SmackDown! is MY Show

Dont just write what you think the matches are going to be. Give reasons.

Currently, I only have 3 main matches that I can think of that would possibly be solid for the event..

T.N.A. Championship: Kurt Angle v. Sting:
Reason: T.N.A.'s version of Wrestlemania, so you gotta have their version of Triple H. v. John Cena, right? Sting & Kurt Angle are the two most over guys in T.N.A. & by far the two biggest names/faces there. Originally, I wanted it to be Kurt Angle v Jeff Jarrett, but rumors claim that to be scrapped. And ultimately, in my personally opinion.. this match.. is NOT a dream match to me. Sting is looking old in the ring, & Angle would seemingly destroy him.

Full Metal Mayhem: Abyss v. Judas Mesias:
Reason: Possible Match of the Night canidate? Maybe not for its technical talents, but instead for its "Holy SH*T!" foreseeable-ness. How can the first meeting between these two NOT take place here, & furthermore, how can it NOT be an Anything Goes match where everything will be legal?!

Tag Team Grudge Match: Team 3D v. Steiner Brothers:
Reason: Again, T.N.A.'s version of WM has to have a star-caliber Tag Team match. I'd rather see a Turmoil match, but it looks like I'm gonna get a form of that at the next (Sept.) T.N.A. p.p.v.. so I still like this & look forward to it. Add a gimmick, possibly a Table elimination match?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Assuming on the rest.

Grudge Match: Rhino v. James Storm:
Reason: I think they'll play out the Rhino/off the wagon storyline passed the current p.p.v. into this one. I see Rhino getting the win & over-coming his personal issues.

Ultimate X: Christopher Daniels, A.J. Styles, Chris Saban, Kazarian:
Reason: I have no clue how many would truly be added, but why not throw in all the main stars of the X-Division & if the Championship isn't on someone other than Angle, then have this be for the X-Division Championship.

Wow last year TNA seemed so promising. Angle had arrived in TNA, Russo hadn't started to make all the titles worthless, Kevin Nash wasn't wrestling. And Austin Aries was going to become a Starr. What a difference a year makes. This is just another PPV. All TNA PPV's are pretty good. There's always a good match along with a truly abysmal match. It's just a shame that TNA's main PPV of the year, there W.M. is just another show.

Really nice card there Will and I have to agree with a lot of it as i see TNA main event for the TNA Championship being like this years WM23 as Angle and Sting will be tag team champions sad but true. But for the Abyss vsJdas match i dont see that being Full Metal Mayhem i see that more as the annual Monster Ball Match that TNA has but this year just being a two person event match.

I also expect they will have a Tag Team battle royal with team like LAX, MCMG, VKM and others in with the winners getting a title shot maybe like the next Impact.

I do see A Samoa Joe vs Cage match up where Cage will officially lose by pin or submission. Be nice if it was a #1 Contender match but it wont be. Should be a nice rematch from No Surrender.

Your ultimate X seems cool but i see no Kaz in the match i see Lethal in that match as Champion.

But for the rest of the card meh like Jake said their WM type of PPV is just another show.

This Pay-Per-View won't be nearly as good as last year's. Well, the main event will probably be better. Hopefully, we won't see Angle/Joe XIX. It's a good fued but this is TNA's BFG. I see either Angle/Jarrett or Angle/Sting. My dream title match would be Joe/Styles but we all know that won't happen. I doubt we'll even see a half-decent X Division match this year, if the X Division will survive more than another month that is. Even if it was at full strength, it'd have difficulty competing with Sabin/Senshi. As for the tag teams, I'd like to see LAX vs MGM, but it'll probably be some piss-poor shit like 3D/Pacman. Not good TNA, not good. Still, better than WrestleMania will be. Probably.

I think it's pretty much given that the main event will be Angle vs. Sting. Mainly b/c we've seen Angle/Joe done to death in the year Angle's been in TNA. And their only other choice is Angle vs. Jarrett, and Jarrett been away far too long for them to build it up properly. So Angle/Sting is all they have.

