Multiplayer for PS3

I'm toying with the idea of getting a PS3, but I want a good multiplayer game (splitscreen). Preferably a shooter (third person or first).

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I heard good thing about MAG too so I bought it. I was so awful I sold that and my PS3 and bought a new 360

Go outside and find some really cold dog shit and eat it. That's more fun then MAG.

Get COD of you want a FPS, but if you're looking for a good NON ONLINE multipleyer game, pick up a Wii. Awesome to play with friends.

First or third person shooters are last gen. Second person shooters are all the rage.

Well that was the only reason I bought a PS3 that and God of War and I beat that so I had no further reason keep my PS3
