Break Me Down.
Ok, having watched No Mercy last night and having to endure ANOTHER Matt Hardy/MVP contest/sketch to kill time on the PPV (and to make MVP look like a moron) it made me wonder, how much longer is this going to go on for? I feel sorry for the crowd, live in attendance last night because they seemed totally dead during that whole segment. Doesn't WWE feel that the smarter move would be to have these two in an actual wrestling match? Especially when it's on a Pay Per View. We pay (in hope) to get "decent" wrestling matches and NOT freakin' pizza eating contests which climax with Matt Hardy vomiting on Montel. Montel is amusing but come on, like he says, he IS the premiere athlete on Smackdown. Lets not showcase him to look like a total clown. Add to that they've done so much now, contest wise . What's next? An essay writing contest? A ballet contest? It's getting very tiresome.
I don't even mind the storyline where they are Tag Champs who hate each other. I would much have preferred to see them defend the Tag Titles last night if they were not going to go at it for the US Title. The two of them put on one of the best matches at the Great American Bash when they last faced for the US Title. Why not have it again? Either way they are two of the better athletes on Smackdown. They are not getting booked meanwhile we get things from Smackdown like Finlay not putting over Mysterio cleanly. I just think WWE really really need to start utilising their best talents with TNA starting to make moves. PPVs are supposed to be a chance to showcase good talent and matches.
Opinions? It's had enough build up now. Is it time Matt and MVP went at it for the United States title?