Here's the card I see:

Main Event: TNA World Title Match- Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting (with Brock Lesnar in attendance, if he signs)

Semi-Main Event: TNA Tag Titles Three-Way Elimination Match- Kurt Angle/Sting (c) vs. The Steiner Brothers vs. Team 3D (I see this b/c I just can't believe for the life of me that TNA would be so dumb as to put the tag titles on a one man team like Team Pacman. I know they are pushing for another Steiners/Team 3D match, and by inserting Angle/Sting and making it a three-way elimination they could save a tag title change for PPV. Also it would come down to Steiners and Team 3D)

Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage- It will probably be a stipulation match, seeing as how it will be a rematch from No Surrender. However I would love it if Joe created his own world title(like Taz did in ECW), and defend it here against Christian.

Tag Team #1 Contender Gauntlet Match: Triple X(Elix Skipper and Senshi) vs. LAX vs. MCMG vs. VKM vs. Tomko/Styles vs. Cryme Time(under another name, cause you know TNA will sign them) - the reason for this match is so they can start to rebuild the Tag Team Division.

Abyss vs. Judias Mesias w/James Mitchell- They're building towards it. Don't be surprised if Judias debuts this Sunday at No Surrender and cost Abyss the title.

X Division Title Match: Jay Lethal(c) vs. Christopher Daniels- I see them building Triple X up as more than just a tag team, but as a Stable to be reckoned with.

As for the rest of the card, your guess is as good as mine.

My UPDATED Predictions:

T.N.A. Championship: Kurt Angle v. Brock Lesnar:
Reason: Originally, I suggested that it'd be Sting.. but with Lesnar now almost more than ever being the "Former World Champion," & with W.W.E. sucking a lot right now with the steroid scandal.. this match is almost a lock to happen. Wrestlemania 19 rematch, at T.N.A.'s version of WM.

#1. Contender's Triple Threat: Christian Cage v. Samoa Joe v. Sting:
Reason: Again, originally I had Sting getting the actual Championship shot.. & it could still happen.. but, if the Lesnar/Angle match takes place.. this would definately be a great quality match to be under it. Joe could be in the doghouse with T.N.A., so I see him taking the fall. The question is, would Lesnar over-take Angle, become T.N.A. Champion.. then face Christian & be the first to give him, his single's loss? (Again, I can't see Joe doing it at Sunday's p.p.v. - No Surrender)

Grudge Match: Chris Harris v. Dustin Rhodes/Black Reign:
Reason: Honestly, I'd rather see a Harris/Rhino v. Storm/Rhodes match, as it'd be a nice Tag Team match, with two mid-card solid grudges.. but, if they opt to go with two single's.. of course this'll be Harris' return to get revenge.

TNA World Championship Match: Kurt Angle vs. AJ Styles
I like Kurt being a champion again, but AJ should have been the first TNA World Champion. I think these two could put on a great show.

X-Division Title Ultimate X Match:Jay Lethal vs. Fallen Angel
The only rivalry for this title, but that's good because they have put on a good series of matches. Plus, Ultimate X is Angel's speciality.

TNA Tag Titles Match: LAX vs. MCMG
This is definetly a classic in the making, if it were to happen.

Let's see, I'll comment on the latest verion of the card:

Kurt Angle vs. Sting

At first I wasn't too sure about this one but it's grown on me. Sting's past his prime but he's still not awful, and with Angle probably carrying the momentum of the match this could be a TNA instant classic, and not one of the Christian Cage variety. Can't wait to see the Ankle Lock vs. the Scorpian Death lock.

Christian Cage vs. Samoa Joe

I thought their match already this year was very enjoyable, and this one shouldn't be that different. I'd prefer to see them facing off against other people though, they don't exactly suit each other's styles. Maybe if Joe can lengthen it out a bit.

Abyss vs. Judas Messias

A definite to be absolutely fucking brutal. Messias looks as if he's going to be an impressive in-ring force, and Abyss already is. These two guys locking up in a no DQ match will shock the wrestling world, that's for sure.

LAX vs. XXX

Hopefully this won't just be filler. I'm not too bothered about Skipper but the other three people in this match are absolutely incredible. This should be the title match, not the Pacman/Styles & Tomko shit, which I'm not even going to bother mentioning.

