Dont just write what you think the matches are going to be. Give reasons.

Coming off a very strong pay per view at Bound For Glory, and with WWE's ratings shaking a little bit, TNA has a tremendous chance to take their efforts to the next level with Genesis. While BFG is often known as TNA's version of Wrestlemania, Genesis has some great history to it as well, almost like a SummerSlam would.

One match I will be looking forward to seeing is AJ Styles and Tomko vs. The Latin American XChange. Off an impressive Ultimate X win, the LAX is chasing in their newfound face-status against another team on the verge of being a top tier twosome with Syles and Tomko. Scoff all you want, their combination of Styles' speed and technical prowess with Tomko's strength reminds me a bit of The Hart Foundation. Just throwing that out there. I don't see Styles and Tomko dropping the belts for a while, as the gold they have is a great antagonizing force to Christian's ego after his forst clean loss in 2+ years.

Another feud that has been teased for sometime is Robert Roode vs Kaz. Assuming they are both knocked out of the #1 contenders tournament (maybe each other's fault?) I'd love to see this feud come to a one-on-one match. The X-Factor in this is the recently conflicted Ms. Brooks, obviously interested in Kaz and sick of Robert Roode. I realize the "annoyed girlfriend" angle has been done TO DEATH (see Mike Knox / Kelly Kelly and The Miz / Kelly Kelly...hmmm...) but the fact that TNA has drawn this out so effectively, combined with Roode's ability to play the arrogant, obnoxious heel to JBL levels, makes this one to watch. I also feel these two would have an impressive, storytelling match. I see Roode winning to keep him in the TNA Title picture, though not clean.

With Ms. Brooks time occupied with Robert Roode, I expect we wait one more PPV before seeing Gail Kim vs Ms. Brooks. As such, I wouldn't be shocked to see the last two women in the Gauntlet Match from BFG, Gail Kim vs Roxxi Leveaux. I am oddly attracted to the female Papa Shango, and despite what a waste I think Gail Kim has been (great passion, but she's a blown high-spot waiting to happen almost as bad as Kurt Angle off the top rope) I'd like to see this match. And even though I'd love to see Christie Hemme involved, she has no heat after getting squashed by Awesome "Look at my 200-pound boobs" Kong.

I will post more thoughts as I have them, but here's three to think about...

Isn't the main event going to be Eric Young vs. Sting? Young won the battle royal and Sting is the champion. I doubt Eric Young will be number 1 contender for long. I also see the Abyss vs. Judas Mesias match happening if Mesias is no longer injured.

Forgive me if I'm wrong but I see Kevin Nash maybe making a return to the ring at Genesis. He was invloved in the Angle & Sting match so he may feud with Sting for the belt? or even Angle. I hope I'm wrong since Nash is very good but I think it is a possibility.

I with you on this Irish as you can also say the same thing about LAX as Hernandez is the muscle and Homicide is the technical high flyer. So really these two teams match up so well. I think the match that they will have Genesis will be good but i can see some kind of DQ finish. I think this feud will be stretch out for a while as I see the MCMG battling Team 3D for awhile after what happened at BFG.

See i know Eric wont that fight for the right, but that just was a seeding type of thing and in the end i expect to see Angle or Nash fight Sting for the gold at the PPV or all three instead. though if they dont i see Robert Roode being as it looks like they in a way want to push him.

Because of how the 2-out-of-3 Falls Tables Match concluded last night, I am predicting that Team 3D will look for retribution against Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley of the Motor City Machine Guns.

Oh and replying to what the_man asked, Sting may not be defending the championship against Eric Young. The stipulation of the reverse battle royal last night was that the winner enters the tournament in the coming weeks on Impact as the #1 seed. So basically, #1 will face #8, #2 will face #7 and so on. I'm really looking forward to seeing Shelley vs. Sabin since they were the #6 and #3 eliminated.

DX528, great observation! MCMG squaring off? That will be something else.

I won't be shocked to see James Storm walk away with this one. He's absolutely a top heel and has put together some amazing matches. Storm vs Sting would be a great event to watch!

The main event for TNA's Genesis PPV next month will be Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash vs. Sting and a partner to be named, with whoever gets the pinfall is the new TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

Stupid imo. Another way for then to change the title. wasn't there a similar match like this a few months ago? Rhetorical question. I know the answer.

