali. Kane is still very over with the crowd, love him or hate him. I for one will be pissed as fuck if WWE has Batista sidestep kane and have him win the title again. Batitsa just came off a huge title reign and I for one don't want to see him as Champion for a while. I can understand WWE having to alter all their storylines due to injury, but it seems like they just put the title on Khali because thats the first name they came up with. I also hope that WWE has bigger plans for Kane, as I don't want to see him turned back into a jobber after he came so close to the title and a main title feud.

We now have word this evening that Edge, who had to relinquish the WWE World championship at tonight's SmackDown taping will have to undergo surgery to repair the torn pectoral muscle he suffered at last week's taping in New Orleans.

As of right now he is expected to be out of the ring for four months. This will put him at a November return.


This sucks but boy does November look good we have Edge, HBK and Taker coming back should be a packed month. But really what a shame for Edge as it was going to be his time and yet it gets cuts short.

I am done watching SmackDown. WWE should just move MVP, Mysterio, Flair, and Finlay to RAW so SmackDown could rot in its own filth of an untalented roster. RAW is officially the best quality show right now, SmackDown did have great things going for it but they are all gone now(Taker, Edge, Booker, Kennedy, and Londrick). WWE needs to take desperate measures and put either HHH or HBK(or both) on SmackDown if they want to save that show because Rey Mysterio does not have enough star power to hold that show by himself. Actually, I am all up for putting Cena on SD because 1: I am not watching it anymore(unless it rebuilds it's star power) and 2: Cena "supposedly" attracts the wrestling audience wherever he goes.

During the Pay-Per-View have him do something where he gets into the match and wins the belt. Becasue seriously a Kane-Khali feud... SUCKS... A Khalil-Batista feud... SUCKS... Yeah Kane is still over with the fans, but how can you say Khali isn't over with the fans? He's certainly over as a heel, people hate him.

Yeah he can't wrestle for shit, but based on a storyline/kayfabe point of view, how could WWE NOT put the championship on Khali? He's plowed through pretty much everyone except for Cena on the roster, and the only other person he was going to to do the job to was Batista. Considering the people he's beaten on Raw, ECW and Smackdown!, it actually makes perfect sense for Khali to get a short reign.

I find it funny, but I'm certainly not pissed Khali won the championship. He can't wrestle for shit, but he plays his role to near perfection and could massively put over who ever he beats.

He's a transitional champion who will have a very short reign. No reason to worry people.

This is freakin' awesome. This pisses all over my Kennedy idea. Who want's Kennedy as a World Champ? Everybody. Who wants Khali? Nobody. This guy is going to get mad heat. I suspect he's only got the title for a few days, but fuck it.

In my opinion it's better than putting the title on Batista or Kane. There all terrible in the ring. But Khali has mad mic skills. I cant wait for his title defences now. Seriously who else was there to put the title on> Matt Hardy & MVP aren't really ready. Batista, Henry & Kane suck. Kennedy just got drafted to Raw. As did Booker. Mysterio is still injured. Finlay isn't very over.

Main events with WWE's top choices would have sucked anyway, so I'm happy about him being champ. It's not like Smackdown ever headline PPV's anyway.