Christopher Daniels vs. Jay Lethal

Not bad, but not the best they could've done for this either. Both are fantastic competitors, but Daniels gimmick has become a bit lamer, and Lethal's has become a lot lamer. I'll have trouble taking this seriously, no matter how good it is. Especially when it's got Sabin/Senshi to compete with.

Well more or less the whole card has been made, and I think they are adding gimmick matches to make the card look decent. Last year's BFG kicked ass but here is my early predictions for the show.

TNA World Championship
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting

Its a hard choice here, both have a mixed chance of winning. I'm going to go for Sting, it would end the show on a good note with Sting becoming World Champion 2 years in a row at BFG, so yeah I'll go for Sting.

Winner: Sting

TNA X-Division Championship
Black Machismo (c) vs. Fallen Angel

I absoluetly love the Black Machismo character, but also Christopher Daniels is one of my favourites in TNA, I suspect they are going to screw Lethal again. So it looks like its a win for Daniels.

Winner: Christopher Daniels

TNA Tag-Team Championships
Team Pacman (c) vs. Tomko and AJ Styles

The sooner they get the belts of Team Pacman the better.

Winners: Tomko and AJ Styles

Ultimate X
LAX vs. Triple X

Absoluetly pointless match, hasn't even been built up and the stipulation tries to help it.

Winners: Triple X

Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage

Had match of the night at No Surrender, wouldn't be surprised if it was at Bound For Glory. I think Joe will win and end the feud with Cage.

Winner: Samoa Joe

Tables
Team 3D vs. Steiner Bros.

They've been having a meh feud, it could have been better, but it will end with Brother Ray's ass right through a table.

Winners: Steiner Bros.

TNA Women's Title

Don't know who is in it, but rumour is being said that they are bringing in Former WWE wrestlers for the match, so I'm going to go for an original.

Winner: Gail Kim

Fight For The Right

Again another gimmick match that isn't needed, a simple Battle Royal would do, but this is WCW 2.0, so....

Winner: Rhino

Fight For The Right:I think James Storm as he has put on great matches with Harris and Rhino and deserves a title shot.

Knockouts Gauntlet:Gail Kim is the only woman worthy as she has been the best woman in the company since she debeuted.I would like to see a return of Trinity in this match.

Steiners v 3D:I think Steiners need revenge as they have been beat down by 3D and winning a tables match would be great revenge.

Joe v Christian:Joe to end the unbeaten streak.

LAX v Triple X:Either way it should be great.

Team Pacman v Styles/Tomko:Styles/Tomko just to bring the belts back prestige.

Lethal v Daniels:Matches on Impact! have been great. Imagine what a PPV match between them would be like. Lethal Retain.

Angle v Sting:Angle as I don't think Sting can hold a title anymore.

Prediction:Mesias v Abyss v Rhino v Jarrett:Monsters Ball.

My Predictions:

TNA World Title Match
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting

I hate Sting. Always have. I didn't want to see him in main events when he was in his prim. So I certainly don't want to see him in them now. It hurt's me to say it but I think he's going to win.

Should be a good match. Most of Angle's usually are. But it's not a match I want to see.

TNA X Divison Championship Match
Jay "Black Machismo" Lethal (c) vs. Christopher Daniels

Can't wait for this match. Should be excellent. I hope Lethal keeps the title. But I just don't see it happeneing.

Tables Match - 2 out of 3 Falls
Team 3D vs. The Steiner Brothers

I couldn't care less, but I predict a victory for Team 3D.

"Must be a Winner" Match
Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage
Special Guest Enforcer: Matt Morgan

Morgan will be an unwanted distraction in this match. I expect him to be the main focus. With TNA's terrible director most of the action will be missed instead we'll have frequent close ups of Morgan. I can't see Joe overcoming the odd's in this match.

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match
Team Pacman (c) vs. AJ Styles & Tomko

Only a fool would bet against A.J. winning this match. Oh yeah and Tomko.

Ultimate X Match
LAX vs. Triple X

This should be awesome. Not sure why it's a return of the Ultimate X match, considering there was one a few months ago. I really don't care who wins. Doesn't matter to me. But I predict LAX.

