In storyline terms, how has he earned a title shot? EVERYONE else in the WWE has to "earn" their shot...except the Undertaker and Triple H.

I'm not talking about the business side right now, I'm talking about the storyline side. In WWE stories, wrestlers have to earn title shots by winning matches, and working their way up the card. It's arguably the most basic tradition in the wrestling business. But the Undertaker? He can win a match 4 or 5 months ago and just randomly insert himself in the title picture and get title shots? How the fuck does that happen?

Do me a favor. Before you reply with another dumbass post, sit for a moment and actually try to comprehend what I'm saying here, and learn to differentiate the difference between storyline and business.

I don't give a fuck what Taker has done in the past. We are in the here and now and Taker hasn't done anything as of late. Mysterio and Morrison both deserve title shots over him. He would probably face Punk one time and be out for another four months. If he would be in a feud with somebody else for a couple months and then challenges for the time, then I would buy into it. The way it looks now, Taker will be the #1 contender and that is unfair to Morrison and Mysterio who have actually done something as of late.

When Morrison & Mysterio start making the WWE money like The Undertaker does maybe the WWE will be more fair to them ... In the meantime as you get older you will learn that life isn't always fair !

No, I understood what you were saying, no need to get nasty. But when Undertaker is above the other contenders (Hardy and Morrison), why not get right into great matches that will draw a big crowd instead of possibly good matches with wrestlers that probably won't be a big draw as in comparison. Even though Morrison-Punk was kind of good last week or 2 weeks ago. But that's just how I see it, I think Undertaker-Punk will be a good feud especially with the Hell in a Cell PPV coming up and the Breaking Point with possible submission matches.

Ahead of say someone like...I don't know...Rey Mysterio? You know, the current Intercontinental champion and former World Champion? Who has won a string of title matches in a row now?

Or, the Big Show? You know, the big beast of a man who has beaten the United States champion in several shows lately?

The Undertaker, after not wrestling for months, is more worthy than the two of them?

They would be more deserving, but consdering that have titles already, they most likley won't be in contention for another title. The Undertaker hasn't done anything during the last 5 months, but looking at his career over the past decade or two, he has proven himself as arguably the most dominant figure in WWE history.

Based on what he has done in the past, it isn't that crazy of an idea to put him in the title picture. Sure, I would've preferred that he didn't do it immeadiately after a 5 month break, but it does make some sense to give someone like Undertaker a spot in the main event immeadiately. It's been done before by the WWE, just look at Survivor Series this year with John Cena. He was injured for a few months, but got a title match right away.

So I guess the next time Taker gets injured, he automatically deserves a title shot whenever he comes back. Punk should win this feud and if Taker wins he probably hold the belt for less than a month as his recent reigns have shown.
