[Official] Bound for Glory Thread **KEEP IT ALL IN HERE**

You should have really used the Ask a Question Thread, but I believe its next Sunday at 8pm on The Wrestling Channel, either 8 or 9.

Hmm have you forgot about..

Jazz
Ivory
Trish
Molly Holly

There all still in WRESTLING but not in big promotions..

As for the set up.. It was decent I guess, but they really need a longer show to actually have a nice set up for everything. They did do a good job in that one hour tho.. Im really hoping for a 2 hour show to come soon.

Its hard to say who is the best woman wrestler in the business today. Theres quite a few talented women out there besides the 4 ladies you mentioned in your list and Gail Kim :)

I am overly hyped up for this PPV. I thought No Surrender was so far PPV of the year, and I have full hopes that this will top it...

Being that this PPV is the biggest in TNA's history, I am very much looking forward to it. It should be good :)

Everyone wanted a PPV sub forum, yet nobody even posted anything about BFG in the TNA forum. If someone would have started a discussion of the show you would have done it in here since it's allready stickied to the top of the page. The "biggest" PPV for TNA and no discussion what so ever throughout the show. All the discussion occured before the show, but none during the show

Probably because either noone ordered the ppv or they were to busy watching it.. A PPV sub-forum isnt just for a discussion on a PPV.. It would be on upcoming ppvs, predictions and etc.. It would also make everything a lot more organized in the TNA forum.

Still a discussion of the event is part of it, yet the event has been over for about a half an hour and noone has posted anything about it. Organization is good, but there are people here who order WWE PPV's and discuss them while the event is occuring or after the event; that didn't happen for BFG.

This was the greatest pay-per-view I think I've ever seen in my life of watching wrestling TNA or WWE. It had such a great atmosphere to it and despite having the world series in Detroit on the same night, they still had a packed crowd. Here's my opinions of all the matches.

First match: Kevin Nash Open Invitational X division gauntlet battleroyal for bound for glory.
My opinions: I wasn't sure what to expect until I saw it start and it was a nice surprise. Sort of like a miniature Royal Rumble. I liked some of the match despite A1 (did not belong there) Sirelda (did not belong there) that midget (did not belong there) Norman Smiley (shouldn't be in TNA) all being there. The match was really good. It was the first time I ever saw Austin Starr (Aries) fight. Quick question, did he always walk around like a freak (in a good way) during his matches or is that just his new gimick. Also, I liked the ending. It had me guessing if Shelley would get jealous of Starr and start a feud between the two. And hey, I loved that HUGE pop for Shelley. Solid starter.

Second match: AMW v. The James Gang v. Team 3D v. The Naturals
Stipulation: Four way tag match
My thoughts: I finally realized how much I truly hate watching BG James wrestle. Does he think people like it when he dances like a fool in the ring? AMW looked really sloppy and at some points the Naturals looked good, but a lot of the time they were sloppy as well. Not much action from Kip, and Team 3D put on a great match in the big show like they always do. Despite having three of the teams sloppy (in my opinion) they still managed to put on a solid match (not like I was expecting much from this match. It would've been soooooo much better to see Team 3D v. The Steiners though.)

Third match: Raven v. Abyss v. Brother Runt v. Samoa Joe
Stipulation: Monster's Ball Match
My thoughts: I was a bit dissapointed. It was a grand hardcore match, but I was still dissapointed. I was expecting to see a lot more from these four. I liked what I think was the high point when Joe cross bodied all of them at the same time on the outside. I also loved the crowd reaction to Jake Roberts' DDT. I was going nuts.

Fourth match: Larry Zbysko v. Eric Young
Stipulation: Loser fired.
Winner: I was really angry that this match was taking place, but I loved it that there wasn't anything sloppy because they only had the match last about a minute and I was so happy when I finally heard the words I've been waiting for forever to hear: "Larry Zbysko is fired!"

Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle segment. Awesome.

Fifth match: Senshi (c) v. Chris Sabin
Stipulation: X division title match
My thoughts: I was expecting a great match out of these two, but I wasn't expecting anything that great. That was by far my favorite match of the night, and probably would've stole the show if Sting didn't change his look.

