[Official] Bound for Glory Thread **KEEP IT ALL IN HERE**

I dont think the Compuware Sports Arena holds 15000 people. Isnt the maximum occupancy aorund 5000. Im totally unsure here, but I just remember from their first house-show, which also took place in that arena. Im pretty sure I remember them saying 5000 in attendance during a global impact segment on impact. And the event was a genuine sell-out. I think there is no doubt the event will be full-house. I mean if they sold it out for a house-show, a PPV must draw more.

And just as a note, nothing to do with wrestling but... what is it with baseball? I so don't get that sport. It is just so bleeding boring. I have never been able to watch it. And to be honest I have never seen a sober person watch and enjoy it. If you watch baseball without a beer in both hands, you realise how unbearable it is. Sorry to any diehard baseball guys out there, but I just don't get the sport.
Baseball isn't like basketball or football where you can just watch it without being a die hard fan of a team. Also, you really need to understand the game (or in some cases think you understand the game). It's really fun to watch when you talk with eachother about what the manager should do and talk about the history of the game where scenarios were exactly like the scenario you are currently watching. It's really boring to those who don't watch it regularly, but if you watch it regularly you'll become hooked. However, if you don't watch baseball from when you were a little kid you kind of can't just start watching it at an older age.

Yes, but it was nice to see Norman Smiley and Shark Boy get the hell knocked out of them. There's nothing more I could've asked for. I hate those talentless losers.

Shark Boy actually has potential but I havent seen any potential out of Norman. Anyway. Alot of promos that were pretty good. The only good match was the ME. But how can you blame them. They only have an Hr to hype the biggest even in their history. I liked it. Gail kim getting slammed was awesome. I havent seen a diva get slammed in a while.

this is TNA, there called "Knockouts" here, which is fitting in this case, cause a knockout got knocked the fuck out, talk about ironic.

As for Norman Smiley, he is about the most ******ed wrestler in TNA today, does this guy even have an offensive move, besides that gay little dance he does?

I know I might catch heat for this, but honestly...I'm glad that someone did something like that to Gail. Sorry, but she bugs the dogshit out of me. Trust me...I didn't like her in WWE, so no its not just since she's come to TNA. She just has the attitude of "I know I'm that good and you aint anything" about her and it irritates me.

Unfortuantely I didnt get to see the show straight through, cause hubby was watching Game 7 of Cardinals/Mets (well so I was I...I love baseball). So I'm gonna catch the replay tomorrow night (and dont forget...its on early then later that night they have the special on)

First off, Plymouth Township is a suburb of Detroit. Its sorta of like here in Salt Lake City. When wrestling comes to town, they dont use the big sports center, the Delta Center in downtown SLC, where the Jazz play. They hold them at E Center, which is where the hockey team plays and technically is in West Valley City, which is...a suburb of SLC. Trust me...when they advertise wrestling coming, they say SLC.

However...I'm sure that when TNA booked the arena, no one could have predicted that the Tigers would be in the Series. Was the chance there? Yes. But was it guaranteed they would be? No, cause of too many variables. However if the arena is only 5000, it's possible they will have sold out, cause people would have known bout TNA before the series. But buyrates will...honestly are a toss up at this point. Will TNA be able to beat out the Series? Honestly I'm not sure that Sunday night NFL football could beat the Series.

As for what's up with baseball, I for one do like it, in fact its my favorite sport (just my favorite team sucks big time). For someone who doesn't watch much sports, its easy to figure out. For someone who's really into it, then you get into stats ands how to play certain people, knowing who will usually try for a homer in one situation, but the next try for a bunt. Its knowing all the little nuances that makes it fun for me. But...as I said, its also a game that a newbie can catch onto very quickly.

You do know that wrestling is fixed right. She was hurt, but it was set up. And by the way, Gail Kim is probably the best woman wrestler alive right now.

Gail Kim is probably the best woman wrestler alive right now.

Hmm have you forgot about..

Jazz
Ivory
Trish
Molly Holly

There all still in WRESTLING but not in big promotions..

As for the set up.. It was decent I guess, but they really need a longer show to actually have a nice set up for everything. They did do a good job in that one hour tho.. Im really hoping for a 2 hour show to come soon.

i'm sure they will sell out on the day of the event because people are still ltrying to get ahold of tiger tickets if they dont they either gonna watch it at home or go to tna wrestling and tape the game cuz i decided to go to tna wrestling since floor seats are $65 and tigers upper levels cost $120

Even with that list, she is still the best all around wrestler alive, its just that in WWE they wanted her to do bra and panties matches, and in TNA there is no competition. Gail is an amazing athelete...one who could seriously hold her own in the x division...

im in australia so i had to download this weeks impact... wow it was an awesome show. the x-division as someone said should have longer matches, even though the lethal n senshi match was short it was damn well exctiting to watch. we get the tna p.p.v here 12 dayz after it airs live there. but i will of course download it hehe it is wrestlemania of tna. ANGLE HOLY CRAP!!! when angle came out i was acting like a little 10 year old mark who likes cena. anyways impact was a freakin great lead in. im excited about the p.p.v i keep thinking what will stings new look be wells i gotta wait hehe. thats all i got to say for now that is lolz. aights cyaz- add me if u want to talk about wrestling im one of the biggest fans in australia, wrestling fan 4 life

No disrespect to the other female wrestlers, but Gail Kim is extremely well-schooled in submission holds and other unorthodox maneuvers. She was a breath of fresh air in the WWE amidst all the "bra & panties" and "French maid" matches. Of course, WWE decided to go in a different direction and placed more emphasis on appearance than wrestling skills, though Gail certainly isn't hurting in the former department. TNA is planning a women's division, and I think we can expect Gail to get the chance to show what she's capable of when the time comes around. WWE can keep Candice Michelle and Maria - TNA is where the action is.

