[Official] ChiHawks David Thread

Very nice 48.7. X, hahaha I'm surprised I didn't think of that. What are your opinions on the artist formerly known as Chris Crocker?

I tried for baseball 2 out of my 4 years. Didn't make either because freshmen year the coaches were dicks, I trained all year, was in good shape, could actually play the field where needed, and I could hit. Sophomore year the guys that made it deserved it more than me. I slacked quite a bit, didn't lift like I should have been, but still could have performed well. Junior and senior year I had to work, and couldn't get around it either. Baseball was my true sport, and if I tried for football I would have been raped hard. Hadn't played in a league, just backyard stuff with friends.

I wouldn't impress anybody now. My shoulder has been jacked for like 2 years, so I would likely need surgery. Then have to get back into baseball shape, well 1st basemen shape, and get my reflexes back.

Yeah they get me too.

I was a natural infielder. I could play any 4 positions, and play them well. When I got a little bigger, height and weight, I switched to 1st as my main position. But could still pick it at 3rd, Short, and 2nd.

I've always been small for my age. I'm not big enough to be able to play first effectively, and I just don't like third. I'm on 5'6 right now, but I'm catching up to everyone. I think I'm hitting my growth spurt now.

Lol very nice. Yeah height helps for first, and nice soft hands to pick the throws in the dirt. I always loved the corners. Short and 2nd I probably made my best plays. The only thing about being as tall and big as I was, I was slow as fuck lol. So no legging out home runs for me. Just long doubles and a few triples. But my final year playing Pony I stepped up and kicked ass.

I could never hit as well in games as in practice. I ripped it up in practice. I hit doubles all over the place, scored runs in our scrimmages, all that jazz. I got hit in my first game when I was in 5th grade, and I think it stuck with me. I hit alright, but nothing outstanding.

Yeah, like from maybe 5th grade to 7th grade I was always just nervous in the box, didn't feel comfortable. It may have been playing with glasses didn't help a lot for me. But then my final season, played with contacts, tore it up. It all just sort of clicked for me.

Oh yeah, getting drilled in the face or head will definitely freak you out. You have to get him back practicing for next year then. Especially in little league you have to watch the ball. I remember getting drilled right in the shoulder blade and you could see the imprint of the ball for a week.

Taking them in the back hurts, too. The worst one wasn't the face, though. It was the shin. I tried to get out of the way, but it drilled me anyway. Oh my brother..

Leg shots suck. I took one to the calf on a cold day when I was pitching. Felt that for a while. I used to be a good pitcher too. I would dominate for little league lol. But getting hit sucks when you are a hitter though. Once you get over that, and getting hit just happens and doesn't faze you much, you are gold. That is what happened with me basically. I just got over being hit by pitches. Contacts helped too but you get the point lol.

So I can't find the music video for it, and I don't want to use the live version.
