OK. This might sound a little crazy at first but here me out.. I think it's Mick Foley. Mick Foley has experience in the GM roll and would get a lot of hype from the crowd. The GM emails saying things along the lines of trying to be Edge's friend, and last night at HIAC asking edge to apologize on raw. This reminds me of the Mick Foley/Edge storyline a few years back. Also the fact that Vince doesn't seem to look too kindly upon ship jumpers yet he is advertising Foley's book. And then there's the message from the GM saying he does not just want to come back and guest host but he wants to entertain the fans in a way they haven't been entertained in years. There is no one in the history of the WWE who can duplicate Foley, and there certainly isn't anyone right now to provide that 'foleyesque' brand of entertainment. I think it's great too with the Nexus story going one since they like to jump people and beat them up. No one takes an ass whoopin like Mick Foley. And I'd love to see him take a Nexus beating and get back up with a smile. Here's an article tho:
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/480485-mick-foley-and-the-wwe-could-the-hardcore-legend-be-returning

Also I know this is really a crazy stretch/fantasy/wish, but how cool would it be if Mick came back and Nexus runs riot on every Raw and continuously leaves Foley battered and beaten until Foley is forced to bring in an enforcer to take out Nexus and run them out of Raw. Then each week you will see Nexus members fall 1 by 1 after backstage beatings from the anonymous enforcer until only Barrett and Cena remain who cut a promo in the ring demanding Foley to reveal his enforcer and have him face them in the ring only to have Foley come out and remove his shirt revealing it to be Cactus Jack and attacks them. Lol I kno its a crazy dream but I think that would be an awesome storyline. Maybe even and Edge, Foley vs Cena barrett match and an epic Foley/Heel Cena feud seeing as it'll take more than 2 shoulder blocks, a back drop, a diving fist, and a super firemans carry to pin Foley(who won't submit to the STF either).

Idk...Just saying..What do you guys think?

...is 5 months away. Nash and Sting are "done" with TNA. (I put the quotes because of TNA's desire to blur the lines dealing with the IWC, which is brilliant.) BUT, if they truly are done. Nash and Sting need to definitely be inducted into the WCW HOF. Say what you want about Nash being overrated, but the two definitely deserve it. Also, Nash needs to be inducted by HBK, which could turn right around and be inducted into the HOF by Nash, though they would go with HHH. Anyway, not only could that be great, but Nash could (longshot) be revealed as the Raw GM. Think about some of the GM's traits:

*Hating Bret Hart
*Being a supporter of Nexus (the true, new NWO)
*Hating Chris Jericho
*Saying that his/her identity revelation would change everything. (Technically, Nash would have been calling things while being with TNA.)

WWE has a big chance here to not only make a brilliant move with the GM role, but to make a WCW themed HOF its biggest HOF.

Thoughts?

I kind of like your idea about Nash being the GM. His Mic skills are still there and it would come out of no where. However the GM thing will be revealed by Royal Rumble. Nash isnt coming back becuase he isnt a draw for the WWE. HOF is fine for both sting and Nash but nothing more.
I love how others have commented that they would love a sting vs taker match but lets be honest most of the fans today dont know sting. Sorry IWC but dream match would draw the same amount of interest that Bret vs Vince did. That is very little.
Like most of you i grew up big sting/taker fans, but their styles are no where close to each other. Sting vs any big man was always horrible, his best matches were against flair, steamboat, and even luger. His matches vs vader, nash, ron simmons, and even hogan were terrible. Honor sting, nash, and goldberg with the HOF this year.

I agree that they should be inducted into the HoF for they did in the WCW, and also for Nash's stint in WWF - he was a former champion and gave some good matches with guys like Shawn.

However, I don't agree with Nash being revealed as the mystery GM because it would make WWE look stupid to the IWC, that they allowed a guy from TNA to be the mystery GM and call the shots while he was in TNA. The mystery GM, in all probability, is going to be Stephanie McMahon.