Monster's Ball Match
Abyss vs. Rhino vs. Raven vs. Black Reign

Rhodes & Raven shouldn't be anywhere near this match. TNA shouldn't be promoting them on the biggest card of there year. Abyss wins.

Fight for the Right: Reverse Battle Royal

Stupid match. I predict Roode to win.

Knockouts Gauntlet

Jackie Moore.

Overall an average card. There will be some good, bad and ugly. But this show proves that when it comes to TNA's Wrestle Mania they are a long way of from the number one promotion. Not in match quality but in hype. This could be just another PPV. Whereas W.M. is something to get excited about, even with a shitty card.

You know, it's so aggravating. This is a wrestling forum, yet, people feel like that if they watch TNA, they aren't loyal to the WWE. I just don't understand this thinking. It's not a WWE board, it's a wrestling board, why not watch something because it isn't what your used to, it's still two guys in a ring.

Oh well, end rant.

My Predictions:

TNA World Title Match
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting

Unlike Jake, I love Sting. I think the man delivers each and every time he is out there. Angle vs. Sting, I would love to see this match, because I really think this will take MOTN, if not, be a candidate for match of the year. You are dealing with two professionals, that understand exactly what this company needs to move it to the next level. I think this match is going to be awesome.

This match is tough to call, especially if there is a backstage war brewing like the net is reporting. You get the feeling that if Jarret gets his way, that belt comes off of Angle, and I really think if Carter pitched to Angle to have Sting win, Angle would play ball. I think Angle wins though, because Angle is the future, not Jarrett.

TNA X Divison Championship Match
Jay "Black Machismo" Lethal (c) vs. Christopher Daniels

Tough call. This should be a very good match, if not great. Lethal is so damn young, but he's such a joy to watch in the ring. Daniels is proven in X-Division matches. I don't see the point in putting the belt on Daniels, but I think it happens.

Tables Match - 2 out of 3 Falls
Team 3D vs. The Steiner Brothers

Scott Steiner has shown spurts of rejuvenation this year. Even so, this match is a good match on name value, and name value alone. They are trying to establish the tag team division, and I understand it, so i'll deal with this match.

"Must be a Winner" Match
Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage
Special Guest Enforcer: Matt Morgan

Joe should win, but i wouldn't be shocked if he does the J.O.B. This should be an excellent match, with an unneeded Matt Morgan being involved. Something tells me Morgan could possibly be a sleeper Christian Coalition member.

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match
Team Pacman (c) vs. AJ Styles & Tomko

AJ and Tomko all the way. They work well together, and I'm digging the goofy sidekick gimmick with AJ.

Ultimate X Match
LAX vs. Triple X

Should be an excellent matchup in my opinion. Hernandez will be a bit out of place in this match, and it'll be interesting to see how well he does. Hernandez is just going to kill XXX with his strength. I think we are going to see Homicides coming out party in TNA in this match.

Monster's Ball Match
Abyss vs. Rhino vs. Raven vs. Black Reign

Ugh. I appreciate Rhodes and Raven, but honestly, it's time for these two to hang it up. Raven is just a wash up, and Reign, while I appreciate the attempt at a comeback, I don't think it'll work. This match will be carried by Rhino and Abyss. Abyss is in the middle of a big push, and there is no way he goes down here.

well, I haven't watched TNA in a while... mainly due to my working when it airs both nights. I'm able to keep up, but it's been a long time sice I've actually watched. And no, I don't have TiVo... but I do have similar capability on my computer... but it hasn't stored the files correctly for a while and I haven't had the opportunity to really look at it. anyway, yeah...

TNA World Title Match
Kurt Angle (c) vs. Sting

Sting would win, but with Angle's influence, I think we'll see him walk away with the title.

TNA X Divison Championship Match
Jay "Black Machismo" Lethal (c) vs. Christopher Daniels

I completely dig the Black Machismo character, but I think Daniels will win.

Tables Match - 2 out of 3 Falls
Team 3D vs. The Steiner Brothers

why is this still going on? and what kinda crappy gimmick is this for a tag match?
Team 3D... only because it seems as though the Steiners have been booked stronger and dominating.

