Not enough young faces

Kofi/ZigglerClassic

Pre-Show Stalwart
Why is it all the faces are old men? Big Show, Kane, Undertaker, HHH, Rey Mysterio...they are old dudes. And i'm not talking midcard, I'm talking main event faces. All of them are old. Not a single young main event face other than Morrison. And there's no garantee that Sin Cara will be a face. This is why i am hoping Drew and Miz turn face one of these days so we can get some young fresh faces into the main event scene.

It's easier for a new person to get over as a heel vs an established face and then turn face themselves sometime in the future if need be.

EDIT sorry if it looked like I just pissed all over your post but that's usually how it's done, not meant to just blurt out with a short remark but... well... it's true? isn't it?

I did a thread on this not long ago and some idiots bantered me telling me i was wrong..

The only real young faces WWE have are:

Cena, Orton, Morrison, R-Truth, Tatsu, Trent Barreta, Primo Bryan, Kofi, Bourne and Masters (whos never on the main shows even though he should be) .. Sin Cara is soon to debut which is a great addition and apparently Shelton Benjamin is soon to return as well (which I'd be happy to see, they need him on SmackDown!)

...

Edge, Kane, Show, Rey, Taker, HHH, Henry, Goldust, Christian are all old although id say Christian still has it left in him to stay around for longer (cos he needs the title before he retires). Edge, Rey are soon to retire.. Henry and Goldust just put over young talent.. Taker is basically at the end of his career and there are talks of HHH retiring after wrestlemania. Kane still has a few years left in him and Big Show is just a boring slob.

As previously stated, it's either to boo a guy you don't know about than it is to cheer someone you don't know about.

All that "heel" has to do is hit John Cena, and he's at least noticed. If a good guy debuts, he has to perform miracles before he's noticed, which can often times lead to other guys needing to get buried on the show.

So, they go the easier route. It's strange, because wrestling is a bit weird like that. In order to truly hate someone, you had to have loved them at one point. It's the whole "stabbing you in the heart" effect. However, in the beginning, it's different. It's easy to get a boo and then work your way up to the cheers as you go along in story lines.

1. Its ALOT easier to be heel then face

2. Their are no Great heels to put over the young faces as most of the great heels are now faces HHH, Edge, Orton. Great heels make people love young faces see JBL vs John Cena it took cena to the next level of fandom

3. Promos are scripted a young face if he has charisma is given a script and a match against a mid card heel, that doesnt set up for stardom yet WWE rather get quick fixes by having heels like Sheamus and Barrett feud with Cena only to have them fade:disappointed:

I can see that it's easier to get over as a heel but the question is when is a young heel that is over ready to be thrown into the face territory? Right now I think Miz and Sheamus are over enough to be turned into faces.

I would agree with Sheamus not so much with Miz because WWE needs to build new stars Faces and Heels and Miz's total package really cant work as a face most faces are either great in ring performers or powerhouses, Miz is just ok with good mic skills.

WWE needs more intense/eye catching mid card feuds to help build guys, bring issues that people care about.

Example
A anti-american stable like sheamus, barrett, mcyntire use it to build a guy like jack swagger

Reform the Nation with guys like R-truth, Ezekiel Jackson, Otunga, Shelton Benjamin have them accuse Kofi of selling out and have a feud revolving around the IC title

Have Brodus Clay attack Dusty Rhodes, and Goldust backstage, have them carried out in an ambulance , a feud with him and Cody Rhodes just becomes personal you have a heel immediately becoming a face that the fans will get behind

Simple fact is the WWE does NOT have the stars to just put one guy in against another and build a feud you need to have issues with deeper meaning, that have some psychology in them to build the stars feud as relevant that way the pay off isnt just one man beating another but one man ending a war and fighting for a good cause, or one man or a group continuing to raise terror.

Now this would obviously be for the lower-midcard to build new faces as people already care about the upper/mainevent card by just inserting them in matches, but young faces are not going to build just based on matches not when their are a lack of great heels to generate enough heat that them losing makes the young face their in a match with get over