The mystery GM has to be unexpected, and a person who gets a good reaction from the crowd - it can't be Stone Cold or Rock or HBK because they are already under movie schedules or personal commitments and can't do a full time WWE job right now. It can't be Cole himself because it would make this already boring and overdone mystery GM angle look even more stupid, and would hardly get any reaction other than a boring sigh. It can't be JR because he was recently "punished" by having his voice removed from the WWE intro video because he gave a TV interview at UFC (Lesnar vs Carwin). But in all fairness, Stephanie will get a good crowd reaction, since she would be returning after several years and many people out there find her to be hot. Think about it, the GM is a person who definitely is not ready to be on screen right now but will be after some time. Stephanie is on maternal leave right now, and when she returns she will be revealed as the GM.

Everybody knows that HHH has got an executive role backstage in the WWE as an advisor to Vince, and its a known fact that HHH/ Steph are going to run the company after Vince is gone. Giving Steph the Raw GM role will be the next step towards that....

As for the HoF inductions, I think that the night(s) when the Undertaker, Rock and HBK are inducted will be the biggest HoF. Agreed that Nash should be inducted by HBK, or by Scott Hall/ Hogan provided they are not under TNA contract at that point. As for HBK's induction, perhaps HHH will do it but I'd prefer Bret Hart to do it since now they've grown up and made amends in reality.

I would like Nash as GM of RAW but would Vince, he seems to be hating on everyone who comes from TNA to WWE at the moment *see Critian and Kaval... ¬.¬* even if they have potential BUT, and this is a huge fully rounded BUT, if Nash was working with WWE whilst at TNA this could start a HUGE war between both the businesses if done right and I don't think that would work (WWE PG and TNA not PG... so... pfft) unless WWE takes off this Bull Shit PG crap (even though I don't mind that they have it, it gets more money for them).

But I would rather have Triple H as GM, heel GM ;P, and occasionally beat the crap out of a few people =].

I like the idea that Nash could appear as the GM, but in current circumstances I don't think it would work.
Although it would echo him suddenly jumping to WCW all those years ago, TNA isn't near the popularity that WCW was at the time, so the shock factor would be very limited.
If Nash were to return to WWE anytime soon, I would prefer to see him in a talking capacity and not a wrestling one. He had his time and served his purpose as a wrestler, but he's a good talker who can read an audience and manipulate them however he sees fit, so he's versatile too.

Out of curiosity, who would be the best person to induct Sting?

*Being a supporter of Nexus (the true, new NWO)

How does the Nexus deserve to be called the new nWo? The pedigree/credibility of the wrestlers involved couldn't be more different. Where's the biggest star in the history of the sport (Hogan) or another former World Champion (Nash)? Hell, where's even an established veteran (Hall, Syxx, Hennig, etc)? Even the theme and mission of the groups are different; one is a bunch of unproven rookies banding together to try and take respect instead of earning it, the other was established stars looking to take over a company in every way possible.

Why can't the Nexus simply be a new stable? Everyone's desperation to compare everything to something from the past is part of why wrestling is having its struggles right now. But hell, if you want a WCW stable to compare the Nexus to I can give you one. Try the "Natural Born Thrillers." But please, save the nWo comparisons for a more deserving posse.

The idea of Big Kev being the GM would be a more of a shock factor than the typical bringing back of someone like Steph, Shane, or former superstar. His wrestling days are over and he has the perfect personality to call the shots. Too bad i don't see it happening though. I believe they will eventually go with Cole as GM.

I really don't see Kevin Nash coming back to WWE because of several factors:

a) The dude is 51 years old. We're not going to get great matches out of him mainly because he was never a great worker to begin with.

b) Can someone his age with his old injuries even handle a full time WWE schedule? He's nowhere near good enough that WWE would just let him slide on the scheduling.

c) What can he possibly lend to the product if he's not wrestling?

It would be incredibly stupid if he were revealed as the secret GM. I'm not calling you stupid, and I can certainly understand for the shock value and all that, but think about it - the guy was employed by the competition. There's no way Vince is going to be able to legitimately explain that he somehow had someone under contract with a company he won't even mention on the air sitting there as the secret GM this whole time. It just doesn't make any sense whatsoever, and what we don't need more of are storylines that don't make any sense - TNA's already doing a good enough job on that front with Jeff Hardy.