"Must be a Winner" Match
Samoa Joe vs. Christian Cage
Special Guest Enforcer: Matt Morgan

Matt Morgan wins. :-)
Samoa Joe wins, Morgan beats him down afterwards to give Joe a new feud.

TNA World Tag Team Championship Match
Team Pacman (c) vs. AJ Styles & Tomko

AJ Styles is stuck in tag division. At least he has gold now.

Ultimate X Match
LAX vs. Triple X

Triple X. Hopefully TNA doesn't book it to make LAX look bad. Maybe they'll form a new faction, LAXXX.

Monster's Ball Match
Abyss vs. Rhino vs. Raven vs. Black Reign

Abyss...

Fight for the Right: Reverse Battle Royal

Roode... about time for a mini-push that goes nowhere for him... again.

Knockouts Gauntlet

Jackie Moore.

Bound for Glory was, in my mind, the best PPV for either brand so far in 2007. And here is why:

Ultimate X Match: This was a fantastic opener! Elix Skipper cross-bodied Hernandez off the steel trusts, forming the X above the ring, Senshi was Border Tossed over the top ropes and onto teammate Skipper, Homicide connected with a sick neck-breaker of the X and Senshi hit that Stomp with (i forgot which one) tied up in the turnbuckle! Outstanding opener, although I thought that it could have gone on longer.

Fight for the Right Match: I thought the gimmick for this match was stupid. It should have been a normal 16-man battle royal instead of racing to enter the ring. Rikishi (Junior Fatu) made the begining of the match boring but once he was eliminated by Sabin, it became a decent match. I liked it when Kaz (i belieive it was) was spine bustered to the outside the most. I give this match 1 and a half stars because the gimmick was stupid in my opinion and it was slow-paced in the begining with the match surrounding around Fatu.

TNA Tag Team Championship Match: This was an incredible debut for Creed. I'm glad that Adam Jones did not compete in this match. Instead of AJ Styles joking around like he tends to do a lot now, he went out there and put on one heck of a match. AJ hit a Shooting Star Press on all three members was easily the best moment of the match. Ron Killings had a great match too along with Tomko. I thought it was hilarious when Killings rolled up AJ Styles and the money went flying, resulting in the referee attempting to steal Pacman's money! LOL. Overall, great match that delivered past my expectations.

X-Division Championship Match: Great display of the X-Division in this match... but what did we expect. These two phenominal superstars have had classic one-on-one matches in the past months on Impact and I came into this match highly anticipating the outcome. It could have gone either way but it ended with a Lethal Combonation off the second rope! My favorite part of the match was when Daniels scoop slammed Black Machismo straight on the guard rail, OUCH!

Tables Match: Team 3D and the Steiner Brothers were all over the building and the fans were on fire! Scott hit a Frankensteiner off the top rope through a table of Brother Ray, the Dudleys put Rick through a table with a 3D and it ended with a top rope Bulldog through a table! I thought it was funny when they botched placing Scott Steiner on the table and it automatically cracker, I'm sure that TNA will edit that out of their DVD once it is released. 'Who, who, who' the heck that this was a bad match? Cause it was entertaining and I enjoyed watching it.

Gauntlet Match (Knockouts Championship): Gail Kim is definately the perfect Womens Champion for right now. She has worked hard since arriving in TNA and is deseriving. I didn't really like this match and I'm not a big supporter of the Womens division in TNA, though it is 10 times better than WWE's (not for looks, but in-ring talent). I noticed during the show last night that when Amazing Kong was eliminated, her top fell off for a split second and I was immediantly blinded (LOL). I just thought I should add that for those of you who may have noticed that as well.

Christian Cage vs. Samoa Joe: This was one of the best matches on the card! Spectacular ending! After Matt Morgan chased AJ Styles and Tomko of Christian's Coalition backstage, they had me fooled since I thought that Christian would remain undefeated after hitting the Unprettier. That spin kick to Christian when he went for the top-rope move was amazing and Joe prooved that he is truly one of the best wrestlers in TNA when he put Christian away with a Mustle Buster and signature chokehold! Great way to end Christian's undefeated streak in Total Non-stop Action Wrestling.