Eurgh, wouldn't be surprised if Kevin Nash won it. There has been rumours that he's going to get back into the ring and maybe not a push. Exactly what TNA don't need. He's great backstage and on the mic but in the ring, he's never been great and he's atleast 7 years past it. I also don't understand why they had Sting's title reign so short, his last one only lasted about 4 weeks. They apparently wanted BFG to end on a high note with the face winning, but having Angle win it days later just makes sure that TNA is starting to be turned into Total Nonstop Angle

I'm expecting Abyss vs. Black Reign, since Abyss hasn't got Judas Masias (sp?) to feud with since he got injured. Also, Motor City Machine Guns vs. Team 3D because of Shelley and Sabin's interference at BFG?

I think a triple threat match for the women's title will take place between Gail Kim Roxxi Laveaux and Awesome Kong will take place due to Kong's domination of the division so far and if u read the spoilers you will see why I thought of Roxxi. Also I think Abyss vs Black Regin in some odd weird gimmick match like a first blood or a Six sides of steel. Team 3D vs. MCMG so Sabin and Shelley can defend the honor of the "X Division" why isnt Jay lethal defending his division is beyond me but whatever! Tomko and AJ Styles vs LAX vs Stieners for the TNA Tag Titles (again check the spoilers). Kaz vs Christain Cage Fight for the right Finals! Samoa Joe vs Robert Roode due to all the tension they had and James Storm vs Eric young and I THINK JACKIE WILL TURN ON STROM!

I think Sting will win the title back, due to Scott Hall interference. Christian Cage and Sting will battle it out for the title at Turning Point, probably in a Loser Leaves Town match, with Sting losing and putting over Christian in a huge way.

shop of horrors, is just a hardcore match, except its going to take place in black reign workshop, so thus the name, so you can expect to see some nice new little weapons, and some pretty good hardcore spots thanks to abyss. As for a match i want to see is Robert Roode Vs Samoa Joe, both good athletes with a win to more then likely go to joe, but it would still get roode over.

My Predictions:

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kurt Angle & Kevin Nash vs. Sting & Mystery Partner

This stipulation was done several months ago, it didn't work then. Can't they just promote a 1-on-1 match? To be honest I couldn't care less who the mystery partner is. The match has Nash in it. So if Angle loses it'll be him who does the job. The title is worthless. I'll go with Angle pinning Sting.

X-Division Championship Match
Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt

Could be good, so long as the stupid gimmicks don't get in the way. But alas they probably will. I hope Lethal retains.

World Tag Team Title Match
Tomko & A.J. Styles vs. The Steiners

Another match I couldn't care about. Styles is good. But he aint that good. No way can he make this better than average. They'll retain.

Women's Championship
Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Angel Williams vs. Roxxi Laveaux

Gail hopefully.

Kaz vs. Christian Cage

At least this match should deliver. I think Christian is great on the mic. But I think his in ring work is poor. I want Kaz to win. But I don't feel there's a chance in hell of him winning this.

Abyss vs. Black Reign

There's is something wrong with TNA if Abyss doesn't win. My prediction: Reign wins.

Samoa Joe vs. Robert Roode

Still not sure about Roode. I just don't think he'll be able to cut it as a main eventer. He reminds me of Jarrett. Not enough menace to make it as a truly successful heel. Joe wins.

MCMG vs. Team 3D

Shelley & Sabin deserve better. I expect 3D to win quickly.

Overall a poor looking show. Not looking forward to anything in particular. Although I expect next months PPV to be good. I think I see where there going with a lot of there feuds.

There was a poll on wrestlezone a few weeks ago asking how are you going to watch the tna ppv one of the options were live internet feed. i came a cross a site that had that and can't remember the url. I was wondering if anyone knew of one?

My Predictions:

TNA World Heavyweight Championship Match
Kurt Angle & Kevin Nash vs. Sting & Mystery Partner

I like TNA but this match just seems real pointless for me and really just a way to have Nash in a match that he don't have to really wrestle and debut the mystery partner. I hope Angle don't lose like they did at BFG as that was pointless. I can see Angle pinning Sting and feuding with the mystery partner afterwards.

X-Division Championship Match
Jay Lethal vs. Sonjay Dutt

Could be a show stealer if they give it enough time, but some how I can see Team 3D attacking them during their match or a decent match with Lethal winning and celebrating with SoCal Val.

World Tag Team Title Match
Tomko & A.J. Styles vs. The Steiners

Why have this match on the PPV much would rather had tomko and Styles take on LAX instead of their Impact match. I dont see the Steiners winning so Styles and Tomko retain.

Women's Championship
Gail Kim vs. ODB vs. Angel Williams vs. Roxxi Laveaux

Kinda pointless to have the 4-way match much rather had Roxxi and Gail in a 1 on 1 match as that has been promoted more but Gail will win unless VKM helps Roxxi out.

Kaz vs. Christian Cage

Should be a high spot match, but i see no way Kaz winning this as Christian has been out of the title picture for awhile and i see this as a way to get him back in it.