Honestly, great idea. Nash being GM would not only be different but it would be unexpected. I like what you said about him being behind Nexus because the group is very NWOish....that makes sense. Also, Triple H should be returning sometime soon and I'm sure the fans would love to see him and Nash interact....I'd kind of like Nash to be a face but if he's been backing Nexus it's a given he'll most likely be heel...Anyway, you mentioned Sting but didn't say how he'd play out in this...It goes without question in my mind that he needs ONE WWE run in his career....though I'm sure he'd love to go down in history as the biggest name in wrestling to never work for Vince McMahon....I'd love to see a Sting/Undertaker feud at Mania next year....Save Cena/Taker for the WM28 for Taker's swan song.

I don't find it stupid, It would be great, Vince could reveal that he had an inside man with the competition. It being Nash. I think it would be great, and have that shockfactor for everyone. I mean Vince is helping promote Foley now so he's not hating on everyone right now. Kaval won NXT 2 why let him win if he hates him. Christin won the ECW title not longer after coming back, that was good for Christian. Now he's hurt so we'll have to see what happens when he returns.

I seem to think Vince may be helping TNA a little. In exchange to allow Sting, Nash and Foley join the HOF next year. So TNA lets them off until after wrestlemania and then "suprisingly" they return. With that I can see Nash, sting, Foley being inducted next year. Or atleast Sting and Nash for a WCW themes HOF. But Foley was Cactus Jack in WCW before he came to WWE.

NExt years HOF:
Sting
Nash
Hall
Luger
Steiners
Ron Simmons
Madusa

I only agree that Sting and Kevin Nash should be inducted into the hall of fame. These guys deserve it. Kevin Nash had an amazing career in both WCW and WWF. Call him overrated, but the man is just awesome. Not in TNA though, he was way too old to start from there. And when he came back in 2002 to WWE. I don't agree with the fact that Kevin Nash should be the mystery GM. It wouldn`t make any sense. And as someone said above, why whould he call the shots during his stint in TNA? And he should just stop wrestling all together. But I would love to see both men inducted in the WCW Hall of Fame next year. Same with Scott Hall......yes you heard me.

Savage and Warrior are who I am hoping for this year. Fuck Sting and Nash they arent at those two guys level in my opinion. Just because Macho banged Steph and the Warriors crazy ...c'mon now. Move on and put those guys where they rightfully deserve to be.

A "former" superstar, what the hell...any GM people want is consisdered a former superstar, Bret Hart, Nash, HHH, etc. Fact is i'll be disappointed if it wasn't a former superstar as the GM.

Nash being GM? Not a bad idea, if he were to be aligned with Nexus. I know he's old, but he doesn't have to wrestle much. They could also throw CM Punk into the mix and all of a sudden, you have a stable with pretty much the same pedigree as the nWo at its best (Barrett, Perfect Jnr, Nash, Cena and CM Punk).

Here are my choices for the GM. Each depends on how long they'll wait to reveal him/her.

Triple H -- For much of the same reasons noted in previous posts. It's a way to get Hunter back on TV in a role mildly new and 'shocking' (but not really). And considering he has always kind of had the legit GM role, it's nothing no one knows about.

Jim Ross -- Come on. Cole's "VOICE OF THE WWE" rants and heel turn are all pointing to a Jim Ross return to an authority role. JR would probably have the best pay off out of any GM possibility. And if you wanted to really look DEEP into it.. the Danielson promo on Cole from NXT, Edge's JR comment to Cole a few weeks back... the seeds are planted.

If they decide to reveal it 3 months down the line... You've got to look at Sting or Kevin Nash. Sting apparently won't be re-signing with TNA, and Nash has said he's done. Both things could change, but if I'm Sting....a GM role is easy money and gets you in good with the top company in the industry.

I think these 2 men are not crazy choices due to WM27/HOF in Atlanta.

Dream booking would have Sting be the GM, somehow screws over/runs into Taker.. there you have the dream match at Mania. Sting's Career (ha) vs Taker's Streak/Career. There is money in this, especially if promoted correctly (and I don't see why not).

