[Official] Bitch about the lack of Fan Slam Columns/Pics thread

Aw bless you all. Did your fiancee fancy NorCal as much as you do?

Haha, anyways. It looked boring from what I watched on WZ, but I saw like 3 parts so I presume that would have been. Better when you're there?

I have no answer to this aside from the fact that she though he was awesome.

Absolutely. What you also would not see on camera is the work that went in. Also, I interacted with most of the talent and worked the rooms a bit to help out - running bottled water, etc. Little BS jobs to feel like I was contributing. I will tease this much before I write my whole thing on it - Kevin Kelley is one of the nicest wrestling people I've ever met, and he's just as well spoken at these events as he was on these boards.

It sounds like so much fun! Wish I could've been there. What did you guys like best?

Flames Out
Dragon

We wish you'd have been there too, ED, but it'd have been odd for us to show up at your door and explain to your parents why two 20-something strangers were picking up their teenage daughter to drive to Totowa! :)

I cannot speak for Norcal, but hanging out with Kevin Kelly was great. The Tomko shoot was fantastic, and th developmental debate was facinating.

another dissapointment from wrestlezone. The whole month they have been announcing the show and promoting it as if they would video stream the show (or at least a big part of it) LIVE and all we got was an interview with bill demot. Worse was that even then the host wouldnt ask him the questions being asked by the fans in the chatroom. To top things off, one of the hosts said "screw all those guys" when talking about people being let down. Now, is that a way to talk to your audience? i dont think so.

Hey, glad to hear the guys that went had a great time. We appreciate that the live feature on the site didn't go as well as planned, but the majority of that was out of our control. Chris, Nick, Eric and Kevin all did a top job with what they had in front of them. Also, we still have the clips that didn't air live that will be available on the website soon.

In reference to the above post, you got far more than an interview with Bill DeMott. Sure, maybe that's all you saw, but you would considering this happened at 5.10pm ET, 10 minutes AFTER the advertised finished time. We also had segments with Kevin Kelly, Al Snow and Jerry Jarrett. Now sure, it's not what we advertised, but it was far more than you say. Taking questions from the chat was done with other interviews, and it was just the case that Chris couldn't see the chat to ask the questions. I'm guessing you don't actually know who Chris is by the fact you refer to him as 'the host', so you wouldn't know his or Nick's sense of humour. He was joking by saying 'screw you' at the end. This was also indicated by laughter.

I think some need to realise this was the first time anything like this had been tried. Not just on WZ, but across the IWC. Sure, you get fan slams all the time, and sites do cover them, but we wanted to be a little different and allow fans that couldn't get there still feel a part of the actual event, and I think we did that.

Not sue how much you actually watched, an obviously I did not see everything you did, but the event itself was significantly more than what you are referencing. It's easy for me to say, because I was there live, and I respect that. But I did speak to Chris and Nick, who said in no uncertain terms tht EVERYTHING they filmed would be archived, and a lot of it was quality material.

Chis and Nick do have fun, sarcastic senses of humor. TRUST ME, they didn't actually mean "screw those guys" literally. Those two did, however, work their asses off at the event trying to make sure the video was quality, the feeds sounded right, the talent was in place, etc.

Finally, I am not really sure what you mean by "another disappointment" by Wrestlezone? What other disappointments do you speak of?

Nice to see an admin saying more than 5 words without threatening someone. I think I like this guy.
