Second base, though I could swap to short at any time. I was good in center, too. I had really good range, and a pretty strong throwing arm.
Yeah they get me too.
I was a natural infielder. I could play any 4 positions, and play them well. When I got a little bigger, height and weight, I switched to 1st as my main position. But could still pick it at 3rd, Short, and 2nd.
Lol very nice. Yeah height helps for first, and nice soft hands to pick the throws in the dirt. I always loved the corners. Short and 2nd I probably made my best plays. The only thing about being as tall and big as I was, I was slow as fuck lol. So no legging out home runs for me. Just long doubles and a few triples. But my final year playing Pony I stepped up and kicked ass.
I could never hit as well in games as in practice. I ripped it up in practice. I hit doubles all over the place, scored runs in our scrimmages, all that jazz. I got hit in my first game when I was in 5th grade, and I think it stuck with me. I hit alright, but nothing outstanding.
Oh yeah, getting drilled in the face or head will definitely freak you out. You have to get him back practicing for next year then. Especially in little league you have to watch the ball. I remember getting drilled right in the shoulder blade and you could see the imprint of the ball for a week.
