This is just bullshit. How come when we have someone decent as champion, ie, Undertaker and Edge, an injury pops around the corner. I just hope Edge gets better quickly cause there is speculation that Batista, Mark Henry or Matt Hardy will be the new champion.

Another option could be Matt last chance to carry the strap, its now or never for Hardy. OR.....
why not MVP??? Let the man drop the Us title tonight also and take the WHC, Hardy could be the US champ and fight Finlay on Sunday. That way, you can still use Kane vs MVP and Hardy vs Finlay is guarante of a good match.

im shocked and very disapointed as I really thought and hoped Edge was going to get the long title run he deserved...it seems the WHC is cursed...everyone that holds it is getting injured..well now that Edge is no longer going to be champ i guess we have to go back to seeing the boring Boretista and thats bullshit..(just think Khali vs Batista WHC Match)I hope the belt to someone else besides him that would be a disaster..maybe it'll be Kane or hell maybe even Rey but right now WWE is suffering from all these injurys especially Smackdown not only Do they have Taker and now Edge and and Mysterio coming back soon but they were ripped off in the draft..Smackdown is really hurting but hopefully Edge will recover and get back to the ring ASAP
My person feeling on this is that this has to suck as it seems like if your are on Smackdown your bound to get hurt. But i doubt Batista will win as he has a match with Khali. My best is that Henry will win it and drop it to Kane. It works from the point that Henry is a heel and kane face. They can have their match at and at Summerslam Batista regins it.

This completely sucks. I really like Edge and I was happy he was finally getting his shot. And after all this it's a stupid Mardi Gras angle that gets him injured. Talk about Karma. Now we'll have a new champion tonight.
I really hope they just give it to Kane. He deserves it and he was the number one contender anyway, just have him win the battle royal, have Batista go up against Khali, and have Kane face Henry or something.

It really sucks that Edge had to get injured. I think he would have been the best World Heavyweight Champ Smackdown has had in a while. But there are two guys that truly deserve being World Heavyweight Champ right now.
1.) Mark Henry- He is the most dominating wrestler on Smackdown. He has been on a tear ever since coming back from his injury. He should be rewarded by finally being the World Heavyweight Champion. He has even beaten the #1contender Kane. He deserves being the WHC.
2.) Batista- He was the last champ and the people love him. He had some good title reigns before. His matches aren't really bad and maybe after all those chances he got at winning the title again from taker and edge maybe now will be his time to regain.

why does edge have to get injured now we have to have either mark henry or batista,no one deserves it more than m.v.p he has worked hard and should get the title and maybe be a double champ (the double champ works for his character to say he is the mvp of smackdown)or drop the u.s title to hardy another person who deserves a title run is kane he is the no1 contender as well and he does win he should keep it for more than a day

Mark Henry going to win the title if theres a battle royal. theres no doubt about it. Matt Hardy and MVP are not ready. Batista is in a feud with Khali. Kane wont win it this way they already made him number 1 contendor and they're gona feel the need to shock us a little rather than just giving it to him plus they said the winner will defend the title this weekend at GAB and Kane will get his shot there. Mark Henry is really the only option. Maybe Flair in a real long shot but i doubt it because they would have no one for him to fight sunday seeing as him nd kane r heels. Batista will likely end up winning it back at summerslam anyway
I could easily see Kennedy making an apperance on SD! and challenge Edge in the same fashion that Edge challenged Kennedy for the MITB Briefcase.
SD! needs superstars PERIOD right now and Kennedy was one of the most over superstars on the SD! Roster, so it would honestly only make sense.

I hope the WWE will play the "open opportunity" game tonight. I won't be able to stand having Batista as champion and I hope Mark Henry won't win the title.

No way that Mysterio wins the World Heavyweight Title. With the report coming back and involving steroids, and with Mysterio's real name floating around as a user, no way WWE wants any more bad press than what they already have.
I don't think they'd give it to Mark Henry. He's too green and can't handle the schedule or the spotlight.
I don't think Batista either. He's stepped on some toes and they had the chance to just give it back to him when Taker was injured. The fact that he didn't speaks volumes.
Kane would make sense to get his match early and win the belt, but do you get the feeling that Kane isn't supposed to? After losing to Khali and Henry, he's not as credible as he should be. I could see him keeping his title match as Great American Bash against the new champ and losing, though.
An interesting option would be to bring back Ken Kennedy, since he was in line to take the World Heavyweight anyway, but I think the WWE wants to push the Cena/Kennedy feud on RAW more. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if they pulled a fast one tonight and did the revenge angle somehow.
You think King Booker was mad that he got moved to RAW then? Imagine how pissed he is now that he could easily be World Heavyweight Champion again!
My 3rd choice would be Ric Flair. Sure he's old, but why not one more run for the legend? It could set up a heel to take the belt at SummerSlam.

He's been Cruiserweight champ, European champ when it existed, and U.S. champ. If he wrestled Kane it would be another face vs. face title match, but Hardy is credible enough to win and hold the belt for at least a month or so.
The best choice would be M.V.P., since he has the charisma and ability to put on quality matches. He already has a feud with Kane going, so moving him into the World Championship match would make sense continuity wise. Would they have him drop the belt earlier in the night to someone else?

Welcome, and if you really hate Cena(like i do), just stay away from Slyfox 696, lol!this makes things really intersting and I hontlesty have no idea who they are going to put the title on because they have so many feuds right now with all the big name players i belive that the only choice that would not put the other matches at the bash in jeporady would be to put the strap on Flair or Kane and have those two go at it at the Bash

Personally I think they should give it to Hardy. Hes been with the WWE for almost 10 years (not considering the few months he was unemployed), hes a very talented wrestler, hes got some mic skills, and I think hes waited long enough to get his shot on top. And he is definately ready for the big one. Plus, I think he and Kane can put on another good feud.

I don't think that the Great Khali winning is such a bad idea. Mysterio isn't ready to return yet. Hardy and MVP aren't ready for the title. Vince probably doesn't think Kane or Finlay can draw as champion and Flair is too old to hold the title. That leaves Batista, Khali, and Mark Henry. I'd much rather see Khali champ over Henry, and we all know what Batista brings to the table.

Is Vince serious? How can anyone think that a horrible wrestler like Khali can draw more as champion than Kane who has more than twice the wrestling skill of Khali. I would have preffered anyone over Khali. Maybe a young champion like MVP or Hardy, or a big guy that actually has some skill in the ring like Kane.
Or the silverback, the king of the Smackdown jungle, the most dominant wrestler on Smackdown, Mark Henry.

Guys, you have to remember, Khali is a transitional Champion at best. He's not holding onto the title more then 48 hours. It's the only way storyline wise they can get Batista back into the title picture. It's actually not a bad storyline when you think about it, just shitty wrestlers. What else are you going to do on Smackdown though?