It's gotta be Zack Ryder, think about it he's been with Edge in backstage promos for weeks, he said in one of their latest promos that Edge hurt his feelings when he called him a tool, and then on Raw when Edge interviwed the GM it kinda' confirmed it. The GM said "You hurt my feelings, why do you gotta hate yo?" So the word "yo" is something Ryder would use, and then the GM said he hurt his feelings too? I'm guessing this will lead to be Ryder, hopefully.

It could be Zack Ryder, but it probably won't be. It would of been funny if Zack followed Edge to Smackdown to try and be his friend etc. It didn't happen, and so this mystery GM is still a darn mystery. I'm predicting it's Cole, he's been acting more and more angry lately. It's like he's becoming a different and more important character, not just a heel, but maybe the Raw GM?

If it is Cole then I'm guessing maybe King is in it too? Maybe King is sending Cole the mails secratley? But I doubt it is Cole, because he has standed up many times while the computer has bleeped.

I wonder if Cole has a mobile phone, he may send emails to the laptop etc. I don't know, just a wild guess about Cole being the Raw GM.

I don't think the wwe would give the on screen GM role to a joke character. Hell, I'm certain. Why? It would really make the wwe look unprofessional and a big joke.

It should totally be one of the former WCW guys who could be put in this year's HOF, like Sting. But how awesome would it be if the GM was GOLDBERG.

Think about it, the GM beeps after one of the championship matches gets ended on a DQ or something and he says "YOU HAVE TESTED MY PATIENCE LONG ENOUGH" of something like that and Goldberg's music hits and he just rushes the ring, throws the heel back in the ring, declares the match be restarted and the face does his finisher and that's it.

Goldberg jackhammers him just for the hell of it.

It's got everything Vince would want, it would get massive reactions, it could branch off into a lot of interesting storylines and WM ends with a face winning the title and the crowd completely awake and going wild (not like WM25 where no one cared about the HHH vs Orton match after HBK vs Undertaker)

Just an idea though, probably won't happen.

Sometimes i catch myself wondering if they even really have someone even chosen for the role. For it to be Michael Cole would be ridiculous, think about it he sends emails to himself to a computer 2 feet away from him??? I hope thats not the case. Other then that their isnt really anyone that has been put out their as a definite possible. I was hoping when Edge started questioning who it was and why he was being screwed that the answer was just around the corner. And then they move Edge to Smackdown and we are back at square one in terms of revealing who it is. It has become quite annoying actually.

You know, the whole GM thing is getting a little bit tiresome. However, it just seems to be a part of the show enough now. It is just like another superstar on the show. You fully expect to her those beeps and then Michael Cole saying his little piece that makes him internationally hated. The thing that is keeping this thing going is that we now expect to hear from out mysterious GM. Just like seeing John Cena or Randy Orton every week, the mystery GM is just an element of the show and that is perhaps the best thing to happen with the angle.

When the reveal does eventually come, then the pay-off will be substantial because of it. People have forgotten about the Raw GM because it has become a case of habit now.

Really though, I am getting annoyed with it. The thing that annoys me is that there has literally been no progress in this angle since Edge left Smackdown and even he could not have been further from the truth. His little feud with the Mystery GM was entertaining but didn't actually go anywhere and had no point other than to ease Edge back into being a face again. As I said though, nothing is developing in regards to the GM. We are no closer to finding out who it is and that is beginning to bug the shit out of me.

Just end it already.

Know why I still love this anonymous GM idea? Because it's generated 50+ pages of posts on this forum. That means you guys can't stop talking about it and the WWE has done their job.

In addition, this angle has made Michael Cole one of the biggest heels on the show, as well as one of the biggest heel-commentators of all-time. And it's only just begun.

As long as all of you keep talking about this, the angle will never die. But mark my words; once the WWE teases some kind of reveal, you'll be fixated on your televisions and sitting on the edges of your chairs waiting to see who's been pulling the strings this whole time. The only thing I fear is it would be a let-down similar to that of TNA's "They" revealing... while most of the promotion's hardcore fans will enjoy it, many outsiders will voice their negative opinions and feel slighted and disappointed.

Only time will tell, I guess.