Sixth match: Rhino v. Christian Cage
Stipulation: 8 mile street fight
My thoughts: This started off a little boring, but really picked up at about the four or five minute mark. I looooooved the ending when Christian just pummeled Rhino with a chair under everything that was in the ring. That Rhino piledriver was great too.

Seventh Match: LAX v. AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels (C)
Stipulation: NWA Tag Team title match / Six sides of steel match
My thoughts: This match was a great match. It wasn't better than the ultimate X from last month, but it was still a great match. I was going nuts at that tower of doom and then Styles' cross body off the top of the cage. I was however left feeling a little void when I saw the pin after just a gringo killer. I thought I'd see a kickout. There wasn't enough suspense. It just seemed like it just ended abruptley. I still liked it though.

Main event: Jeff Jarrett (C) v. Sting
Stipulation: NWA World Heavyweight Championship match /Kurt Angle as the special enforcer.
My thoughts: First off, I must say, I was ALWAYS a huge critic of Jeff Jarrett and always said he can't wrestle. However, I grew a little more fond of Jarrett, over the past couple months but still thought he couldn't put on a good show. I also thought Sting was washed up, but I still believed in my mind he'd put on the best fight he could at bound for glory. I must say, Jeff Jarrett proved me wrong tonight when he and Sting put on one of the best classic wrestling matches I've seen in a long time. And I loved it when Angle gave the olympic slam to the referee at the 9 count. I also thought it was great of Angle to get out of the ring and let Sting be in the spotlight after the match. Great fight. I think it stole the show and by the way, I think Sting's new attire is great.

There's never any TNA talk past 10:00. I don't know why. You can't say that it's because there's not enough TNA fans, because that'd be wrong. There's a ton of TNA fans on here.

I never said there aren't enough TNA fans, im sure there are enough out there, originally I wasn't against the PPV sub-forum but after tonights PPV, the fact that the two of you were the only ones to post about the BFG after it was over I'm not sure anymore. Anyway from what it looks like, it looks like it was a good PPV. The Christian match vs Rhyno looks like it was fun to watch, and the X-division matches almost always steal the show. It's obvious they are pushing an Angle vs Joe match. I guess his part in the show was well worth it, seeing him guest ref Sting vs The chosen 1, Double J Jeff Jarret. I hope to hear more feedback from the show.

I'm from detroit,mi and tna was 21 miles from here in detroit in plymouth,mi and when i arrived i'm suprise how many cars was there the stage setup was awesome the place was not completely sold out due to tigers game there were very few empty seats but it was very nice size crowd people from ohio, illinois, and canada came . TNA was very happy with results and said they plan to be back in december or janaury for a ppv . from the start of bound for glory it was hype ron the truth did his song and it rocked "whats up" lol . I must say TNA knows how to run a show unlike wwe I was very unhappy when I went to wwe last event not enough wrestling just alot of cut scenes . TNA didnt stop with the action every match was great TNA is the future of wrestling i believe it might never sell out very big arena's like wwe has done but tna is here to stay and watch out wwe if you dont start writing better scripts u might lose alot of fans cause i myself have not watch wwe in 2 months no lie i just watch tna

I know that you never said there's not a lot. I was just telling you.

I completely agree with you on that one when you say WWE needs to do a better job. I'm the same way. I only watch TNA now too. I was a WWE superfan from early 1998 all the way until a few months after wrestlemania, but ever since TNA came along it reminded me why I watched wrestling in the first place. Not for little laughs at jokes made on the mic, but for actual wrestling. TNA has more wrestling and I wouldn't just decide to stop WWE out of no where to support TNA only if I didn't truly believe WWE is doing something wrong (and in my opinion they are). As for TNA not selling out, it will happen. Trust me. They will sell out eventually. It takes time. They're a small growing company. Just think about how far they've gotten in the past year. Since last year they gained a slot on spike TV on Saturday nights at 10:00. They then went to Thursday nights at 10:00. Now they're going to thursday night primetime and are working on a two hour slot. In the span of one year they've added Christian Cage, The Dudley Boys, Spike Dudley, Sting, and Kurt Angle. Now they're rumored to adding Jericho which I don't think is necessary, but I wouldn't mind it happening. Oh, and they added Russo and have turned Joe into a main eventer.

