[Official] Bret Hart Campaign Headquarters

I am with you guys too but I am a little confused about how this works

Basically, posters have recently being compiling lists of their Top 100 posters, which together will provide the seeding of 256 wrestlers, who will all be in a tournament together. You will have a 'match' between 2 e.g. Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker, and you'll vote for who you think would win, or who you think should win the tournament etc. The first winner was Shawn Michaels, the last was The Undertaker.

I really don't do this tournament justice. Meh, that's the basics.

I will throw support behind Bret Hart for a bit. But I think he is vastly overrated here on this site. Thats not to say he isnt good, because he was. But he's already won the Tag Toruny, and then the legends Tourny. Enough already. But I will throw support his way when it deems so. Except when it comes to Sting. Sorry, if they face up. I will do everything in my power to get Sting over him.

Bret Hart is so overrated if it wasn't for HBK and Austin he wouldn’t have a single memorable feud/match worth mentioning. His days in WCW showed him for what he really was - an average wrestler whose entire main event career was reliant on superior talent, and great booking. No way should his name be mentioned as a possible favourite for this tournament thing you’re doing.

I will not be voting for Bret. I agree with the top two posters. Bret hart is grossly overrated. I can't remember ever seeing a great match out of him. He is a good wrestler but no where near as good as what everyone claims he is.

The match right up there proves how good he is; but there are multiple other matches.

YouTube some of his matches, and you'll see why.

ok thanks I will see what happens as days go by. It seems pretty interesting.

There was no one better at putting someone over than Bret Hart. And there was no one better at doing it while beating the opponent. Even when he won he made his opponents look amazing.

This match that I have chosen is in my opinion the best match in Raw history. Bret Hart had many great title defenses over the years, and this ranks right up there with the best of them. This is the perfect example of what Bret Hart did with so many of his opponents who were average workers, giving them the best match of their career. The story told in this match was amazing, and truly shows how great Bret was.

Shocky's Take: Well, if you could carry momentum from tournament to tournament, then Bret Hart is the odds on favorite to win the third annual Wrestlezone Tournament. While not able to win them all in a calendar year, Bret Hart may win the equivalant of a Tiger Slam with a trifecta of tournament wins. The Harts won the Tag Tournament, Bret Hart won the Legends Tournament, and appears to have his fanbase wound up to take this one.

You got my support. Bret has been my favorite wrestler since I was a little kid and started following wrestling. Vote the Hitman! My favorite Hart match had to be the one with Austin at WM13 and his Ironman Match with HBK at WM12. Here is another one of my favorites....

You know what a number one seed is? This is what a number one seed is:

Bret brought out the best in all of his opponents. You could argue that Austin's best match was against Hart, Owen's best match was against Bret, Bulldog's best match was against Hart, Piper's best match was against Hart, Curt Hennig's best match was against Hart, Yokozuna's best match was against Hart and the list goes on and on. When Vince McMahon says that you are the greatest storyteller of all time and could "have a match with a broomstick and make it look good"(paraphrased) you know you're good. Who's seen more wrestler's in their lifetime than Vince?

Not a very convincing argument at all.

I refuse to join a club where the wrestlers will easily go far without any support. Your support isn't needed and other random posters will make your counterpoints.

I've yet to hear an argument as to why Bret Hart is a better wrestler than Hogan, Sting, Austin, or Savage. So in my opinion he's popular enough to get the support he warrants, but not good enough to go over the big guns in the tourny. So theres no motivation for me to vote for him.

If this was a tournament based on Kayfabe and all that fun stuff, Hogan wouldn't lose, making this tournament useless. But hey, it gives us the option to vote on our favorites, so that is what we do. Which is why we can put guys above the rest. Like 2 years ago, there is no way Shawn Michaels should win a tournament full of some of the greatest.

Disaster? That loss was realistic and plausible
Not really, Kane is the ultimate jobber and usually never wins a high profiled match, nor we he be booked to go over someone like Bret Hart. But hey, that is why we vote.

The problem is though people base it on Kayfabe when it suits them. I mean Goldberg over Cena, seriously?!

But then when it comes to Benoit, all of a sudden its about wrestling ability (even though his is grossly overated).