Monsters Ball: I came into this, thinking it would be an okay match since I am not a big fan of Dustin Rhodes or Raven but I was prooved wrong. I liked this match because of the elbow drop by Raven off the balcony and through the two tables, Rhino missing the gore on Abyss and being sent through that wall and the Black Hole Slam on both the thumbtacks and glass! Countless weapons were introduced in this match including chairs, tables, a shopping cart, kendo sticks, trashcans, tacks and the glass! I hope Judas Messias heals quickly from his injury so we can see a Battle of the Monsters in the near-future!

TNA World Championship Match: I still can't get over the fact that Angle hit a 450-Splash on Sting! Although it was botched, it reminded me of Brock Lesnar springing into the air with a Shooting Star Press in his WWE Championship match with Angle at Wrestlemania 19 (although that move was botched as well). Great way for Sting and Angle to put on a match that the TNA fans will have memories over for years to come. I hope that Sting signs an extentional contract with TNA so he can continue to dominate the brand. Angle and Sting are truly two of the greatest athletes in the wrestling buisness and I, along with other fans, would like to thank them for giving us our moneys worth and putting on a great match!

That is my review over TNA Bound for Glory 2007. I am mostly a WWE fan, but decided to order the show and was not dissapointed. If you have access to PPV at home or a friends house and have the money, you should definately consider ordering the replay. Or wait until the DVD comes out. Overall, this was PPV of the year to me. Thanks for reading my review and I hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did creating it.

i enjoyed watching bound for glory, it was tna's best ppv so far, some people think bound for glory doesnt level up to wrestlemania and thats true but after watching it was wrestlemania quality, it was better than last years bfg

kurt angle vs. sting - this main event was good, everybody was probably expecting angle to retain the title even i did but tna did the opposite which is a good thing for ppv because we want to get shocked from the outcome of the match, the ending of the match was very good, sting took out nash and angle with the baseball bat and then gave a scorpion death drop to angle, pinned him and won the title, it made sense to me

monsters ball - i did expect abyss to win but if it was raven, reign or rhino who won, i wouldnt have minded because overall it was a good match and abyss was over as a babyface so it kind of was obvious that he was gonna win but it was bloody and a good match, i think the match originally wouldve been a five man monsters ball with judas mesias at the fifth man but it was a shame he couldnt be part of the match

joe vs. cage - again i knew joe was gonna win by submission but it was a better bout than the last two they had, the question is where do joe and cage go from here?

knockout gauntlet - i either wanted amazing kong, gail kim or jackie moore to win the title because they are the most experienced in the match, the inexperienced like christy hemme didnt deserve to win and be a part of the match, i hope they dont give her the title otherwise she would suck the title even more like it does now but its a good thing kim was the winner because she's the top woman of the womens division in tna

steiners vs. 3d - i knew steiners were gonna win, it was an ok tables match but what im wondering is when is 3d actually gonna beat the steiners, it would have been at slammirversary but scott got injured and animal took his place, so it really doesnt count as 3d beating the steiners even though rick competed and got pinned

lethal vs. daniels - good match, knew lethal would win but if daniels won the title wouldnt have minded either but it wasnt your classic aj styles vs. daniels match now, was it

styles and tomko vs. team pacman - it was a good thing styles and tomko won especially for tomko because he has two tag team title gold on his shoulders and team pacman werent gonna get anywhere with the titles whether pacman competes for the team or not because obviously pacman couldnt wrestle and the partner luscious creed aint tag team champion type because mostly of the attire he was wearing, his wrestling was alright

fight for the right - well at first i thought whoever wins this match would get a shot at the title, so i picked chris harris to win but then i found out theres a tournament on impact which continues the fight for the right so it didnt matter then if eric young won the battle royal but i can tell you he will not win the whole fight for the right tournament, thats for sure but it was a good battle royal and good outcome for the match

ultimate x - good match, some good high spots but it wasnt your classic ultimate x match, i did expect it to be the best match of the night though but like i said it was still a good match