That PPV was amazing.. I loved every minute of what I seen.. Every match was atleast 4 stars.. Except for Young and Zbysko.. Other then that TNA put on a solid show.. Not as good as Mania, but very close...

TNA is growing fast, but I dont believe there stiff competition for the WWE just yet..

Now they're rumored to adding Jericho which I don't think is necessary,

I agree with you.. They have enough big names now to work with until they get there mid-carders up to ME status.. Instead of waisting all this money on past there prime superstars, they should work with the ones they have, and start advertising..

Best thirty bucks I've spent in a long time.

X gauntlet:
Hell of a kickoff for the event with some really good highspots and definitely good to see Aries used in a winning capacity. The fact that Nash gave the winner a used bowling trophy was even better.

4-way tag match:
Solid all the way around and it showcased a lot of the different talent and let each one have their time to shine. I think that the ability to have four teams allowed them to keep such a kickass pace.

Monster's Ball:
Jake didn't seem like he was looped on meds in this one so his mic work beforehand was cool. It was also nice to see him DDT Raven. Samoa Joe was also awesome and really delivered a series of higher-impact spots. My favorite was the senton into the tacks. Runt is still a nutbar for letting someone throw him into the audience.

Zybysko vs. Young:
I was glad they kept it short. I love EY and think he's got a future ahead of him, but Larry's best days are over a decade behind him and the match was there to serve it's purpose and get Eric over more whilst simultaneously dumping Larry off of TV broadcasts so Cornette can be seen as the only on-air authority figure.

X-Division Title:
This exemplifies where TNA can take the business. They let two guys go in and work their asses off. In the process, they accomplished more in 12 minutes than most other wrestlers can do in 25. The pace was built to an explosion and the selection of spots was intelligent and really kept the fans wanting more. The finish was solid and it wasn't completely predictable, which is also a plus.

Eight Mile Streetfight:
I was skeptical about how they were going to play this one out. I wasn't expecting a wrestling clinic for this, and the guys didn't fail me on that one. Although slow at times, there were several awesome spots that really did the match justice.

Six Sides of Steel:
I have been a huge fan of AJ since his WCW days, and he just keeps upping the stakes. The leap from the cage was insane and I haven't seen anybody fly from one with that much grace and beauty since the Superfly himself was taking names and kicking ass. The brutality in the match was intense (especially where the foreign objects were concerned).

World Championship:
I'm proud that Sting got his ass back into decent enough shape to wear the title again (even if it's probably for a short time). The new outfit was nifty. Aside from some slow points and a botched spot, the scripting of the match was great. Especially Angle assuming the referee spot via Olympic Slam.

Overall I was very pleased with the PPV and thought it was a perfect example of why I tune in every Thursday. It also reaffirms how much TNA needs a two-hour slot to tell the kind of stories they need to tell. This wasn't my favorite TNA PPV of all time, but it is definitely in the top five.

I thought it was in Detroit. And even so, who cares if it isn't? It's just another name for a hardcore match. And judging by that smiley thing bowing to John Cena on your profile I can tell you don't know much about wrestling.

HAHAH bro you dissed the hell out of him.

This ppv was awesome. I loved it. Im happy i ordered it. iT WAS DEFINATELY WORTH IT my favortie match was the Steel cage. HUGE LEEP by styles. In a monsters ball match arent you supose 2 be locked up, if so how was samoa Joe outside waiting for angle?

Here are some notes from TNA BFG.

Post-PPV TNA News And Notes In The New "Bank Shot" The Bank Shot

THE BANK SHOT: THE DAY AFTER BOUND FOR GLORY
TNA News and notes from the huge weekend
By Bill Banks

I’m sitting here at midnight in my hotel room in Orlando, Florida writing this as I watch the end of the Dallas vs. Giants Monday night NFL game. The TNA staff and stars arrived here throughout Monday • tired and aching, but excited - following last night’s “Bound For Glory” Pay-Per-View.

