Welcome to My (And Not Sly's) House
It's pretty stupid having the first headline in your feed talking about "tomorrow" when the headlines were posted two days ago.
That is all.

First round of the 7th Annual WZ Tournament:
KB vs. Main Site staff
I'd gladly pay to watch that.
Of course you can't be on their staff. That would mean having someone competent.
Killam is good. It's not his fault when he has bad leadership. When I wrote for 411, I was doing the live Raw coverage the night Rock returned. Shawn Michaels either appeared or had a message for Undertaker or HHH that night. When I posted the headline, I put The Rock as the top story. The boss there edited it to say that Shawn was there and Rock returned because "Shawn's message was by far the bigger story and I should have realized that."
By "boss" do you mean Becca?
Yes. Yes it is.It's pretty stupid having the first headline in your feed talking about "tomorrow" when the headlines were posted two days ago.

Only if when he wins, he announces the new general manager as Nick Pagleeno. Queue Bischoff music.Added stipulation - if KB wins, he becomes the staff.
I was going to wait to tell you, but I suppose doing it in "public" will garner me more much-needed love from forums people. As you know - but nobody else really knows - there's a good chance I'm going to be tendering resignation after WrestleMania, and leaving Wrestlezone. I might go work for Collider, which would be way better for me than WZ, and would give me the ability to actually "come out" as the senior editor of Wrestling Rumors. Should that happen, I plan on recommending you as my replacement. I will even offer to "train" you before I leave.KB should be on the main site staff but they won't put him on board.

Yeah, that's gonna be a signature quote...Killam is good.

This would probably involve you doing whatever it is Nick wants you to do. If you want to get paid, it'd involve you doing news as well. That's what makes the donuts. Obviously I can't promise anything, but they're going to be losing me, at the same time that LaBar and Isenberg scale back. It's possible. That's as much certainty as I can give you.Would this involve me being a reporter or just the recapper?

Noted. So I'm guessing on WR the news people will be compensated better than I will?

Yeah I knew the few months part. Any idea how things are going so far?
So far so good, as far as I know. I'm going to talk with Chris this weekend on how to get into the back end and look at the numbers. It's hard for me to see what's working and what isn't if I can't see progress. My current project is getting followers on Twitter, because it generates a lot of views. And of course, just keeping the website updated.
There's a widget on Wordpress that I use that keeps track of the number of views and breaks it down by individual posts and shows how people came to the site. It's probably too primitive for long term use but for now it might not be a bad way to go.
That was about day 3 of my first journalism class: Never use today, tomorrow or yesterday in a story or headline.

Those are almost always inferior to Google Analytics. There's a widget on Wordpress that I use that keeps track of the number of views and breaks it down by individual posts and shows how people came to the site. Hopefully you're not using Wordpress for a site you expect to become large...Yeah, I have that on my own wordpress based site. Not really sure how Will has the back-end set up. Just sent Chris a text about it. He's going to set me up this weekend.