Abyss vs. Black Reign

Abyss should win but wouldn't surprise me if Regin wins with Mitchell's help.

Samoa Joe vs. Robert Roode

I hope Roode can deliver as I think he has enough to become a main eventer down the line but this match will tell if he can hang with the big boys or not...though i still see Joe winning.

MCMG vs. Team 3D

Least the guns are getting a match on a PPV, but I just dont see them winning this round as this feud will last for awhile so 3D will win

Overall kinda sad PPV though hopefully that matches can deliver though just seems like more a PPV for setting feuds to go into the new year with

It's over! All the speculation over Booker T is now passe. Whatever. While ther were no title changes, in MY OPINION. this was one of the better PPV's of TNA's existence. The thinly veiled debut of Booker T was well worth the wait. Kaz came into his own tonight in his 1 on 1 with the "Instant Classic" Christian Cage. MCMG over the Dudley's (Team 3D), Roode and Samoa Joe. Who could ask for anything more. Just as a note, let me say that I watched the PPV online through who knows how many mirror sites and didn't pay a dime. If I had to pay, I would have been just as satisfied. For any naysayers, remember that this became a set-up to bring in Booker T and the show accomplished that without having to resort to the new debut gets beat-down angle.

I think the most interesting thing out this ppv was not Booker(while it still rocked) but what the hel is going on with the Coalition!?!?!?!? Why would they help Angle did Karen seduce both Tomko and AJ(probably not) its compelling stuff to me and is honestly what i am looking forward the most on this weeks Impact and I might actually read the spoilers becuase this has got me sucked in and it hasn't even started.

This was a great PPV. Top 10 I've ever seen.
Team 3D..I don't like Brother Ray in the ring or his attitude out but he does his job and makes me hate them IN the ring.
ODB is annoying, Roxxi has a stupid gimmick, and Angel botched a lot of spots, but at least she's hott :)
Kaz plays the underdog perfectly, reminds me of Maven's push a lot.

First TNA PPV i've watched, and i have to say i was impressed. The only real downer was the little shop of horrers match. I don't remember seeing any huge spots till the end, and those mousetraps were a joke... other than that i was impressed

From what i have heard the PPV sounds great cant wait to see it on Bravo over her in Scotland. The Debut of Booker T was something i expected, Kaz winning is a nice shock, The Abyss match dosent sound up to much but alll in all sounds as if it will be a good PPV

everything about tna OTHER THAN THE WRESTLING is horrible. The announcing when booker T came out was the worst Ive ever heard. They need to drop the WCW style commentery. I enjoy the matches but everything else drives me crazy.

Dude is that absolutely necessary? Considering this is a ppv and there is basically all wrestling so its not needed and this is to discuss the Genesis ppv, and who cares if the announcing of Booker wasn't all that great? He got probably the biggest pop of the night and this ppv was very good except for the Abyss v Black Reign match which sucks for Abyss because he deserves better. And plus how can you not tell me that the Coalition storyline is not at all interesting? AJ and Tomko helping out Angle was the big suprise of the night because everyone including myself thought they were gonna have Cage betray Styles not the other way around. THis has my pumped for Impact to bad they won't have a lot of build up for turning point because it's only three weeks away instead of 4, but as you said the matches will rock, at least we agree on that.

I actually agree with Calabaraze.. I really can't stand Mike Tenay. I can't remember what match I was watching the other night on Impact, [i think it was the main event] but he just talks at the most inopportune moments, and it's just unnecessary. I think TNA has some great, new talent, and some of their story lines are interesting. I just hope they don't make the same mistake WCW made and bury all the young talent for the older WWE stars. Of course as a WWE fan that could be good for them. Because that's pretty much what killed WCW in the first place.

As for Genesis, the Tomko/Styles swirve was cool. I think Kaz going over Christian was good inspite of being a Christian fan. I'm not a big fan of the tag team main events in general, much less for the World title. Why not make it a fatal four way? Or a triple threat where Booker T does a run-in. Good to see Booker T back in a ring, hopefully he'll get the push he deserves.

When he said announcing i thought he meant the guy who does the in ring announcing not Tenay or West....who I've stated in other theads need to be released fired or killed(not seriously) because that in my opinion is the worst part about TNA is that there broadcast announcers suck balls.

WCW was not killed off by former WWE stars. It was a corporate decision by Time Life/Warner in that they didn't want wrestling on their programming as they considered it low-brow. Apparently they didn't get the memo and ratings for TBS and TNT both went down immediately after.

And please, this is the forum to discuss the PPV, not to critique the announcers, etc.