Several TNA stars and staff (including myself, Kevin Nash, Shane Douglas, Jay Lethal, Simon Diamond and Lee South) had quite an interesting flight from Detroit today. Our Northwest flight was packed, along with plenty of screaming babies, one directly behind Shane Douglas and I that wailed like an angry banshee for the entire four and a half hours. It got so bad that Shane had to leave his seat to get away from the newborn and the kid kept everyone awake. In addition, over Atlanta a female passenger apparently had some major labor pains and we had to make an emergency landing at Hartsfield. The fast 15-minute descent was not fun, nor was the hour and a half we had to sit at the airport waiting to take off again after paramedics left the plane. Obviously, everyone on board was hoping everything turned out OK for her. Like the pilot said afterwards • “Sometimes things change thanks to mother nature”. In case you were wondering, yes, late-pregnancy women shouldn’t be flying, but apparently she had a family emergency she had to rush home for.

But, we’re finally in Orlando for Tuesday’s TV tapings.

To say that there is a buzz among everyone in TNA over “Bound For Glory” would be a huge understatement. Everyone in the company was pleased with it and we hope the fans that spent their money to buy it enjoyed it as well. The arena was packed, the Detroit fans were insane and the matches were top-notch. I don’t think we could have hoped for a better Pay-Per-View. It was a total team effort and the entire TNA roster should be proud of the matches they had. Personally, I’m looking forward to watching the replay when we get back to Nashville. I was ringside filming the event, and it was an event I’ll never forget. I’m not schilling a replay • it’s the truth.

One of the matches I’m looking forward to catching again is Jarrett vs. Sting, which more than “lived up to the hype” in my opinion. We witnessed the evolution and revitalization of Sting, along with a thrilling bout between the two TNA stars for the NWA World Heavyweight Title. Sting taking Jarrett’s guitar shot and fighting back to win the gold with the Scorpion Deathlock was one of those moments that will stand out in TNA forever.

We’ll hear from Sting this Thursday night on “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV.

One interesting side note • for those of you that bought the new “Sting: Return Of An Icon” DVD, you probably noticed the jacket Sting wore to the ring on Sunday night was featured on the DVD. It was the first ring jacket Sting ever had in his career and he decided to bring it back for the bout. Very cool stuff.

The rest of the matches at the event • top to bottom - were tremendous as well. I also thoroughly enjoyed the Six Sides of Steel match, the 8 Mile Street Fight and The Monster’s Ball match. Everyone on TNA’s roster came with their A+ game on Sunday night and it really showed.

A fun part for me came before the event even went on the air. While fans filed in, Jeremy Borash hosted a sort of “Welcome to Bound For Glory” party inside the arena, with several TNA stars going out to meet the spectators in person, including Petey Williams, Shark Boy, Eric Young, Norman Smiley, Christy Hemme and SoCal Val. We also threw out a ton of TNA merchandise to the fans, including the new Mortal Kombat game for Xbox.

Friday’s fanfest was also a fun event and I wanted to thank everyone that attended. TNA staffers Andrew Thomas and Karl White shot video for me throughout the fanfest which I uploaded to the website during the day, which are still available to view on our website and on YouTube. There’s a ton of footage left over which will be included as bonus material on the upcoming “Bound For Glory” DVD, including full interviews with Team 3D, Kevin Nash, Rhino, Eric Young, the TNA Knockouts and Don West and Mike Tenay.

One highlight of the fanfest was when TNA President Dixie Carter made a rare, special appearance to thank fans for attending “Bound For Glory” weekend and supporting TNA Wrestling.

Tuesday night in Orlando we’ll have our “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV tapings and then it’s back home for everyone before we return to Orlando in two weeks.

One last note - Kurt Angle’s new t-shirt will be hitting ShopTNA.com in the coming days. It was a hot seller at the fanfest, along with the upcoming Best of the X Division Volume 2, which goes on sale October 31

Seems like the PPV was better when you were there, tho it was awesome from what I saw.. I personally cant wait to seeing Sting on Impact.
