If Edge comes onto Raw and wins the WWE title like this, which seems to be the insinuation, all it will prove to me is three things:
1. That Raw has admitted that the stars it has right now on it's brand mean absolutely nothing, and they have to rely on a Smackdown guy to be the face of their program.... Again. Edge coming onto Raw is basically Raw's creative throwing in the towel, and admitting that they can't portray compelling storylines with the wrestlers they have in the main event.
2. WWE has absolutely no intention of respecting the draft, and keeping wrestlers from switching shows. Not that it's really that big a deal, I suppose, but it just seems like it's entirely convoluted.
3. That the WWE does not respect the fan's intelligence, nor do they really seem to care all that much about what we want. The Edge/Vickie thing, while still remaining married, seems to really have no substance to it anymore. Both are involved in their own respective storylines, and both have strayed far from one another.
No, I for one wouldn't buy into Edge coming to Raw. I have a different fate set out for Raw. Something that involves.... Well, this man....
I mean, realistically, this man is always responsible for carrying Raw through it's darkest of periods. And even though his act is a bit hackneyed, people still watch this man. He still brings in merchandise, and for that matter, the kids will still follow what the man says. He's had about four months without a title, and while that seems an irrelevant number, it just seems like they wouldn't keep the strap off of him for far too long.
How will he wind up with the belt? I have no idea, honestly. Maybe he's booked in a simple match with Batista for the next Raw. I mean, he did beat The Big Show tonight. It's not like it's a stretch to deem him the number one contender, aside from Randy Orton, that is. And hey, it would give Randy something to complain about, as he was looked over for his rematch.
The other thing I see happening is Orton getting a rematch with Batista, and deciding to play an injury angle (again) with Batista going away for a while because of Orton. But even that doesn't make much sense... Why would you have Orton lose, if that were the case?
The last thing that comes to mind is perhaps Batista will try to give it a go, and try to wrestle with this tricep. That, or the dirt sheets have highly misreported his injury. But either way, I really have no clue how the WWE is going to portray this scene.