Gail Kim is a very good wrestler and was good to see her wrestle in TNA and win :), but i doubt she be in many more matches as TNA dont cater for this area too well where as in WWE they do, even tho they have some silly matches for women.

With the addition of Angle to the TNA roster i think that this is the push that TNA needed to make it in the big time, but is Angle really fit enough to wrestle, only time can tell. Can anyone tell me if the headbutt that samoa joe received from angle was a real ? cause it looked as if joe was pissed

I think this may have potential to be PPV of the year. although I doubt it will be as Good as No Surrender(ANGLE ANNOUNCEMENT) but hey anything is possible. In my opininon this will be a PPV that noone will want to miss and with so much going on I expect at least 1 ****star match. I am excited to see what role Kurt Angle plays in the Jarret vs Sting match as well. Last year Monsters Ball in my opinion was a MOTY canidate(do not expect that this year.) I also am excited to see what role Jake "The Snake" Roberts has in thiss match, and I do expect a high spot from Runt somewhere in this match. I do wish that they would have replace Samoa Joe in this match with someone else(do not know who though because they don't have hardy or sabu anymore) and put Joe against Angle. I am praying for a Scott Hall return as I have heard he wants to get back into wrestling. The thing that intrests me the most is that they say "a star will be born" so I can only guess what they have planned. Six sides of Steel looks good and should end the feud between these two tag teams. I do not think that Team 3D and the naturals should be in the same match since they have both been on a roll as of late. I am expecting a AMW break up with the absence of Gail Kim. I really hope that Chris Sabin wins the X-Division Title but I seriously doubt it. Overall it looks Like a great PPV. I AM STARTING TO GET PUMPED UP.

P.S. I am not just a TNA fan. I love WWE just as much and if the Monday Night Wars are revived I would want WWE to win also. But I do agree with Eric Bischoff In the sence that competion is nesasary for any buisness in order for it to be at its best and the same applies to wrestling.

I am overly hyped up for this PPV. I thought No Surrender was so far PPV of the year, and I have full hopes that this will top it...

I'm excited about every T.N.A. P.P.V. Every match tend's to have meaning unlike WWE P.P.V's where they only tend to focus on the top 4 matches of the card.

I disagree with you when you say that No Surrender was the best pay-per-view of the year. It was really good, but Lockdown was possibly the best pay-per-view I've seen in my life.

let's see...I've only been following wrestling nearly 30 years, and worked for a local indy fed for bout 6 months (in the office--before you ask, I'm a girl). So do I know if wrestling is fixed? Gee...maybe :shifty:

So yeah while the MOVE might have been planned, I'm pretty damn sure that the injury wasn't. I can honestly say that creative wouldnt sit around saying "we're gonna have you get hurt".

MY point was that the move looked awesome, and given that Gail has been nothing but a trampy looking **** since she came into TNA, AND I've talked to people who have met her in person who said she has what I call the "Paris Hilton" attitude (I know I'm all that and you aint nothing attitude)...let's just say I think she needs to take a few weeks, sit at home, and maybe rethink her attitude, and remember that its the FANS that made her what she is. I didnt like the idea of them bringing her into TNA--and hell she's only wrestled a couple times since she got signed (with Sirelda and all), I just dont really see a point to her.

And dont think I feel this way bout women wrestlers in general...I dont. And I dont feelt his way bout valet/managers in general either. Just..something about Gail rubs me the wrong way.

I really dont understand the need for all thse BFG threads when all these questions could have been asked in all the others..

This is why we need a PPV sub-forum for TNA.. If anyone agrees we should write a petition in feedback, since I dont think one persons opinion counts.. Till then ...

This episode was pretty decent. The last few minutes is what made the whole thing. I can see Russo's influence on the product as a whole because of the booking style (Norman Smiley in football pads again) and it's plainly evident that he needs two hours to book a show. Each of the matches that went down was too damn short and they made Jay Lethal lay down for Senshi inside of five minutes?!? Talk about a waste of talent. I'm going to remain open-minded for a few weeks to see where Russo is taking all of this, but if it continues in the fashion it is, I'll be pissed to no end. Smiley can't wrestle to save his life, and aside from the "big wiggle" his novelty runs out in about ten seconds. I'd rather watch two matches per episode than what I saw on Thursday. The crowd seemed put off because of the lack of time given in the eight-man match. Russo better not book it like it's for a WWE crowd, or the diehard fanbase that has been keeping TNA alive will bail out on the product. Angle delivered a hell of a stiff headbutt, by the way. Joe is insane for taking it and getting right back up to kick Angle right in his bald melon. Good stuff.

The arena only holds like 3,000 people and there are like only 100 seats or less still available, so it will probably be aTNA record cuz its twice the size of the impact zone.

Another one of these guys... No we dont, and even if someone involved with this Forum knew of a Live Stream, its against our rules to post Links to it. WZ does a Text PBP of the PPV, but thats the best we can offer you.

o its kewl either way im gonna watch it thats not the only reason i joined here so im not another one of those guys.
