NFL Football LD, 2013/14 Season

Happy with the win. The Pats really needed this bye week coming to heal up. The play calling was solid but FINALLY the receivers were able to get separation.

I was impressed with Tennessee, Cleveland, and Philly. Disappointed by Baltimore, New Orleans, and San Diego.

Thank you New Orleans for under-utilizing and giving up on Chris Ivory. Jet fans appreciate it very much so.

5-4 going into the bye. Only one of their remaining games is against a team over .500 (Carolina). They still have 2 with Miami (4-4) and one @Buffalo (3-6), vs. Oakland (3-5), vs. Cleveland (4-5), and @Baltimore (3-5).

10-6 is possible with this team. They are better then Buffalo/Oakland/Cleveland/Baltimore and then split with Miami and lose to Carolina and that's 10-6 and a playoff berth.

Naturally this team won't do that, they'll probably lose to Baltimore but beat Carolina.

That Baltimore/NYJ game is gonna be an ugly motherfarter. The front seven for both squads might have a field day. Your guys' running game gives you the edge, though. Even if that doesn't seal it for the Jets, big money Joe Flacco will probably throw the game winning TD to Cromartie.

Looking at their schedule, the Chiefs could very realistically be 8-1 going into their bye week.

Close. Who did you have them losing to?

I totally concede that KC is extremely lucky to be 9-0. How many times can you play a team starting their third QB of the year?

I can easily see them losing the last 7 games and missing the playoffs. But until then...

When I made that post, Houston. They had just come off the loss to Seattle where they blew a big lead and should have been 3-1. I didn't predict the Schaub meltdown or Arian Foster and his 62 different injuries.

I had a feeling this would be the year that Houston figured out Schaub just wasn't their guy, but I had no idea they'd drop this far. I think Keenum's going to turn them around though.

If Keenum turns the Texans around, he'll be a miracle worker. Their special teams are garbage, and on defense, Jonathan Joseph has lost a step, Ed Reed has lost a hip, and Brian Cushing is lost for the season. With another game against the Colts and the Pats and Broncos still to come, things are not looking up. Plus, as good as Keenum has looked, it's just two games. Kevin Kolb and Matt Flynn come to mind.

The NFC North race just got real interesting. Three teams tied at the top with a 5-3 record. I liked the Lions chances to compete for the division title before tonight but if they win in Chicago next week and Aaron Rodgers has to miss a few games, that could give them a nice leg up.

Washington 27 Minnesota 28 Less than a minute in the 3rd.

Ponder just left the field. Not sure on the injury.

Vikings win 34-27
They stopped the Skins from scoring when they were inside the 10 yard line with 4 plays and under a minute left.

There are at least 7 websites we can go to in order to get score updates. Calm down.

Damn good game tonight. Those remarkably terrible defenses made both offenses look godlike in stretches.

Another big win for the Lions. They are now atop the NFC North by themselves and with the Rodgers injury, they have a great chance to win this division. They didn't play their best game but made the big plays when they needed them.

Fucking Titans. Seriously. And Locker is hurt again? Which means potentially more Fitzpatrick? Fuck that.

Hopefully Locker is back for the Thursday game and the Titans get back on track.
